  • In this episdoe we head over to our buddy Jay at Nostalgia Ranch to pick up some early ford rear bones and check out his shop! then it back to Luckys to get that banjo rear end assemebled till tradgity strikes and a new plan is put in place.

    So glad to see you fellas have got another installment up online, Piero! Watching you and Lucky work is much more fun than wet-sanding my engine bay for the fifth time! And it's great to see somebody else overcoming the obstacles that ALWAYS crop up. (It's The Journey, not the End Point that makes these crazy projects so fun and satisfying. And yeah, occasionally so aggravating you gotta scream ;))
    I test-fired the stroker I built w my buddy John, last week. Now if I can get it painted without losing my mind, I can start to put it back together for the last time, (I hope!) My best to you and your great crew.

      Thanks man.. it’s funny cause my analytics says the drop off is around 12 minutes haha They are in a playlist so in theory you could watch them all in a row and it would be full length 😂

      Totally.. my buddy Mark didn’t know either.. he got it with a pile of parts and was still wrapped in the newspaper from the chromer.. it could even been dropped at the chromer during polishing 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s all good! Got refunded and using that to chrome another ..

    Man, that sucks on the chrome banjo. Like you say, that's hot rodding. At least your buddies came thru on another one.

      Yeah totally sucks.. I actually had 2 others that we used for the internals so there was plenty of them just not chrome haha

    Put a short ten ton hydraulic cylinder inside it and warm it up with just a heat gun and pay attention to the movement. It's not out that far from round. Steel it clay!

      Thanks but don’t want to risk damaging the chrome and I was refunded the money and sent it back :) easier to just get another one I have chromed..

    Shame about that centre section. I’d be tempted to try straightening it using a port-a-power. Might crack it though

      Yeah wasn’t worth trying to make it round.. Chrome was so nice too that it would of totally of F’ed it up..

      Yes I did. Mark was defiantly cool about and had no idea it was not round. He got it from a pile of parts he bought off someone so he never used it.

      Yes there’s a mount on the torque tube that’s how it is on the stock set up too..

      Glad you mentioned that , all that effort to rebuild the axle and they used pitted bearings . Ho hum .

      Rollers on that bearing are just fine. Plenty of life left and no it’s not much effort.
