Audi TT K04 3" Turbo intake pipe, Cloude9 heatshield and Pro Ram air filter

- Join me as i install the Badger 5 Turbo intake pipe, referred to as the TIP. The Cloude9 Customs heat shield works very well with the B5 TIP, as it sits further away from the engine than the stock airbox. The Pro Ram air filter is great for flow, as it incorporates a velocity stack into the design.
At some point i want to do a comparison video for various air filters, but please take my word for it at this stage, that this is a great filter

Great vid fitted my B5 tip other day with a Neuspeed filter, apart from the lower jub clip if was not to bad no trimming required although I used the original air box subbed.

Belive it or not i managed to fit it without any trimming required, i've even reused the oem jubilee clips and it fits well.
Mine's blue to match the color of the car :)))
Great video as always mate. on an offnote, I don't see why the Creation Motorsport equivalent gets such bad rap, i used that on mine, and it was easy to install, no cutting of the pipe required, and I pulled a 271bhp figure when doing a remap - with a supersized cheap-o air filter.
Tip for this silicone hose or others on top of the soapy water I was having a hell of a time getting my fittings on. I took my wife's blow dryer stuck it in one of the pipe and heated it up then on top of the soapy water I was able to slip it right in in case anyone else is trying to do this in the cold
I tend to use a light smear of oil instead of soapy water, its a bit safer on intake systems where we want to avoid water getting into the system

There's a bit more going on on the ARY, and no one has an off the shelf variant specific to the ARY that I can find
I’ve been looking myself online and was gonna just buy the one for the BAM and try make it fit with some modification 🤷🏻♂️what would you recommend yourself ? I have the Ram air filter and heat shield and the oil catch can from cloud9 fitted already and fmic ordered and once all is fitted I’ll get a remap done
Do Cloude 9 sell a TIP?The breather pipe from the PCV had deteriorated and collapsed so i was just about to replace with new hose from Cloude 9 when i noticed a split at the base of the TIP for the PCV breather hose so once again cars grounded until new TIP can be fitted.

I banged a ram air induction kit on but didn't do the big pipe, is it worth doing or does it need doing?

Is it because it's right hand drive that you can just reach down and access the jubilee clamp at the bottom of the TIP? I had to practically hug my engine to access it from the rear on mine!
Yeah LHD makes it all a lot trickier

Do you have any videos about the pvc system id like to remove the maze off pipes under the inlet mani and just run a single pipe from inlet to the t piece

Look up cloude 9 customs, and badger 5, between those 2 you'll get what you nees
hi , do you have any idea if k03's tt cars as same as this oem inlet or its diffrent ? . im trying to get an oversized inlet but not sure if my car is k03 or faking k04 .
Intakes are completely different
RHD vs LHD. LHD has the break booster, which makes it an arse to install these oversized tips
Yeah LHD is an issue that maybe I should have highlighted 🤔
@@BWSTT Even just getting the intake off the turbo is very hard. Really tight fit and hard to bend my arm that way. Been working for a day and a half trying to get this damn clamp off

Shouldn't you have at least 6" of piping/airflow before the maf? That's what I've heard as a rule of thumb.
No, these MAFs have air straighteners inbuilt.

check your engine bay before you purchase anything...i bought this pipe and i have some serious difficulty replacing it because in my BAM engine the brake fluid reservoir and the master cylinder is exactly in the way:) you literally can't get your hands down to the turbo intake:)
Clearly states on the advert for this pipe when you buy it that its for RHD models, it will fit LHD with a bit of work, but most people wont need to look in their bay to know if theyve got a lhd or a rhd car
@@BWSTT they sell these pipes no matter the driving positions! it's the same for LHD and RHD. My only mistake was that i didn't see in these videos that the brake cyclinder will be in the way in my car. And there is no chance that this pipe will fit in a LHD TT. Do you know someone who installed this pipe into a LHD car?
How did you find the Cloude nine item over a ram air item ?
The cloude 9 fits nicer and needs less trimming on the TIP

Did this on my 2001 MK1 Roadster. Be prepared for a lot of skinned knuckles and swearing to get at that lower clamp that attaches to the turbo! I'll pitch-in $10 USD for a go-pro or mount. Paypal?
