Great performance! In their 40s but still rocking real hard, METALLICA FOREVER! RIP Ronnie James Dio too
The best thing about Metallica for me, and probably most other people, is that no single person stands out from the rest, instead, all of them, even the one's who aren't in the band anymore, still Rock hard, and kick ass!
@ww2luv ronny means ronnie james dio, the singer of rainbow, black sabbath and dio (and heaven & hell), who died 2 days prior to this concert. he was one of the best!
3:51 the kiss to dio...
Epicness is the best word to describe this song and this band.
Wow the crowd is really into it. Takes the performance to the next level
it's Portugal, nothing special here
Fade to black now this is why it's the best song!!
a great way to say goodbye to dio..with one of the best songs ever
THis is the.... BEST performance of ANY Metallica song I've EVER seen.. I'm stunned :p
RIP to all the men of metal who have fallen....(Ronnie, Randy, Cliff, Dimebag, ect)
Rip dio we miss your awesome heavy metal voice and we miss you! And rip cliff Burton you are the greatest bassist to ever live!!! Long live metallica and heavy metal!!!

RIP DIO... i hope u got to the temple of the king :)
This is the best song of Metallica, I love this song so f*cking much...
and RIP Dio, you in every single Metal heart, you will not be forgotten..
A Metal Legend is dead, and that hurts very much...:(
beautiful performance for a beautiful song dedicated to a beautiful person
omg after more than 30 years and they still got it
you rarely see a band with this awesomeness
someone sad too long ?? this is one of the rare longer songs that should even be longer than it is. not one second of it went to waste, it all fits too perfect
best performance of fade to black!!!!

James still got it!!!! Thumbs up if you agree ! \m/ \m/ Long live METALLICA!!!!
R.I.P. RONNIE JAMES DIO \m/
BEST CROWD PERIOD
Kirk's best solo of his career. Simply classic.
God, they sound good these days.
What changed since the first half of the Death Magnetic tour? The guitars sound incredible.
Long Life To Metallica
Amazing this version of fade to black has so much emotion you can just feel, the despair for dio
R.I.P Dio you will be forever missed.
the solo is even better 20 years later
James is so fucking awesome here that i want to cry.
The crowd is singing intro. Epic!
METALLICA ROCKS!!

One of the best metal ballads for me, alongside with Beyond the Realms of Death by Judas Priest and Remember Tomorrow by Maiden.
Metallica 4ever
It's funny how fast Jaymz changes his hairdude.
Just two days prior (in Zagreb) he had his hair oiled back onto his head. Here, the familiar bad-ass hairstyle. Gotta love 'em.
music is life then Metallica is a god
I'm in awe that Kirk actually used a 5 string arpeggio at the end........I didnt think he knew what that was.
james scream at 430 is like the old days!
Metallica rules this fucking world and James is the best vocalist ever born on the Earth. See you in Athens Metallica.
God bless cliff Burton and Ronnie James dio such great people rest in piece you guys we love you both!!! :)
@Poisonnachos Not an amp. Just a wireless device. They plug the guitar into the wireless device, and that thing sends the signal to another wireless device (which is connected to the amp).
"Do you feel the love?! DO YOU FEEL LIKE I DO?!!??!"
yeahhhh!!!!
go to 240p for the ultimate 80's mtv experience.
5:26 Awesome Voice!
much better live than on album!
Dio's music will live forever ........
A great song for a Great singer.
RIP DIO!
@TheStetu Thanks:)
james hes back just like 80"s
anyone else notice that they play at a higher tempo when they are live, so that the solo at the end of the song sounds different than the studio version?
@bubblegum0912 He was the first singer in Rainbow...a band formed by Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple. Then Ronnie replaced Ozzy in Black Sabbath for a couple albums, then did solo work in his own band DIO. Noted for a fantastic voice and being a genuine, great person. Check him out, you'll become a fan if you like metal music.
estive neste muitos bons músicos
@FREEBIRDFLY50 Dude, Ron Macgovney was MetallicA's first bass player, but he didnt recorded anythig, he badly could play bass at all, but the fact is he was the 1st MetallicA bassist before they found Mr. Clifford Lee Burton.
Realmente é verdade
estive neste concerto foi tão awesome !
RIP Ronnie \m/
i was there!
I have noticed that Metallica has seemed to have gotten alot better at playing live recently. At the very least, Lars has gotten better I have noticed; which I think has inspired the rest of the group. Metallica are on the right course by trying to play well live again, for both the sake of the integrity of their music, and the fans who are listening in the audience and on youtube, lol!
Ronnie almost died on the same day my uncle Greg did cause uncle Greg died on may 22nd and Ronnie died on the 16th of may my uncle was 20 something years old and accidentally shot himself when he was drunk in his room. :( god bless you ronnie james, uncle Greg and cliff Burton!! It was a tragic to lose you people! :(
@jaysirrock thanks mate, i will check him out :)
@jeffrie9681 Because this song is majestic, if you lissen to this song you forget evrything around you, and if you do really love metal you can listen to this because this is the best song of Metallica.. Don't knock it off, please do not, I enjoy this music everytime I hear this
@ lllidatch I totally agree with you, ffs how could you dislike this, This should have been on S&M, this is the greatest and best song in the world(no it is not a tributeXD).

Everytime if I have the change to listen on School, I do always this song, and Id never gets annoyed..
I want METALLICA CONCERT HERE:D I love Fade To Black, can't get a night without it:$
@jacksonstain I'm 28 and i cried for a good 3 hours when he died.
solo: wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah
@zaqwer it's The End of The Line from the album Death Magnetic
@ww2luv ronny was the very first bassist of metallica but his real name is ron mcgovney
@Soad1994metallica I agree with you on that.
@Poisonnachos Wireless? You can see a wire from their guitar into their pocket, that's the wireless system.
Это просто охрененное видео!!!!!!! 0_0
@blackk also the solo from same song in 1991, Moscow
@Master0Shake good one
R.I.P Dio
I sincerely hope that Dio can hear this from heaven
@crazyhawk59 That has not always been the truth, I saw them on the Load tour back in '95, and they seemed lazy to me. It was because of that lackluster performance I never had thought about seeing them again. But seeing these more recent performances on youtube has re-inspired me to see them again. To simplify what I was saying in my first message; it seems as if they care more now than they did before about their live performance. To which I say, keep up the good work boys!
@kmc00007 yeah i know, that's exactly what i said... it was FREEBIRDFLY50 who didn't knew that.
Fuck me this performance is legendary
YEEEEEEES! XD
"Do you feel like I do?" I wonder if he intended that to be a Frampton reference.
@Guigzibit The song is The End of the Line
ronnie ronnie ronnie
@XxMetallica81xX yea but i actually forgot about that
