I think people ask this question because they are trying to determine if they can quit their day job... which they hate. So they would be happy with an answer that was like a weekly average.
I totally agree! Especially today sheesh I felt like it was market manipulation going on Gold. I got only $578 profit today and got out better than being in drawdown.
I can totally relate to this. I use percentage instead of a dollar amount. This allows me to focus more on reading the charts and only after I'm done trading will look at the profits, and the majority of the time I'm pleasantly surprised 🤑

You have to find what strategy works for you.
Tori has interesting simple trendline swing/intraday strat. Have to accept big drawdown and patience.
I'm complete opposite. High frequency scalper day trader. 5-10 contracts with tight stop loss.

I couldn’t do daily quotas either. You have to take what the market gives you; if you start to look for trades that the market hasn’t given you that’s when you start to loose money.

Just set range goals instead. Goals are good because when you visualize goals, they brain can't tell the difference between what you have and don't have, which is why visualization is so powerful for creating wealth.

Good point on the unpredictable nature of trading. Side note: the audio in this video (and some others) is very low. See if your video editor can "normalize" audio during production.

The question was "How much you make a day", not "What your profit goals are for a day?" You have a definitive answer for the former question because you already have a history of making profits. What you have done here is 'dodge' the question. Therefore, just tell people what have you made, on avg, per day over the past 6 months instead of avoiding a simple question.
I learned the hard way that you can’t set a dollar amount. Just trade whatever the market gives that day.

Yeah can’t say how much it’ll give. Atr and est move of week or day gives some incite as to how far it will go but not direction. So small atr takes larger trades and high vol high atr prob stay with micros and add to position. Build a position to catch huge moves instead of throw it all on one point and hope it stays in the green.
I try to go for 2% minimum as a goal

Ha if you're hoping to make a specific set amount every day in trading that is not reality. There can be days that you don't trade at all because there's no setup you're comfortable with. Best you can do is aim for a specific percentage on your trades. First thing I wanna do as soon as I see an opportunity is lock in my first 20% for the day. If I see opportunity beyond that I trade accordingly. Plan your trades and trade your plan!
I'm finally getting closer to being a profitable trader after 4 years of losing! Maybe I should try this approach.. this might be the missing key I needed! I made $1,700 profit this week but I am not happy because could be making $6,000/trade and 6,000 * 5 trading days that's $30,000/week. It feels as if I scored 1,700/30,000 and that's a 'F'. I am just realizing that now and I am just destroying my mental well-being with this mindset. Thank You Tori!

I need to apologise, I was a bit harsh with a comment I left on a video of yours previously, sorry, there are a lot of you tube creators that can give new traders the wrong impression about how easy it is to be profitable. Your strategy does seem very basic, I think a lot of it is your intuition.

She is legit. It’s hard to put a number especially on the type of trading you do. I’m in futures and it’s impossible to set an amount and be consistent. There are way to many variables…contract, contract size…every trade cost is different and the volume at which I trade…cage said she is balky with what the market gives her and Inthink that is the best answer. The hard part is controlling your emotions and being able to take 300 to 700 dollars in a trading session and keep going or being smart and shutting it down for the rest of the day. It’s a business and sometimes you just need to keep the lights on…no lamborghins in my sight but I do what I love and work for myself…it’s all on me….futures trades 24/7 so sometimes I will be up at 2:00 am to trade…sometimes I get up and have fun all day instead….find your dreams and pay the price. 🎉

She’s not going to say. If she did, she’d probably ruin her channel. I reckon she makes little to no money. I dare say she makes all her revenue from RUclips - content creator 1st. Trader 2nd. A real profitable trader can “roughly” say what they make a day. Have a look through the comments, I noticed only those who are making money can actually mention roughly what they make. Just like myself, I can say that I make “roughly” $300/day....usually it’s high $200’s but there’s a good day in the week which would bring the total up to $300+ ish. See, simple!
