Horse whispers and what they do: Warrior: Physical attack on a single enemy. Mage: 8 magic attacks on random enemies, chance to miss. Cleric: Fully restores allies HP and restores 50% of their MP. Also revives fallen allies. Thief: Physical attack on all enemies, chance to steal grub. Pop Star: Restores allies HP, gives them the excited status. Chance to distract enemies. Chef: 5 Magic attacks on random enemies with splash damage, chance to miss. Cat: 5 physical attacks on a single enemy. Imp: Physical attack on all enemies, user takes recoil damage. Scientist: Magic attack that hit enemies that are next to chosen target. Tank: 7 physical attacks that hit random enemies. Princess: Fully restores allies MP, gives them the gleeful status. Chance to inflict the calm status on enemies. Flower: Fully restores allies HP, gives them the gleeful status. Also revives fallen allies. Vampire: 3 Physical attacks on all enemies. Elf: Magic attack that hits enemies that are next to chosen target. (Pro tip: Horse Whisper is unlocked at relationship level 15 with the horse.)
Not anymore. I'm past level 15 and that option hasn't appeared since the demo. Someone told me it's because they changed it on the first update so now it's level 35 I think.
Based off of these plus my own experiences, here's my summary of the Horse-Whispering assists. Warrior: Medieval Joust. God-Tier on bosses. I actually killed the Dark Lord with this move and it was extremely satisfying. Mage: Looks really good, but it's kind of outclassed by some other Horse-Whispering assists. Cleric: For one of the best classes in the game, this is surprisingly mediocre. Thief: VERY good. The Cat's Steal Grub is better for Delicious Snurps, but for large numbers of enemies, this one's amazing. Pop Star: Extremely situational. Hyper is good, but only on offensive classes. If you're using this, have your healer in the safe spot or something. Chef: Mage's but it scales off of Attack and deals splash damage. Likely better than Mage's Horse Whispering from the looks of things. Cat: Might be slightly better than Warrior's in certain situations due to being a multi-hitting move that evades the damage cap. Multiplier is lower, but with a good mood it can do more damage. Also God-Tier for bosses. Imp: Recoil isn't great. Doesn't look like it's worth the cost of all ur MP. Scientist: Maybe a bit better than Warrior's, but functionally it's almost identical to Elf's. Tank: Fun assist for a fun class. It's like Mage's but physical and doesn't miss. Princess: *B E E G* damage for your allies. Probably one of the better if not best Horse-Whispering assists. Flower: Cleric's but better for most situations. Unfortunately doesn't redeem Flower's mediocrity. Vampire: Assert dominance on your enemies. Up there with Princess, Warrior/Cat, and Scientist. Elf: Literally just Scientist's but with magic arrows instead of -German Engineering- the power of science.

I'm assuming area of effect is hitting every enemy with same amount if power, so I'd say Vampire is best for that one. Warrior is definitely best for single target though
as a princess i can confirm; doing a little dance on a horse IS strong enough to restore my entire team's MP fully and weaken my enemies at the same time
Say what you want, but warrior is actually busted in the endgame. I’m currently level 38 and I had praise, I used the horse whisper and did 1800 damage like wtf. Imagine maxed out food buffs, gear/weapons, level 50, with praise. That’d be like a good 3000+
I went back to the final boss to get the second ending and did the Horse Whispering with the scientist (I had +99 magic and was around level 34) and it did somewhere past 1600 damage, insane

I think the second time my team was kidnapped and I had unlocked the princess role, I tried going over it to see what it was but accidently ended up choosing it and got stuck with it, probably the best mistake I made in the game, I still have my character as a Princess role even after finishing the game, and the horse whisper has saved my ass so many times I can't even begin to explain. And personally I have a Cleric, Scientist and Tank on my team along with the princess so considering how much mp the scientist and tank need to function is quite a lot so having the princess, who boosts atk dmg, restores MP, and distracts the enemy leading to lower/no damage at all from them while also doing pretty okay damage herself, Imo the princess role is incredibly overlooked and deserves more attention and love.
Thief and Vampire are personally my favourites, Thief was goofy and seemed to actually have a strategy/Connection with the Horse. And Vampire was straight up cool (Also respect the grind of just T-Posing until everything dies)
My fav horse whisper has gotta be the scientist one! The hyper cannons were absolutely bangin'! And my second favorite has gotta be the princess! The music was so emotional that I almost cried a bit! :')
I will forever love Tank both due to the fact I always run my Hero mii as one and just the sheer heavy metal badassitude of combining with your horse like a Megazord in order to turn into a LITERAL ROCKET BATTERY. Tank might be ridiculous, but it’s the best kind of ridiculous.
The theif one is good, cause you attack all the enemies + you can get food The Scientist and tank ones Are pretty Nice too! The vampire, T-posing. Quite effective.

thief, scientist or warrior is the best. the guy in the vid used the thief one ONLY at the castle part of the game and it did 200+ dmg to the enemies AND got tons of food, warrior is rusher with over 1k attack, and scientist is just straight up op. yeah, i get that vampire looks cool, its just not the MOST powerful. also elf is a close fourth, it does some major damage when you get high level

thief, scientist or warrior is the best. the guy in the vid used the thief one ONLY at the castle part of the game and it did 200+ dmg to the enemies AND got tons of food, warrior is rusher with over 1k attack, and scientist is just straight up op.
yeah, i get that vampire looks cool, its just not the MOST powerful.
also elf is a close fourth, it does some major damage when you get high level
