    On the subject of Hawks, I gotta say, it's super interesting that his dad, who was probably charged with domestic abuse, got arrested by another domestic abuser. It really goes to show how hypocritical hero society can be.
    As for Endeavor, as much as this sucks for him, I can't say he didn't have this coming. Like, of course he’s gonna start crying now once everything starts to catch up to him.

Plus she immediately tried to help Shoto after what happened, unlike Enji who took several years to even consider how awful he was.

    The Endeavour depression arc is in full swing.
    Gotta love how so much of the fandom sees Tomura and Toya as good even though they have caused way more damge that was done to either of them but people will exuse any action they make just cause they where beat as kids even though they both have probably caused thousands of deaths. At the same time Kotaro who at worst slapped his son twice is seen as a irredemable dude and Endeavour get a lot of hate and probably even more than actual murderers.
    Like you can like the villains more but if you pretend that they are in any way better morally then you are unironicaly more deluded than a yeagerist and tahts saying somthing.

    • @aggeroff
      @aggeroff 9 месяцев назад +5

      I don't think most of those who pity Tomura and Toya see them as good, its more so they feel more like fictional characters with how extreme their crimes are, so much so they are hard to see as realistic. Also most of the people killed by them were villains or were killed casually and not focused on, which isn't an excuse but for fictional characters it will make the crimes have less impact for a casual reader. Kotaro and Endeavour's sins are more realistic, and to some people it's likely they have experienced or seen similar abuse in real life. Its also likely the abuse they experienced or saw is more extreme, and the real life abusers are worse people, so they will equate Kotaro and Endeavour to real horrible people and will have a hard time separating the real people from the fictional characters.

    • @magnuscarlsson9969
      @magnuscarlsson9969 9 месяцев назад +8

      It have to do with being able to relate... Domestic abuse is a very real thing, even more so when compared to super human society. If these abused kids didn't have quirks, i doubt their crimes would be this extreme especially considering the quirk factor effect on peoples emotional well being. At most they would be troubled teenagers, probably apprehended by the police many times with a chance to be rehabilitated into society.

    • @natsuotodoroki
      @natsuotodoroki 9 месяцев назад +13

      I think the reason why I’m personally more sympathetic towards the villains is that they were never given a proper chance to change. Like, Touya and Tomura are NOT better than Endeavor by any means, but I sympathize with them more on some level since Endeavor’s been given multiple chances to change and hasn’t made much of an effort until recently. Plus that effort pretty much stops at this moment, so it’s more or less where I stopped rooting for Endeavor entirely, but I’m getting ahead of myself. 😅

      Yeah, a lot of the time people act like Rei never did anything wrong when she’s the one who burned his face and used her quirk to accidentally make it worse. But of course people are just going to find a way to twist it to say that it’s completely Enji’s fault, which is something that they do A LOT. Like, he’s done some bad things, but you can’t seriously hold him accountable for every single action the people around him do. There’s a point where it has nothing to do with who’s a victim or who’s an abuser, and is just people doing terrible things.

    For a while I was pissed at Hawks beyond belief. I thought what happened to him was comeuppance for killing Twice. I thought he an his bosses were one and the same.
    But here he earned my forgiveness. It because of his abusive origin, for that he earned my sympathy, his righteous heart at that age eared my respect; but it wasn’t until he reflected and regretted upon himself that I forgave him. That he honestly took no pleasure or blind devotion in killing twice, and acknowledges his weakness in doing so. It’s not a matter of just saying “I was wrong,” it’s acknowledging it and promising to be better.
    Plus his b--h of an “organization” (the architect of this and MANY other outcomes) he was working for is dead so there’s even more room for forgiveness.
    ----------
    Also, one of the other good things that regretfully came out of this tragedy is that people are finally starting to defend themselves instead or relying upon another. But this way isn’t what I meant. Their abilities and powers should be explored and expressed so that they can protect themselves and those around them. But the fact that the old society basically restrained them so much was unhealthy and detrimental. It was doomed to fail, despite being so close. 🤦🏾‍♂️ At best you’ll get someone like Gental, at worst you’ll get someone like Stain.
    At the same time they shouldn’t be so hard on the real heroes who stayed and are alive. The people weren’t there fighting, and they don’t have any answers as well. Being angry is one thing and understandable but needlessly blaming others is moronic.
