Had the same set. Quality and price was great. Functionality was terrible. I owned it for 9 months. I used the multiple settings nozzle for daily use (watering the flowers routine). If you think the thumb tigger is tough at the beginning/after first buying it, wait till you are 4-5 months in. By the 8th month it was unusable because the thumb trigger require the force of 4 fingers to open and close it. Im a fit person and work with tools. There is no way to alleviate this. I added WD-40 and it only helped for 2 days. Goes back to being rigid and nearly impossible to open. Turns out this is a common issue. Costco accepted the return.
Excellent glad I could help. I think that this is a pretty good nozzle although it is a little Steph to turn on the water but a good price at Costco. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for making this video. I was trying to get the nozzle to work and could not figure out how to get the thing to the up position. Frustration quickly setting in as I felt like a dummy. You saved my nice morning 😘
@@TomLeeman once you showed it I was able to click it up the first time. I would have had to wait until my daughter got home from work and I would have stewed on it all day. Being a senior now it upsets me to have trouble with things that were a nothing when I was younger. So I wasn’t just blowing smoke up your “a..” I really meant that you saved my morning and frustration.💋
Thanks so much for this video! I couldn't figure out how to shut the water off. I called the Orbit company and they never got back to me. I called Costco Concierge and they told there was no shut-off feature. I was about to return it to Costco when I decided to check Utube. Great how you pointed out the lever was difficult to move. Now I have a great nozzle--thanks to you! BTW I paid $13.69 at Costco yesterday!
Now you see why it was 6 bucks. I bought an orbit brand, same thumb control sprayer a couple of years ago. Same as you, thought the thumb control is cool. After about a month, it took an act of Congress, to push the control lever forward or back. I was just trying it out today and the control is still stiff as, ,----. Ridiculous. When I saw your video, I had to laugh, when it took basically two thumbs, to push it up. AND THATS BRAND NEW! Thats why, 6 bucks. They have a wearhouse full and gotta sell um. Before giving them away as a door prize. 😂 Thanks for the video.
I got that from Costco a couple years ago, really liked it, but the thumb control is so still it takes 2 hands to move it :( Just bought new ones - 13.95Cdn on sale, still a better price than other store tho!
@@TomLeeman I sprayed the outside with WD40, then took apart and applied a lube to the ball valve type mechanism inside, now it moves easier, but may need an o-ring as it leaks now when turned off. And the o-ring is a shaped one, so probably not able to be bought off the shelf - so tired of throw-away equipment!
Bought an Orbit Nozzle with Turret Wand from Costco, which lasted for two years before starting to leak this year. Unfortunately, I encountered difficulty in opening the rotor, so I had to break it open. To my disappointment, the plastic rotor was constructed as a single, non-disassemblable piece, making it impossible to replace on my own. Despite it being a small plastic part, I had to discard the entire product. I cannot recommend this type of product due to its lack of replaceability and potential for wastefulness.
Had to take the nozzle off to water my neighbors plants while they were gone. So glad I found this video! I finally know how to turn the water on lol!
Glad I could help!

Do the wind chimes help keep birds pooping on the yard away?
That’s a good question I don’t know if they do or not I don’t have any in the yard but we do have Cardinals that live in our backyard
Thanks for your video. i couldn't figure out how to turn it on!
You are welcome! Enjoy your new garden hose nozzle
One of mine leaks water and the other don't shut off, only got one summer out of them
I have two of them and they’re still working fairly well
Thumb lever too difficult to move on/off. Stay away!
Yes, that lever is hard to move
Thank gawd you shared this because me and my dad was soooo confused
Glad you got that thing working thanks for watching
I was going to say the same thing, my father and I had no idea how to turn it on😅😅
@@maryetmann9076 I know it’s a different type of nozzle and you got a really push on that thing to get it up and down. Good luck. Thanks for watching.
How do you lube the on off valve
That’s a good question I don’t know if you can because this thing is like one piece you could try putting some silicone on it
merci beaucoup, très utile
You are welcome enjoy the nozzle

So far ours are working pretty good
It’s not steel. It’s pot metal (zinc)
I did not know that. Thanks.
