Not looking, but watched all. That is a solid honest review man. Well done Jimmy.

Appreciate the review - honest and straight to the point! I'm looking to get one, just spending some time researching because they're so different from anything I've used. That said, I've never been disappointed by any Gretsch guitar. They're affordable and pretty damn well-made -- any issues with general build don't matter to me because they have so much character -- love my Jim Dandy, it's a spectacular piece of cheap equipment. I've had more expensive guitars and they sound so boring in comparison. Thanks again for the review!

Marianne, how are you? Thank you for watching the vid & for the kind words. I agree that a lot of the inexpensive Gretsch punches well beyond their weight. I picked up a 2210 some time ago & use it a lot for recording. Solid good playing, great sounding axe. Wishing you a safe & Merry Christmas.

Appreciate your presentation.. I’m down here in NewZealand and resonators are thin on the ground .. they got one in a music store in a town an hour or so away .. I think I’ll make that trip to buy it now 👍👍👍

Damn dude, sick licks! How do you feel this guitar is for bending, fretting chords and strumming? I was looking to get one as even possibly my main acoustic, though I'm not too much of a slideplayer, thanks!

It's a great guitar. I use resonators in place of acoustic guitar. If it's setup properly, you can make it do whatever you want

Looking to get one if my tax refund is approved. Your video was actually really useful compared to most others I've watched because you talked about pros AND cons and not just specs.

Hey Jimmy liked your review. In your opinion Gretch,Recording King, Republic.
They are all cheap guitars I understand that. I play Martin acoustic,Les Paul electric, Fendr electric and classical music I use Alhambra. I never played resonator guitars. So a cheap one to see if it is for me. If so probably move on up to a used National. My question is out of the 3 in your opinion is the best to start with ?

Raymond, good evening. How are you? You can start off with the Gretsch. That'll probably give you the feel of a decent resonator. I'm looking for a National myself. I hope that helps. Have a great night

Hi, I hesitate between the Gretsch G241 Alligator and the G9240 Alligator. Can you compare them?

Good afternoon. How are you? The only other Gretsch resonator, that I've played, is the honey dipper. That's another really nice resonator. I picked the 9241 only because it's wood which has a very specific sound. The honey dipper is a metal body resonator. It sounds very cool, but I was looking for more of a wood tone. I hope that helps

The 41 has the Fishman Nashville pickup installed while the 40 has not.

Good afternoon. How are you? Still a solid guitar, unfortunately I don’t have it any longer. Someone saw the review and wanted to buy it. I told him it wasn’t for sale, and they said name my price. Needless to say, I need to find another one. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t yet.

I thank you for this reply. I have been considering a resonator and my wife thinks I have plenty of guitars. I thought perhaps an affordable choice would be easier, but I don't want to make a mistake. So the research continues.
It's not the kill, but the thrill of the chase...@axxeification
