When she was 10, Nicola Benedetti's teacher had her work intensively on these 2 exercises for months to solidify her left hand technique. One of the key differences between the top players and the rest of us is that they work harder and smarter on the basics.

My problem is that my pinky is so short that I have to turn my wrist, otherwise I have to really turn my wrist in the starting position. Ahh
