I got a popov trifold, been using it for about 7 months. It’s not had a single issue (unless thickness is an issue for you) they hand make the wallets up in Canada and use really nice leather from the USA. I’d give them a look if your still looking.
I have carried a Saddleback bifold wallet every day for almost fifteen years. A few months ago, I noticed some of the stitching had frayed and the leather had worn in the same spot. This is in a high use, high wear location on the wallet. I emailed them a picture and asked if it could be repaired (even though the wallet is still 100% useable). They wrote back they didn't think it was, verified my shipping address, and sent me a brand-new wallet FREE OF CHARGE because after all, part of what you're waying for with them is their 100 year warranty.
Great video, like you I also prefer the thicker, stiffer leather that takes extra time to break in. You know it’s going to last that much longer. I am definitely interested in purchasing a saddleback wallet but only if I were able to get the thicker cut leather like you mention in this video. Is it possible to get Tim’s contact info so I can deal with him directly? That way I know I’ll be dealing with someone who has first hand experience with the issue you talk about in this review! Any help would be much appreciated! Keep up the great reviews!
