no one ever explained this to me in such a structured way. Breaking it down with the mannequin, overlap and guidelines makes so much more sense! Now drawing in perspective seems far less daunting. I knew how to get the lines for the perspective but figuring out how my character fits into that perspective has always been a struggle. Now I know how to break it down! Thank you Marc!
For anyone humming and hawing about the ART school, I have been drawing for 12 years off and on, I own at least 50 different how to draw books and courses, If I had found Marc's course, I would of saved a LOT of money. He has information in his classes that you couldn't get anywhere else, tips I've never heard of. For instance, he takes the concept of clothing and folds and breaks it into more than just tension points like other artists do. He turns it into tension points, gravity, and loose points. I can't sing enough praises about his course.
My only problem now is foreshortening but the rest is okay now, thank you for helping me improve my art without practice to hard I just used the method of observation and science.
Hey Mark! I’ve been following you and your creative process for a while and it has really helped my drawing skills grow a ton! I know you are primarily a teacher for your course and youtube. However, I’d love if you posted a few videos of you just drawing something of your own! I think a lot of people would to love to see your creative process in action!
Thank you, SO so much. There’s always been this *one* thing about my art that I’ve felt was missing and it was this. I’m a huge Murata fan and I knew there was something in his work (perspective and foreshortening) that I couldn’t put my finger on and it was really bugging me. I’ll continue practicing this technique, thank you so much for the vid. :-)
*effective perspective* thats fun to say. Thanks for the great video, I hadn't thought of using symmetry lines on the individual forms. Always worth it to watch the full thing. Even if I just learn one completely new tip, the repetition of everything else helps me keep those principles in mind while I'm drawing.
I lost a bet to my friend that I couldn’t recite more than 50 numbers of Pi He now wants me to draw an extremely well done Dio pose by the next 9 months Thanks
Thank you so much Marc 😭😭 I've been struggling with the perspective myself but hope to improve it finally with this vid. Once again a huge thank you, really appreciate your stuff
Hi Mark, i have a video idea, I think an in-depth process video would be a big help. From the ideation of a piece, anatomy block in and rendering would clear up what to do, not skipping over the technical things that come naturally to experienced digital artists but not so to beginners. Do you think you might do a video like that?
Yo nice tut! but I still struggle to know the length of each body part in difficult perspectives such as a man is kicking forward in front view. Can you make another video to explain more about that issue ? Thank you !
Thanx again with another gr8 vid and from some of the comments it seems to be right on time for most who just happen to have needed this exact lesson. 🙇Senpai 🙇
Well I already knew most of it but I did learn a few new things so that was a like well spent :) btw I know how much perspective is important but it's just so time consuming I usually just eyeball it and hope it will look ok lol. Lazy I know but I don't have much free time to practice :(
I watched your videos for so long. Last year for my 40th bday, my husband got me your full uni-level degree course. The more I go through it, the more these videos have meaning. I get excited when I see you draw the muscle lines I would think to draw. And I can predict the lines you soon add in. It's like seeing in color after viewing it all in black&white. Thank you for all this content, and I wish you even greater good fortune.
Looking forward to tryin the ol art school.. just gota wait to pay off some nonsense. Or maybe I just get term 1, eh? Anywho good stuff, keep on keepin on mate :D
Unrelated to the video, but I'm facing certain problems when it comes to combining the many things like lineart, coloring and shading, not necessarily related to perspective, but rather any kind of art. I've seen many cases, myself included especially, in which the lineart doesn't do so well when colors and shading get introduced. I assume that it's got something to do with line thickness and distances between lines, maybe the line colors, i don't really know the many factors coming into play. I've seen cases, where the lineart is straight up deleted once the shading is done, which scares me since i rely so much on it. My lineart is already not so good by itself (needs lots of practice), and it would be good to know how to best adjust the before mentioned three "phases" to get decent results, when lineart alone doesn't hold up. (Unless i practice wrong?) If it makes sense, something very good to know would be to choose the line thickness in terms of technical measurements, like the very pixels. How are good sizes to choose for the canvas? How thick should the lineart be, relative to the canvas? And how do i best determine the color ranges, perhaps by saturation and brightness, for my desired image, without needing to constantly readjust certain colors?
Thank you i am a begginer on poses and i rlly dont draw the full oc since i am trying to learn the poses first so this helped a lot since i only draw poses from pinterest now i can try to draw my own poses thank you may god bless you new sub btw
i don't know how to do that thing he does in 8:45 with the straight lines ... can someone explain me how to projecting a straight line but changing directions? ( not the SHIFT command to make a straight line from one point to another )
Can you do a video on how to connect the shoulders to the arms, and better arms? Because I’m having so much trouble with it and I don’t get, I’m starting to get frustrated and just want to quit…
Marc braunt I like your uploads so much and I like you personally I want to have a request for the clothes please i can't still don't know how to make the clothes reacts in perspective or in movement I hope you make a video about it soon please
I wish he elaborated on how to constuct the boxed guidelines at the end, everytime i draw the boxes they dont seem right.. idk if theres a way to measure the specific spacing from each box to the next or what
Your classes are so helpful man thank you. Eventually I hope to pay for your course because just by watching these you've helped me improve so much and helped me understand just what I've been doing that's holding me back and making my art just look "wrong". Especially when it comes to proportions. I greatly appreciate the time you take to teach us.
i say this completely ernestly, this tutorial is legitimately one of the most useful figure perspective guides ive seen. yes its quick, but my god its so rich in content, the most important stuff too. i think i might save up for the art course after all.
Without spewing my baggage on the internet, I have recently decided to fully embrace art following failure in my previous venture. (It's okay, I learned a ton.) I am already a proud student of your class. I knew as soon as I saw you (following two days of searching) that you had the proper knowledge to teach. RUclips is such a treacherous place to get information, and I just needed to fill in the fairly big gaps on the fundamentals I never got. You offer everything I seek, and I thank you for offering your considerable knowledge to the public.
its weird how every time im struggling with a specific art issue marc always makes an upload that saves my life-
You must be extremely pessimistic or struggling with every single thing
@@jdg1251what makes you say that?
@@jdg1251 chill dude they were probably weren't being literal
Same
ikr? that's how you know he's the real deal 🙌
Marc is ur hand kissed by a god?
How does Marc always seem to make everything make complete sense?! 😮😮

Marc is such a huge inspiration to me!!!!He helped me get the basic of anatomy.. Still struggling though😂😂 Great sense of humor
I was practicing bodies perspective perfect timing :D

4:30, I was like "are they gonna hold hands?" that's so cute
You the goat
And now when I'm struggling with perspective, Marc comes with a Syringe to inject the basics on my head as always. Thanks Marc 👌
I can’t believe I’m this early 🥹🥂
I already said this, and I’ll say it again, *_A Marc brunet video a day, keeps the bad art away_*
let’s SKETCH into it!
Feel like this'll also be a nice assignment to add to Term 2 of your Art School 😎👍
My only problem now is foreshortening but the rest is okay now, thank you for helping me improve my art without practice to hard I just used the method of observation and science.
04:32 cute 😭

i dont know why but the little heart that you added between those two models made me really happy
I was looking for this comment
EXACTLY the art tutorial I needed for the piece I'm working on!! Teacher Marc knows how and when to save lives, thank you!!!
I still cant draw character in perspective like pov of an ant or sm1 just short
I just realised he drew panties on the buff guy. Even has the little bow tie on it. lol
Thank you, SO so much. There’s always been this *one* thing about my art that I’ve felt was missing and it was this.

Give this man an award for reading all our minds and seeing what our problems are-
*effective perspective*

" I do that all pros do that..."
Kim jung gi: NOOBS 😂
I lost a bet to my friend that I couldn’t recite more than 50 numbers of Pi
He now wants me to draw an extremely well done Dio pose by the next 9 months
Thanks
ordinary people can memorize between 10 and 20 digits of pi, you lost the war without even attending it
Could you do a class drawing figures using the peanut method?
04:03 this tip is soo good, i thought why drawing underwear all the time looked soo off. A tip that should be mentioned more often
1:21 Chapter 1
4:57 Chapter 2
8:30 Chapter 3
Just what I needed! and on time as well. THANKS MARC ❤
Thank you so much Marc 😭😭 I've been struggling with the perspective myself but hope to improve it finally with this vid. Once again a huge thank you, really appreciate your stuff
You did for me in 10 minutes what my art school teachers couldn't do over 2 semesters
Thank u, this helping me 🙏
EXCELLENT INSIGHTS AND TIPS. Love it! Thank you so much Marc.
Does mark do a portrait?
your sideways thumbnail sketch perspective tool is one I created myself, too! it also works with lighting!
Now I need to go back because I don’t have a good way of constructing characters, thanks tho Mark, thanks to you I know what to do :))

This class was actually really helpful for me! Lots of good ideas I hadn’t seen before. Thanks Marc!
no but why is the half mannequin girl built like mewtwo LORD have mercy XDDD
Well I already knew most of it but I did learn a few new things so that was a like well spent :)

I only give your videos likes because it feels like stealing if I don't. Every business should be compensated for their efforts.
Looking forward to tryin the ol art school.. just gota wait to pay off some nonsense. Or maybe I just get term 1, eh? Anywho good stuff, keep on keepin on mate :D
I wish I had your or similar sketches to put into a PureRef library to more easily study.

But how do you draw 2 characters with different body types interacting in perspective?
Reeeeeaaaaally helpful, I‘ve been struggling with this for forever now 🙏
Is there a specific chapter in the program detailing how to draw characters in perspective? Which chapter?
Great video anyway!
OMG thanks I needed this soo much

marc pls make a video on how to stop just copying the drawings, and draw by your own self
6:44 pov: You are look at Katakuri/Doflamingo/Whitebeard :D
I wish he elaborated on how to constuct the boxed guidelines at the end, everytime i draw the boxes they dont seem right.. idk if theres a way to measure the specific spacing from each box to the next or what
that one part that all the overlapping surfaces/lines will have a curve that face the same direction is actually really good to know. Thanks!

It's like you read my mind and decided to post right when I was having difficulty with body perspective o.o
It's amazing! I can be dump sometimes 😅and I've always had a hard time with drawing human body in the container. Thank you so much for the video ❤
Idk how, but whenever I have problems on something, Marc just makes a video for the exact same problem I get myself to.
