Something I found out recently is that a stubborn mii can refuse the pop star’s skills “love & peace,” which can lead to the pop star having a quarrel with that mii. Ironic that an ability to end quarrels can lead to another one starting
5:42 Fun fact: If you exit the "Eat grub" menu after you feed a mii an unliked food and then re-enter the "Eat grub" menu, you can feed the mii the disliked food again. No second food required.
my favorite useless fact that i learned recently: If you have a Thief in your party while escorting the Neksdor Prince, speeding up the game won't make them do the running animation. this means the thief in question will do a super-fast sneaking / walking animation instead. i am unsure if this applies to all miis in the cutscene, but i bet it does.
Good video, I've been playing Miitopia since it's release on the 3DS and you introduced me to quite a lot of facts. My personal favourite niche fact that many people know about is the the Princess' Escort ability has the ability to stop spread damage moves from hitting it and adjacent Miis, and is the only dodging move that I am aware of the has this unique skill. (Backflip from the Thief and the dodge skill from Cool Mii's both dodge the attack but the spread damage still affects the adjacent Miis)
7:00 this fact actually applies for a TON of skill and personality-based dialogue. for example; male airheaded miis will go "waaaaah!" when frolicking, whereas female airheaded miis will go "hahaha." 8:40 the "chef's dagger" for the thief also does this
Fun fact: in the Japanese version you can chose if your mii speaks in 1st 2nd or 3rd person. This feature is thanks to the fact that there's 3 ways to say "I/me" (僕、私, and one other i forgot) but they just made it so you type it in instead of choosing one of the 3 options. Thanks to this you could just spell out the miis name, making them talk in 3rd person (or write out "you", making them talk in 2nd) Idk if this was mentioned in any of the other fun fact video but it was a nice detail i noticed when playing Miitopia while trying to practice Japanese
Well a lotta videos that put those facts in them are normally titled "useless information", so its kinda expected to be useless (not trying to sound mean 🙏)
Another slight detail! When your in the sprinkles section, what your mii's are doing depends on their personalities. I learned this when my airheaded cat (Lucky) started waving at me. It was too adorable :D
I also had an airheaded cat named lucky in an old playthrough... hes kind of an inside joke with me and my sibling aswell so its really funny to see someone else having a mii like my oc lol
Fun fact about the first one: this also applies to tomodachi life. Some costumes like the Arabian-prince outfit or the Wild-pop-star outfit will give that same undershirt if given to a female mii
Here is a tip: if your main character is sick for a long time in the game (In my case 3 weeks) you can just go to final battle and your main character will stop being sick and all the other ones that were sick will stop too, BUT when i did this, in the end of the final battle the main character was switched in all cutscenes for other party members and never being mentioned in letters but instead other party members (but remember this only happened on my playthroug, so there is a chance nothing will happen)
The different levels of mounted attack actually have different animations such as a small impact effect when the horse kicks. Also when a laid back mii activates avenge they don’t get angry or start crying
5:45 It may not count as a sitting, but you could just exit and go back into the food session and the mii kind of just forgets they even ate the food and you can have them eat it twice in a row
14:14 There’s also another way to get locked out of 100%, and it’s in the 3ds version. It’s if you play Miitopia after the 3ds online services shut down, because there is music that plays exclusive to the questionnaire, that can only be heard with spotpass on.
I actually ended up knowing almost all of these, guess I'm just a bit insane when it comes to this game I think the most obscure fact I personally know is that there's actually a completely unused cutscene in Neksdor. If you somehow enter the first stage without your Greenhorne teammates being kidnapped via modding, the event featuring the MC complaining about being alone is replaced with one of them and a teammate complaining about the heat. Pretty cool to see a possible leftover from an earlier version where the story was a little different
In the german translation the guardian spirit is actually called "Horst, der über alles herrscht" which basically means "Horst, the one that rules over all"‼
In the European French version of the game, the Dark Lord is known as "Avatar du Mal", while the Darker Lord is known as "Avatar du Pire". When you apply the appropriate translations, his name literally goes From Bad to Worse! Anyway, the Italian translation has the default Lovey-Dovey Couple be named Romeo and Juliet, referencing Shakespeare, while European English has them be Harry and Sally, referencing When Harry Met Sally. Way better than whatever American English gave them...
I'm really proud of knowing almost all of these (didn't know you could spare the shield or eat in the journal), but specifically the Bat Tornado one was something I used so often that I forgot that it's not common knowledge. It's a genuine lifesaver for magic focused teams if you end up fighting Terror Fiends a lot
Rip to anyone that will never get a 100% completion. Funny thing about the Banana Fritter skill, it is very much possible to literally never have this skill activate once if you never have a chef in your party, so if you have HP Bananas maxed, the "New Skill Activated" thing for it will never be seen. I'm glad to see more videos like this. Maybe one day, when I get the right software, I can make my own Miitopia minor details video since I have so many clips and these videos inspire me. I have a clip of a Stubborn Pop Star's Again quirk activating after using Way Out of Tune and the teammates in the back were not happy about it.
If you mean editing, there's definitely a good software you could get. I'd recommend mine because it was free, but... it has since been discontinued, lol
I'd be down to hear you cover facts that other people have talked about. I just enjoy hearing you talk, and the personality you put into all the videos you do
11:45 I think the darkest lord has an odd mechanic revolving around this. As you know, the warrior's proud defender skill will make them defend against and physical attacks from the opponent. This also applies to the darkest lord's basic attack. However, this does not affect the theif's booby trap. That leads me to question if that attack is coded differently or if the booby trap and proud defender just have separate lists of what classifies as a physical attack. My theory is that each skill that revolves around a type of attack simply has a separate list of enemy attacks, as opposed to each attack being physical or magic. On the topic of the booby trap, I also think enemies are more likely to use a physical attack on miis with it up. I don't know for certain, but its definitely there to make sure you don't feel like that turn was wasted.
11:33 this was actually critically important for my Tower of Despair run since most enemies there use contact, which makes Counter Arrow incredible for the tower. This isnt nearly as effective in Tower of Dread since most enemies there rely on ranged attacks, with Dark Sun's only contact damage being from the medals that aid it.
8:48 Actually, the broom isn't the only one. I remember noticing something like this with another mii on a recent replay. I'm pretty sure it was a chefs dagger with a theif mii, but I can't remember for certain. I know it wasn't the broom for sure, but I wonder how many other non-cat claw weapons change color.
You can also have your Miis pose with the various monsters in the game within the journal! Does that do anything practically useful whatsoever? No, but I thought it was pretty cute and silly. And what’s more Miitopia than that? :3
Also, with bosses that have an npcs face (Dark Lord, [Youngest Fab Fairy] Frog, [Granny] Imp, etc), when you pose with them, there’s a way you can add your face to that boss, and if you pose with another mii the swapped face will remain there
Mounted attack level 3 has golden effects, and I believe lvl 2 has blue effects. Lvl 1 is white. Plus, the backwards hind-kick gets an upwards slash beam and the wide slash gets bigger at higher levels
Seriously?!? Y'all don't just mash the eat button while scrolling through the journal to make the good munchie noises for hours on end?!? It's just me?!
there's actually this one event I just got in one of my previous save files in Miitopia 3DS (emulated btw) and it's VERY rare to happen in the game, which I'm pretty sure not everyone got it in this event if all of your Miis fall in low health (no criteria was given but it'll most likely happen when one of your Miis fall below 50% health), one of the Miis will share their banana with everyone, the Miis who got the shared banana will gain relationship exp with the Mii who shared their banana I'd say this is a fun fact but again, this is a very rare chance to happen
15:26 does anyone know which skill it is that the default MP amount can't afford when you get it? It seems so random so I want to know which skill it is.
one of the strangest, most useless, facts I know about Miitopia is related to the version differences. The skill “cadge” (laid back mii stealing a snack) is named a bit of British slang, and a lot of that was changed in the US version so I thought it would have changed as well, but nope! Cadge is still cadge! And my US friend was very confused by it
I was still wondering… in the Tower of Despair there’s text floating around in Miitopian. I’m DYING for someone to translate it or if anyone has because I bet it’s gonna uncover some L O R E
I actually did lose to the slime from some awful rng, and it just softlocked my game. It would let me choose a job, but the second i confirmed my selection, it crashed.
Wait, people don't know that miis can get 3 bananas/candies in the inn? Do people just not buy those? I seriously don't understand how people can not notice this unless they simply don't buy bananas. MP candies I can kinda understand because you almost never need to buy them, but do people just not buy bananas?
... why WOULD you buy them? the game throws a ton at you and miis don't really care to buy them after a little while, unless for some reason you're using a comical amount of bananas. besides, miis get plenty screwing up getting weapons and armor
@@dropfish3109 I prefer to use autoplay because I like to see all my miis interacting on their own, including my main. This leads to a lot of banana wasting, and I often end up with low numbers. I guess I assumed this would happen to normal playthroughs without autoplay.
