- The Taliban and ISIS are both Islamist extremist organizations, both with similar interests. Despite both belonging to extreme branches of Islam and seeking to establish authoritarian states that adhere to their versions of Sharia law, both the Taliban and ISIS are two forces that have been in perpetual conflict since 2015. Why have these two extremist forces fought against each other for so long? In what ways are their goals and beliefs different? Well, join us as we investigate exactly why the Taliban and ISIS both hate each other.

Muslim+afghan+pashtun here, you repeated a few lies that have been circulating in the internet. Social media and television aren't banned in the slightest in Afghanistan. There are bans on women's education (unfortunately) but not to the extent that you mentioned. 13 of the 34 provinces allow women to go to school and university, and almost 80% of private institutions allow women's education across the board; from the 1st grade up to masters degrees. Women can travel alone in Afg contradicting the notion that "women are banned from public places". Plus, persecution from the government is at an all time low, much lower than the previous "democracy". All in all, corruption and crimes have been reduced, and harmful drug trades disrupted.
Edit: I am not saying whether they are objectively good or bad; I am just making a comparison, and by comparison they are slightly better than the previous Afghan government.
Edit 2: Nursing students will be allowed into universities in the upcoming semester, and medical students the semester after that. Note that this is only for public universities. Private universities were open to women from the beginning.

At some point there were talks between the Taliban and ISIS basically trying to lay down a cease fire and plan for both their futures together after the Taliban found out about ISIS poaching many of their officers.
Talibans proposed that they both be two emirate states (basically what what Afghanistan is now) ISIS would control Syria and the Taliban would control Afghanistan. Both sides would work together and id imagine form some sort of an aliance.

These extremists islam groups are basically the cults in Islam, similar to Cults in Europe or North America, but they got alotta power.
Then why is it called Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan?
From a historical point of view, an emirate is a political-religious unit smaller than a caliphate.
The Taliban did not have "control" over the entire country by the late 1990s. The Northern Alliance, for example. was still battling the Taliban ( Somewhere between ~10 to 20%, depending on the source and the year in question, of Afghanistan territory was either contested or not in Taliban hands. ). It was Northern Alliance forces that helped make the invasion of 2001 an initial success. The large numbers of foreign ground troops arrived a bit later.
Foreign troops, indigenous personel, equipment, tactics etc. became more effective as the years went by helping (along with previous engagements etc.) to greatly reduce foreign casualties in Afghanistan during the last number of years before withdrawing.
Sunni branch of Islam is not one of the largest, but by far the largest group (~85-90%, depending on the source). The Shia branch is second. There are different schools, factions etc within each branch.
Most Muslims take the Koran literally. It is more a question of interpretation, practice, schools of thought, use or lack of use of supplemental texts (Hadith etc.), history etc that explains the divergent groups and ideas between and within Sunni and Shia.
Etc.
One needs to remember to verify what is being stated.
And still are. The Anti Taliban fronts are doing very well now in Afghanistan and have reclaim a lot of lands but no city yet but they have a strategy for that.
Corrections: 1: The word Taliban comes from tālib, "student" in Arabic. 2: They weren’t simply displaced Afghans that were a part of it but also many numbers of Pakistanis that the US had originally recruited to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. Thus eventually leading to Taliban groups within Pakistan. There are a lot more nuances to this that this video unfortunately was not able to cover.
I love how u informed it all

That means that the "ordinary" Muslims, who you say are not represented by these terrorists, must do mental gymnastics in order to twist the meaning of the Qur'an into NOT being extremely sexist, bigoted and tyrannical.
If these terrorists don't represent most Muslims, it isn't because Islam is a peaceful and democratic worldview. It's because most Muslims don't literally adhere to fundamental Islamic principles. Most islamic countries fears "freedom loving" WEST and thus don't implement the pure version of ilsam. Infact slav;ery was abolished in Saudi Arabia in 1962, most probably under influence of west.
@@greatshimrkarbala6430 huh funny
If you think Christians and the bible are any different then you're sadly mistaken
One defends their homeland, one invades homelands. It aint that hard
Agreed & 1 of them is created by the West...
Didnt know Taliban and ISIS were cannon in SCP universe.
Cancer vs Tumor
World in chaos again
Except some tumors are benign, and extremist groups never are
True😂
The complexity of a house divided against itself.😮
The first Taliban regime didn't control all of Afghanistan. The province of Panjshir was still controlled by the Northern Alliance back then - Panjshir was under NA control even during the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan. They helped the U.S. to dismantle the first regime during the invasion. It is the second Taliban regime that controls all of Afghanistan after it defeated the Northern Alliance in 2021.
Stop lying. The Quran is a peaceful book, when saying a "literal" interpretation, you are implying that the Quran is violent, while it is not.
Beside the political or drama gotta ask you something who do think would win the fight without support with both power at it hight?
One thing of note is that ISIS began as an Al-Qaeda branch in Iraq. Al-Qaeda and the Taliban had been allies at the time of the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan and to an extent they are still allies.
Al-Qaeda in Iraq would be a part of the larger Islamic State founded in, I think, 2006. Though, at this time, they were still technically a chapter of Al-Qaeda.
However, around 2014, the leader at the time, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, declared the Islamic State was now aiming to form a caliphate. This didn't sit right with the leaders of Al-Qaeda, as the caliph would be the highest authority of Sunni Islam, and not them. When he refused to back down, Al-Qaeda declared his movement to be an enemy.
This put the Taliban at odds with ISIS. Technically the two groups had been allies, but now with ISIS going rogue, the Taliban sided with Al-Qaeda and declared ISIS their enemy as well.
Excellent summery ✌🏼
Small correction, us forces ran out of fear from Afghanistan leaving behind billions worth of arms for Taliban. Us lost more personnel and money than soviets. Snake which was grown by us had bitten us very strongly.
It was all secretly planned out by the US in the peace negotiation.
It's The SIMS voices for me 😂
It's simple, nobody like competition.
They hate each other because nobody can tell the difference between them💀
I can tell the difference
Anyone who can read is able to.
06:34. No the US just pulled out of Afghanistan, leaving without the Afghan security forces in any kind of state to be able to resist the Taliban. Also abandoning the sitting government, and civilians to their fate. Without the US the UK had no option but to also withdraw in chaos. It was basically a catastrophe for Afghan women, and the majority of civilians and any of the people who helped US and UK forces, in any capacity. Just saying "they made an agreement" is very disingenuous.
I'm a huge fan of Sufi myself. All about winning people with poetry, beauty, and humanity. You can win with a different way.
Sufi are seen as heretics
In my opinion, I do not see the Taliban as being described as a completely extremist regime, because in previous years after the fall of the Soviet Union, gangs, militias, and mafias occupied Afghanistan, and the Taliban only intimidated the presence of these militias and gangs, and this is what made them able to control Afghanistan, but with their very strict rule, it happened that they attacked America excused what was stated in the statement that it was to stop this extremism and that it must be governed in a way that is compatible with the views of the United Nations. A disagreement occurred and then it settled by negotiating with the Taliban by withdrawing its forces and leaving the rule to the Taliban with less extremist sovereignty and openness, even if only a little, despite the embargo that besieged Afghanistan economically, with the goal of Destabilizing the people, but so far the people are satisfied with the rule of the Taliban, and also after Pakistan expelled the Afghans outside the borders of its territory, and the Taliban are not comfortable with this, especially the disputes on the borders between Afghanistan and Pakistan, and the opinions of Pakistani women about Afghanistan, especially in the previous strict Taliban rule, and about previous ideas about women not having the right to work. And freedom of expression, but what about the expulsion of Afghan refugees from Pakistan, the effects of war and hunger, and the current tension in relations?
Gorbachev pulled the Soviet Union out.
The difference? One fight the empire and succeed. The other is the said empires's poodle.
Too complicated. Thanks for the comments
Isis is not from Muslim 😂 its American undercover move
