Beautiful work all through videos 1 to 4. Granted, Heather didn't make as much from the yard sale. But she was able to process and sort all of the belongings in the house thanks to you and your mom. 😊

These videos motivate me to keep downsizing the items in my house. It feels so good to tackle this now it won't become any easier as I get older lol Lots of hard work done but what a difference to the house emotional items would be even harder to face & deal with job well done ladies!
Loved this series Bonnie, all of you did a great job. Would love to have your Mom in more of your videos, you two are a hoot! Best of luck to Heather in clearing the rest of her Mom’s possessions. My Dad did us a huge favour in downsizing to a much smaller house about 5 years before he passed away… it made the job of clearing out his house so much easier and in fact between us 4 siblings we were happy to divide what he’d left between us as it wasn’t too much and was all really nice usable stuff. I plan to do the same for my two boys. ❤❤
I at one time was the Garage Sale Queen. That is, I loved to stop at sales. I bought many things second hand. I have seen, in my area, that garage sales are no longer popular. Both to come shop at one and also to host one. I also have hosted quite a few. It takes a huge amount of energy for little results. I live in a very nice neighborhood once known for good sales and the last few years, our area hardly ever has a successful garage sale.
You passed on some very valuable advice/info: disperse those items in advance...dont leave it for the heirs to deal with. Mountains of stuff does NOT say I love you. We need alot, alot less than we think we do.
I don’t know what it is about Yard Sales and Garage Sales that makes everyone shopping them feel like they should be able to buy an entire wardrobe for $3.00! When my mother in law passed, we tried to sell all her clothes. She was very active in her church and really enjoyed shopping for NICE clothes. Sunday best stuff, from Macy’s, Broadway, Robinson’s-May, or Nordstrom’s, where she paid $80.00 or more for a single dress years ago! She was a little elderly lady who went to church. And so many of her things had been worn just a few times if at all. So very good quality gently used nice clothes. It was so hard on my husband, just to have to haggle over his mom’s things, but the offers were disrespectful to say the least. People offered .50 cents and 25 cents! It just wasn’t worth the effort of hanging signs and advertising it, going to the city and getting a permit, hanging everything outside and pricing it all. (Why we even bothered?? They didn’t even look for a price!) and we weren’t asking for more than $5, $3, 1. So we weren’t kidding ourselves that we were going to make a fortune, but it would’ve honestly been cheaper to throw it all in the trash can. All that to reassure you all you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just what it is these days. Even Mira didn’t make a penny off of sending all those clothes to Thred Up. It wasn’t worth the effort. I even tried selling stuff on Poshmark, but that’s a ton of work too for the return. You have to photograph it all, post it all, respond to inquiries. Then if you even sell anything, you have to pack it up and go and stand in line to ship it out. And pay for all that too. They won’t let you charge for shipping! (Poshmark-it’s the only one like that I’ve used personally!) I think the only way it is worth your while is if you have high end name brand items. Like Louis Vuitton bags or Jimmy Choo shoes. Items like that!
It is a little insulting to go through all that effort just to get offers that low. It does seem like yard sales are starting to become less and less popular, especially for things like clothes. And you reminded me of something that I was going to bring up in this video and then never did. I was just going to talk about how much your time is worth. Even if I was doing this for free and Heather was only there for three or four days, the amount of money she could have made with one of her other businesses (she has a lot of little side things that she does...no shock for an ADHDer😁) would have been so much more than we made at the yard sale. It's just simply not worth the time. Time is money!
@@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp When my wife died, I kept only a few gowns that she often wore, as mementos. I threw the rest in the trash. The trash can is always an option. Hugs!
This series needs to end up in a giant video so that I can loop it for hours while doing the deep cleaning for the holidays and having guests!😂 Love all the energy❤❤
Commenting to keep your mom off the street! lol! That was a huge job! And I bet you’re glad it’s not your job anymore! Good work! It certainly gives good perspectives for people to keep in mind about leaving a lot to your family, or dealing with a lot that’s left to you.
Love your Mom! I think you should give it one more try and advertise it as an "Estate Sale" - I think you would have sold the bigger items (furniture) and more of the housewares. If that was the intent, that is. At least you got her organized and cleaned up. Take care! 🙂
After watching and listening to you find a place that is sending cloths to North and South Carolina the ones in the mountain need stuff some have nothing just call around to find whos taking stuff to them. Good luck ❤
Amazing before and after shots... I love when your mom is with you... kind of envious... mine has been gone almost 40 years... but still miss her...❤️❤️🫂🫂🙏🙏
That was a huge amount of stuff, clothes, bedding, pillows, etc. Well, sorry the yard sale wasn't great but you and Mom and Heather did much, very much of a try. The home looks ever so much different. She's at least in a more comfortable state. It took me several years to shed away things that belong to my Mom,it can be hard...give it time,I say. People really do gather more stuff than is used ,especially if you have the space. I hope your cruise was a dream come true! Ships aren't my thing. I don't fly anymore either. Solid ground and stability is all I need. Take good care. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!🦃My favorite holiday ,my favorite foods and favorite people, and I'm very thankful for one more year!! Phenomenal job overall! And Heather oh Heather is a darling, such a fun person somebody I would love to have as a friend. Bonnie, you and your mom did a fantastic job. God bless you both for what you do for others paid or otherwise.❤️🙏😎
I remember this live..might have been one of the first times you and I interacted. I remember Mack telling your mom to put down the bong when she was being silly 😂 you ladies have so much fun together...my cheeks would hurt from smiling if I got the honor of hanging out with you❤ I love the energy all 3 of you ladies bring!
Yeah, it was utter chaos! I didn't even put any of the stuff in there that Mack was involved in because I didn't even want to try to explain that in this one. 😄
Yep. I could have saved a lot of time in my ADHD evaluation and just gave this video to the evaluator and told her to watch that 8- or 9-minute segment. No doubt! 😄
Yep. Why I end up laying on the floor in the living room with my cat while the thing I should have taken back to the bedroom is still where it was because I found the cat’s favorite toy under the couch and we tired each other out playing and we’re taking a rest and oh, yeah, hey, that long book of matches by the fireplace really needs to go back in the drawer and the drawer needs a clear out because the holidays are coming and I need to decorate and where did I put that box of cookie cutters? The bedroom closet shelf because it was the only space I had last year so, ok, bye kitty. Get up and go to the bedroom, not grabbing what I was intending to grab from the living room before and take the cookie cutters into the kitchen since they actually belong there but where can I put them? I’ll just clean this drawer out and make room in back. I don’t need all these ladles, I’ll text the kids to see if they need any ladles. Oh, cute, they sent back a cat picture after ten minutes of texting back and forth so I go hunt down my cat to send them pics back. Oh yeah, there’s the thing I wanted to take in the bedroom two hours ago….its exhausting sometimes.
@@cat-mum-Jules I get so mad at myself! Constantly telling myself to FOCUS. But then I’m off on another side quest. I once watched a video that said you would accomplish so much more if you’d just FINISH. Like, finish making the bed before you stop doing it, finishing loading the dirty dishes and turn the machine on, finish vacuuming the room that you started before you go to another room to put away the pair of shoes. Then you’d have a made bed, the dishes going, the livingroom vacuumed. Instead of little bites here and there. And I know all of this. Makes perfect sense. But before I realize it, I’m off in another room doing lord knows what and the 3-4 I started still aren’t done. Frustrating!!!
You are all so full of energy and you work so hard! I think it was totally worth it. You had a great time together and also a good workout. I’m also sorry for the less than optimal profits in the “Huge Sale”. In my opinion it’s time to give away AMAP to halfway houses, and shelters. With the help of friends and cousins, I had a sale done by a professional sale lady. Since that time I’ve given away tons of stuff. It is stressful, but when all the stuff is gone, it’s a great relief. 🖖💙
You should have advised this as a estate sale. If she was planning on giving most away why not charge .25 a item. Or put out bags so folks could fill a bag with clothes for one or two bucks. This is how you get tons of people interested and get rid of things.
That's what I do when I want to get rid of clothes as soon as possible (like before moving). I'm selling it online on sites that are made for that (because we don't have yard sales), and most of it can be bought as a bundle. The only thing that has value are some brands like Zara and similar, and sports brands. Everything else, especially store brand clothing, is possible to sell only in huge bundles. Of course designer clothes have some value too, but I don't have it so I don't know if people would pay much for it 😅
♥♥♥♥♥ Hi Bonnie! What an amazing video! It was wonderful to see your Mother and Heather! I am happy that the sell went as well as it did! I really love Heather's positive words and outlook. Those words and belief are very healing! There were so many BBs! Woot! I had a perma-smile throughout the entire video. I enjoyed how who teased with each episode until the final one. It made it so much more fun. 😸Thank you for you do and all you give. You are such a blessing. It is always a joy to see you, hear your voice, and be blessed by you! God bless you and your family! Lots-o-love and love in Christ, daily in our prayers, ~John. 1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."
Wow. No wonder you had a meltdown. This was a very, very difficult job to do. Seriously. You really needed to recuperate. You are just too nice. Can’t wait for another video of perhaps an easier on you jobs.
I personally am not a fan of putting on yard sales. But, I do believe in organizing your donations to help the recipient agencies. Thank you for sharing the experience and reflecting upon it with honesty.
If youre going thru this, its worth the money to hire an estate sale company. They have experience in what sells, how to stage it, and they get rid of the leftovers at the end, plus people dont haggle at estate sale the way they do at yard salea. They also have netweorks of buyers on their contact list for particular items , so even splitting the proceeds, you make more in the end with less effort on your part. You don't even have to be there, in fact they'd rather you weren't. This yard sale was a lot of effort for not much return, by contrast.
Yes, you should definitely buy your huge baby while they're on sale😂 I love how you think so much like me and say these wild thoughts out loud 😂 I shopped a sale at BabysRUs back in 2011 while trying to conceive, a year before I got pregnant with the twins I bought all girl stuff except for 2 or 3 pieces of boy things. My husband thought I'll was nuts for buying before i got pregnant and knew what I was having, but I couldn't resist a great sale! And I ended up having 2 girls to put the clothes on the next year❤
So much work, and such a difference! Well done ladies 😃 My idea for the clothing: make bundles of 10 leggings with 10 tops and sell them for 10$. The bags that don’t sell- bring them to a high school in a not so well area and gift them to the girls, they should be exactly the age to wear them. And ask if they need anything else, and either they can come and visit Dorothy’s house or you can bring a second load the next day. Even better than donating, because there most of the time things just end in the landfill. And maybe offer to resellers!
Im sure a womens shelter or assisted living residence would love some of those clothes! What a huge undertaking but funny bunch! Don’t fire your mom!!❤️🤣🇨🇦👚👗👕👖🩳🩱👗👞👠👢🧤🧢👒👒👛👜🎒
Love your mom❤. I wonder, after you had that all organized if it would have been easier to have paid someone to do an estate sale. Just a thought. The after shots were great.
I think most people don’t like to buy used clothing. I always just donate clothes. We had a Garage sale. None clothes and made $400 in 2 days. We still just took a car load of stuff to Goodwill.
I used to love yard sales, I looked for books, Christmas ornaments, cooking stuff, never bought clothing. Anything with tags should go to Salvation Army, shelters, etc. I don't know what to say about all this stuff.
*Kicking String* A game invented in 2024 by Utah resident _Heather_ with contributions from _Bonnie's_ _Mom_ The game has since become hugely popular with sleep deprived yard sale hosts.
I don't watch Mack anymore, I don't know why, may be because he left his wife, losing himself after being famous and all, or because he annoys me with his moose, or because he doesn't clean the way he used to clean. But I'm proud of you because you respect yourself and customers pay you for your work. I mean, Clutterbug and Dana charge people money too. Good for you, Bonnie

It is stressful, but when all the stuff is gone, it’s a great relief. 🖖💙
It's all good. It was still so much fun for me. Other than the long drive up there and back each time, this was one of my favorite jobs ever. ❤️😊
I luv love LOVE the "seriously, no shady stuff" note 🤣
An excellent Sunday afternoon watch. 😍
Of course designer clothes have some value too, but I don't have it so I don't know if people would pay much for it 😅
Mom should stay!! ❤
hard work
♥♥♥♥♥ Hi Bonnie!
Thank you, as always, John. 😊❤️🙏
Wow. No wonder you had a meltdown. This was a very, very difficult job to do. Seriously. You really needed to recuperate. You are just too nice. Can’t wait for another video of perhaps an easier on you jobs.
Happy Sweet You Are A Conqueror Sunday and Blessings 💐💐❤️❤️ thanks for sharing your super sweet videos 📷📷🩷🩷 Stacey from Virginia 👋🏽👋🏽🪷🪷
WOW that family room. Spectacular work, Heather!!! 😮
...and the others. Posted too soon, lol. Wow wow wow. 😍🤩🫡
I personally am not a fan of putting on yard sales. But, I do believe in organizing your donations to help the recipient agencies. Thank you for sharing the experience and reflecting upon it with honesty.
😊❤
If youre going thru this, its worth the money to hire an estate sale company. They have experience in what sells, how to stage it, and they get rid of the leftovers at the end, plus people dont haggle at estate sale the way they do at yard salea. They also have netweorks of buyers on their contact list for particular items , so even splitting the proceeds, you make more in the end with less effort on your part. You don't even have to be there, in fact they'd rather you weren't. This yard sale was a lot of effort for not much return, by contrast.
Mum is approved 👌 xx
Yes, you should definitely buy your huge baby while they're on sale😂 I love how you think so much like me and say these wild thoughts out loud 😂 I shopped a sale at BabysRUs back in 2011 while trying to conceive, a year before I got pregnant with the twins I bought all girl stuff except for 2 or 3 pieces of boy things. My husband thought I'll was nuts for buying before i got pregnant and knew what I was having, but I couldn't resist a great sale! And I ended up having 2 girls to put the clothes on the next year❤
I think you "manifested" your girls. Nice! 😁❤️ Now, did you hang on to those boy clothes for 4 years later?😉
So much work, and such a difference! Well done ladies 😃
My idea for the clothing: make bundles of 10 leggings with 10 tops and sell them for 10$.
Or ask at goodwill if you can put up signs there, and if people come and buy you donate the money.
How old is Heather? She acts so young, I love people like that! 😊
Hey, you didn't waste time, you just staged the hemmek so well it sold immediately! 😁
It was a pretty fine hemmek. 🙂 😜
Numero uno 😂🤗 so excited to see 💜
K Donna 🤗 I heard you say hammock clearly 😳
👏👏👏👏👏💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you for backing me up.@@wisewomin
@ omgoodness 🤗 my pleasure 💜

🎉
I think most people don’t like to buy used clothing. I always just donate clothes. We had a Garage sale. None clothes and made $400 in 2 days. We still just took a car load of stuff to Goodwill.
I think that's become even more the case since the advent of fast fashion and how cheap brand new clothes have gotten, unfortunately 🫤
😅 Keep your mom ❤
Womens shelter can use cloths and are except furniture, you can sell buy the bag like 2 bucks for a bag full the store bag size
I used to love yard sales, I looked for books, Christmas ornaments, cooking stuff, never bought clothing. Anything with tags should go to Salvation Army, shelters, etc. I don't know what to say about all this stuff.

The game has since become hugely popular with sleep deprived yard sale hosts.
🤣🤣🤣 Oh my gosh, you're the best!
Yay! First! 🎉
Platform tennis shoes?
How about donating to Unicef, and any other company that sends clothes etc. to foreign countries!

Good for you, Bonnie
she could just drop everything off at good will and write it off on taxes as donation
Bonus Lori content! 😍
🐕🐕🐕🐕😊😊😊😊😊
Clothes are hard to sell, people stack them in a pile, no one wants to go through them. Try, fill a bag $5. Lot's of hard/stress work ❤
❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤😊
🇹🇹👋
I would have bought a couple leggings but Ohio is just too far away.
Donate all the clothes and shoes. You can try to sell everything else.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Donate to the poor, Salvation Army, missions, homeless women, 😊
Clothes does not sell! Trust me.
