Ms. Phyllis: I miss your humour! You found delight even on a day that was more " rocks" than "diamonds." I bet you and Mr. Bucky are bringing joy and humour to those in heaven. RIP & I miss you like a deat friend.
Oh, Phyllis!! I did NOT know where this story was going, but when you pulled out that plier/wrench/thingey, and I saw your face, I laughed until my stomach hurt!! By golly, you are now prepared to show just how car-smart you are. If this is what you call a "failed" trip, I have to say, please consider it one of your triumphs. I loved it. I've done the same thing with my Stanley measuring tape (metal, retractable) when getting dollhouse lumber. When I pull out the tape, then retract it without cutting off a finger, the sales guys take a step back, then stay outta my way. Not to make fun of men, but it sure helps me to feel adequate when I do that. Hang onto those tools, girl. You're VERY impressive with your massive "tool box". Hugs to you, Mr. Bucky and the pups. Praying for your good health. :0) Donna B.
Lol, Phylis, its late and I am laughing..... sooo funny. Tools???? Lol. So sorry for your " failed" trip to the farmers market BUT you wouldn't have had this story to tell or these memories and hey, now you have "tools"🤣🤣🤣 I LOVE it and you too Phyllis. GOD bless you❤
Hi, Miss Phyllis and just seeing this video 4 years after. So funny and entertaining. I don't have tools in my trunk, either, but I think I'm going to put a few together and put them into a bag and keep them in the trunk, just in case. You never know.
Oh Phyllis. I love your stories. Tools are what I do have but I swear my husband sees them and takes them. Then when I need them they aren’t there. I ain’t cooking nothing. Classic. I feel the same way sometimes but I so enjoy you and mr. Bucky. You are lovely. Take care.
I had a real good giggle over this! Reminds me of a true story from 'Reader's Digest'; 'A little boy was asked by a parent to bring a screwdriver and he asked,"A daddy screwdriver or a mommy screwdriver?" Being curious, the parent replied, "The mommy?" So the little boy returns with a butter knife!
You really gave me a good laugh today. I really enjoy your stories and I usually tell them to my husband and my sister. I know it wasn't a funny situation it's just how you tell it. You're a really good story teller.
Having car trouble when away from home is never fun. Happy to hear that this Southern gentleman gave a helping hand, even though you did not have the 'tools" on hand. We women are just happy to have a functioning vehicle, and even happier when the gas Gage shows FULL. haha
Darling Phyllis, I never got to view these early videos. Oh how you made me laugh as my day was rocks too. I do miss you and hope and pray you will be back with us soon . Everyone misses you so much and I just tear up when I think of darling Mr Buckey. I do so hope you have the strength to pull through. I had Sepsis in March April. Only 4 out of 10 survive and I really didn’t care at the time I was so ill. I am left in pretty bad shape. Lost all the nerves in my feet and my husband has Alzheimer’s and cancer and I ring him every day but his conversation is so upsetting. He will tell me at least 2 or 3 times how many people are sitting watching tv. With him and he can’t remember I can’t walk . He tries so hard to be interesting and he comes home every 2 weeks for a visit but he can’t remember it the next time we speak. I am at home with meal help so lucky. But it is hard to make life worth living. You are such a help. xxxx
Oh I'm sorry they had no bananas but that story about tools 😂😂😂😂😂 I love you. You remind me so much of my grammie you bring me back to my childhood and the food you cook I can even smell it sometimes thank you for having your channel ❤
Loved the story. There are days like that for sure. You can start the day out wonderful and its going along really good and then your balloon can get deflated just in a wink of an eye. Kinda messes the whole day up.
You certainly do deserve a break from cooking, so glad you decided to take it. And glad you got your car going also. I carry tools and other things pertaining to the car, so good idea..enjoyed your video.
You're a natural-born storyteller, Phyllis. I lol'd when you showed your "tool" bag. God bless the good Samaritans who are willing to help strangers, huh?
I watched this video today and laughed too. I think I had a "just rock" day today. Man, did it fit! I guess "diamond" days are really rare. But you certainly described it all so well. "We're having sandwiches!" So glad I watched this today of all days! Love your cooking videos, but some days just you or Mr. Bucky talking is just right!
LOL. I've been watching vids of Phyllis that I hadn't seen before bc I'm so sick of the news and what's going on in our country. This was a great vid. I've been asked if I have tools and I know I get a deer in the headlight look. LOL.
Hi Phyllis....this was a goid story about the tools haha made me laugh especially when you couldnt hold back. Now here is a little tip for you, if ever ever your post os lose on your battery and you do not have any tools, stick a penny in there as much as possible. That works. My dad is a mechanic and he showed me this trick and trust me it has come in handy. But I just live your stories. Hugs Liz
Miss Phyllis I have been watching you for some time. I love you shows and feel like you are a true friend. God Bless you and Mr Bucky. Peggy in Worthington Ohio
Hello dear Ms. Phyllis. I know for you it was a rock day. But the way you told your story I am still laughing. Your story is so cute. I bet you, you have tools in your bag now!!! Have a blessed day. GOD BLESS YOU, MR. BUCKY AND YOUR LOVED ONES. Greetings from Hamburg, Getmany
He needed a bolt wrench for the repair...You probably said, "Oh Yes, of course! Let me just look here in my handbag, I know it's in here somewhere!" LOLOLOL
That's a great story, and your purse is cute, but it is shaped like a little tool bag! You're such a lady. It's hilarious that he asked if you had your tools! 😊 I actually have two at home, but I guess I better make one for the car!
That’s so funny.. it reminded me of when my husband was living we worked together and he constantly was bringing tools in the house in his pockets..of course I’d find them when I would wash clothes and checked his pockets.. I’d put the tools in my purse which was large, so I’d get them back to our truck the next day..my purse would be loaded with tools and if he couldn’t find something in the tool pouch he’d check my purse and there they were!
I was so worried about you and think of you often a wonderful lady got an update from your church so glad to hear your doing well you are one of Earths Angels and if more people lived by your values this world would be a better place my prayers are with you God bless your inner and outer beauty shines like the brightest ⭐️
That was a great story. I will certainly be putting tools in my trunk. I have been driving for about 20 years. Not once have I had to go looking for tools. LoL You have a very nice bag don't let anybody tell you differently. It's always nice to know you can look back and laugh. Frozen celery huh? I can't wait.
Hello Miss Phyllis, I love your stories they are always interesting. I think I'm gonna get me some tools for my car, thank you for sharing your story because from it you gave me a good idea for the tools. It's always handy to have in a pinch and to be prepared for the unexpected! Take care :)
Listen, this may not have been a failed trip. That same thing happened to me after taking my Mercedes into the dealer. A few days later it was dead, wouldn't start at all after work. Towed it to the dealership, they said it was an electrical problem that my warranty wouldn't cover, it was going to cost almost 1,500 to fix. I got a "strange vibe" and told them I wanted to have it towed home because I wanted my usual mechanic to work on it. They actually argued with me and told me if someone else worked on it (other than a dealer) it would cost me twice the amount. By then I just called a tow truck on my own (they were steaming mad). My husband was agitated with me at first for towing it home, he was going to try to jump it off his car and bring it back. Then he realized the cable was loose. The car never gave me a problem after he fixed that. Also... There is a little net in back of my car (it's an SUV) that holds in cargo. I had used it about a month before bringing my quilts into the laundry before winter. It's on a it stretches out with a hook that attaches to the other side. It was missing. I cannot prove they took it; but, I doubt someone would break into my car and steal that. It costs $500 to replace from Mercedes (of course I didn't - it's not that important). I just lost a lot of trust after that.
Hun, get your butt to Walmart or any such store, and get your self a small 'tool kit' made for good folks such as your self, and it SHOULD have a set of screwdrivers, a crescent wrench, maybe a small socket wrench with common sized sockets. Oh, and that wrench you showed is actually a pretty good one, so make sure to get a box that you can add it in. There are a variety of different sets of tool boxes, but remember you do not require one that can handle ANY situation... get a small one, and be sure to throw in a roll of duct tape that will fit in there. And ALWAYS carry that 'kit' with you. One really good thing for you to do would be to just 'google' something like, "What would be a good first-time tool box for me to carry around in my car, something not too big?"
LMBO. I am still laughing Phyllis. . It's days like this that when you sit down and think about them you just bust out laughing. My husband locked his keys in his truck a few years ago and he was the only one home and couldn't for the life of him get the truck unlocked, after 2 hours of trying he takes the back window of the truck off. He gets it off as I am pulling up with another set of keys. When I saw him standing there holding the window I just about fell down I was laughing so hard.
If you ever want to write a book of stories or recipes, Miss Phyllis, I am volunteering to edit it for you right now! (Proofing copy for things like sentence structure, syntax, and punctuation is one of my talents!) And I agree, your stories just need telling!
Great story !! I don't have tools . A rock day is nothing works. You got 25% of your list and a man helped you with your car and you got home safe. If a diamond is a perfect day and a rock is a totally failed day, I'd say you had an opal day . not a diamond, but not a rock either.

We would go to the farmer's market, bring them home and can them in jars. We did soup,Spaghetti sauce, peas, tomatoes or anything else you like. You can buy a book on how to do this. So good and good for you.
I love your stories especially this one. Actually, there are bags that hold tools so perhaps the man that helped you might have thought your pocketbook was one of those. I'm glad he was able to help you. In this video or the one before it, I was surprised to hear you say you didn’t really like to cook. You seem to as you prepare your meals.

Phyllis, buy a different purse, it looks like the kind of bags A/C men carry around, look if your out and about and think of it,also engineer's carry them...They do sell tools in a little plastic box it does it's job I think it even has a little flash light, Norhern Freight is been building up, You might have one in your area, alot of good stuff you just got to watch what you buy, alot of names are Yankee, like Chicago tools, been around when I was young don't know how they work now??? But I like it bought my Mom a purse like yours, when she worked in AK. So she could carry on what she needed a book tooth brush ect...it's a all purpose bag...hers was tan...
😳LOL Phyllis your purse looks something like my tool bag I have that I got free somewhere. Mine is black and but they do have them your color of your purse but more tan. And with all the stuff in your purse it probably did look like a tool bag to him haha.!! Anyway glad you put some tools in there for your next trip if you may need one, that's pretty smart thinking some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed huh ?love you❤
I'm so sorry! I like your take on it though. I'm going to use that,"some days are diamonds and some days are just rocks." It is 3:30am here and already I have the day of rocks. Yep, at 3:30 in the morning.
I know that you aren't here to read this but thanks for the laugh, Mrs. Phyllis! I'm an older single lady and I always have tools in the trunk of my car and I know how to use them (sort of)!
old video I see, and yes I have tools :) Little hammer, big hammer if the tire won't come off, screwdrivers, wrench like you have, tire pressure gauge, jumper cables and misc other tools LOL
One of my favorite videos. I'm going to miss Ms Phyllis. ❤🙏
Ms. Phyllis: I miss your humour! You found delight even on a day that was more " rocks" than "diamonds." I bet you and Mr. Bucky are bringing joy and humour to those in heaven. RIP & I miss you like a deat friend.

All I can say is ...’love your hysterical stories”!!! Love your personality 🥰

You really gave me a good laugh today. I really enjoy your stories and I usually tell them to my husband and my sister. I know it wasn't a funny situation it's just how you tell it. You're a really good story teller.
This made me laugh out loud. I only discovered the site a couple weeks ago. I only wish I had found it much sooner, it brings me so much comfort.
OMGoodness!! A pocket full of rocks day for sure Miss. Phylis! But actually...a good tool time laugh! Gratitude!
Having car trouble when away from home is never fun. Happy to hear that this Southern gentleman gave a helping hand, even though you did not have the 'tools" on hand. We women are just happy to have a functioning vehicle, and even happier when the gas Gage shows FULL. haha
Deb from Idaho You crack me up!!!!! Miss Phyllis, you are so special to me!!
Hilarious story....😄😄. The old standby tool Swiss Army knife! Lots of tools in a tiny package..

This was a while ago but it is soo funny!! What a great story!!
Wow what a day! Glad you got home ok ❤️
Phyllis I enjoyed this video very much. We have all been there at one time or another.
You could say the string of unusual happenings was like a scene from Twilight Zone! Yeah, after all that, I'd say sandwiches was smart! Haha
Oh my goodness🤣🤣🤣🤣🤓🤓🤓you have got to write a book of stories!!!❤️
If you ever want to write a book of stories or recipes, Miss Phyllis, I am volunteering to edit it for you right now! (Proofing copy for things like sentence structure, syntax, and punctuation is one of my talents!)

I know this wasn't a good day for you. But I have to admit I've got a good laugh out of it. You're a good cook and a good story teller.
Great story !! I don't have tools . A rock day is nothing works. You got 25% of your list and a man helped you with your car and you got home safe. If a diamond is a perfect day and a rock is a totally failed day, I'd say you had an opal day . not a diamond, but not a rock either.

You can make a facepack from bananas, yoghurt, cinnamon powder and ground almonds { all organic ] add a few drops of lemon juice --- keeps a few days in the fridge. ! Its good to know you have farmers markets where you live.

I'm sorry, that made me laugh so hard. I could really relate.
I'm so sorry! I like your take on it though. I'm going to use that,"some days are diamonds and some days are just rocks." It is 3:30am here and already I have the day of rocks. Yep, at 3:30 in the morning.
