he seems really humble and you just believe everything he says - seems truly genuine, honest, and intouch with himself. players just arent like him anymore, they have all become cocky and arrogant, well- almost all of them.
Was there for one of his first preseason games in 1975 (Champaign-Urbana) and never missed seeing a Bears game since. He was the best there ever was. Miss you, Walter.
To me, I think he's the best Running Back that ever lived.. I'm so serious about that. I've been a Chicago Bear fan since watching him play in '85. I loved the way he played the game. He played with such Greatness and charisma. It was just a joy and prev-liege to have watched him play football all those years.I love you Walter, you were always the Best to me...R.I.P.
The best tribute, IMO, I have heard people give to Walter is when they compare today's running backs to him. I have watched several games featuring a star RB and the announcer will say something like, "That's a Walter Payton move". That just proves that even to this day, even though Walter no longer holds the record for rushing yardage, he is still the standard to which other RBs are compared. As Ford says in its commercials, Walter didn't just raise the bar; he IS the bar!!!
Lifelong bears fan. I love walterpayton. Great player. Tough as nails. He died way to soon. I love the guy. One of the strongest spirits that have ever played the game. May his spirit live on. Love you walter.
It was because of Payton,i started watching FB back in the early 80s.Watching him run all ths yards, blocking, jumping, flipping over players. It was truly amazing to watch him play. One of my All time favorite, great, best FB player.Payton Fan 4life,Thank U,Miss U.RIP😢
I have thought that many times myself Veronica and I don't understand why that has not happened yet. The only reason I can think of is maybe his family has not given their consent.
In another video there was concern voiced that it would be another Gale Sayers story, especially since he was such good friends with Matt Suhey. Personally I think it'd be great.
Can't believe how intelligent, articulate, and introspective he is. Amazing.
Super sweet and way bright!
Beyond amazing! 🙏

They should make a story of his life. Lead actor: Blair Underwood. Walter was one of the greats!

There is great... and then several notches above that is One Man... Walter Payton
There's a lot of great advice in this video; none of this applies to just football.
