Sorry I did not see this comment before :( We do not recommend hotels or restaurants but the area is full of nice accomodation, I'm sure you'll fnd the right one for your needs!
That's amazing, I'm sure you will enjoy Orosei! If you will have your own vehicle I definitely recommend Dal Pastore. It's hidden in the countryside, a bit far from the town, but it's a family of shepherds that only serves traditional food. No menu though, there is no choice, they bring you what they have.

I suspect Sardinia is where a lot of Celtic culture originates. They have the standing stones, bagpipes, horse breaking, etc. And they slowly walked to Spain, Britain, and Germany.
To be honest I disagree, even to this day Sardinians are the closest descendants of Neolithic European farmers, and it has been speculated that their ancestral language was related to Basque. Though I would not rule out the possibility that these older cultures influenced the Celts to a degree.

We plan to fly to Cagliari from Naples but we mainly wana see the sea caves like Cala Luna and it’s nearby attractions there. I found out that this area is quite far from Cagliari. Should we do Olbia airport instead? Thanks 😊

I think Cala Gonone is probably the best choice in the area if you don't have a car as it's the town with most touristic services, indeed I don't think you'll have problems of transportation from there, I saw many agencies organising tours and trips (but I can't recall any name sorry!). La "X" nelle parole sarde si legge "sc" quindi "Nuraxi" si legge "Nurasci", ma è una cosa presente principalmente nella variante meridionale della lingua locale. Nella variante centro settentrionale non si dice Porceddu ma Porcheddu; i culurgiones fatti in tale foggia e con tale ripieno sono un piatto tipico dell'Ogliastra, tanti cibi associati alla Sardegna in realtà sono rappresentative di specialità molto locali, anche se oramai son diventate delle turist trap perché spesso reinterpretate con una certa dose di fantasia, se volete gustare i sapori autentici dovreste esplorare con minore fretta le tantissime sfaccettature che la Sardegna offre.

The place is beautiful and the water is warm and clear, but the people will not give you a glass with water next to your coffee, but they will happily sell one bottle which they sell at 3 euro 500ml. I am also curious why they charge you more than the price on the menu..., also been to Cala Brandinchi and they said that was full, but they did some thinking and they sold us a 15 euro thicket per person with a credit at the bar of 10 euro though the entrance is free. Without being disrespectful to Italians, they should have some respect for their tourist and for people in general, is a huge part of their country economy. The train is another bad thing in Italy, they tried to sell me the most expensive thickets and they don`t inform me about the cheapest option. I`ve traveled in Tropea from Napoli they didn`t want to sell me the tickets that I wanted, if they will do the transaction they will charge you 50 euro per person additional + the value of the online ticket.

No, tourism is not a big part of our country's economy. We aren't beggars waiting for you to come, thanks. Have some respect. Italy is not Malta or Gibraltar and we don't "live off the tourists". I get you were mistreated but we don't have to have respect for tourists, no doctor prescribed to come to Italy. As we don't have already enough problems with mass tourism.
