you should do a build swap challenge with james; he builds the exterior and you furnish the interior. i was also thinking since lately you have been obsessed with using cc you should build a house with ONLY using cc. btw love you and your videos🤍🤍
That would be fun. No adding CC after starting so if you don't have it in CC they don't have it like say a dishwasher or whatever (Chances of that seem slim)
@@noitsbecky.4291 Having a good eye for things that match helps but it really comes down to logical budget thinking and what a room needs and how much you can Spend per item and if the item matters and if the room needs it.
@@simsforever791 but that isn’t what the commenter is talking about. They are saying she has a good eye for making things still look cute, not making a room functional.
I really like that you did this challenge again, but i would have liked to see the money you had, like if you had moved your face cam to the other side. But the house turned out really good!
Stunning as always!! I know “homely” in the UK and Aus means “cozy”, but in the US it means “ugly” and I will forever be confused for a second when Deli calls the room homely 😂
The mint bathtub and counters! 😍 another fun challenge is randomising 3 colours + a budget for each room (close to 0 as possible) Btw good luck with the move 💚
I love delis mindset while building this; It’s family friendly.[Makes a one bedroom house] it’s family friendly. [Puts down a white rug.] it’s family friendly. [Puts a vase and knitting utensils at child level] I love the non-realism realism of this game.
This house turned out so cute! But yeah I feel like it was a tad bit easy. Maybe go down with the numbers a little bit. Like between 250 and 10k? That would make you have to budget way more and make things more interesting ☺️ Nonetheless, a beautiful home, as per usual!
It's such a great build. I always struggle with clutter and my ocd brain does not usually allow feature walls, but I might keep trying it. Your house when you and James move is going to look chefs kiss
Like that build! Very cosy and homely indeed. Yet, I agree with you that the challenge this time was a little too easy. I think the original idea (the spinning wheel) was good, if you put some reasonable amounts on it (e.g. min 2000 simoleons). And no transfering the budget from one room to another would make it more fun in my opinion 👍
i think that for the next challenge you should use the leftover founds to decorate the exterior of the house! for plants or some recreational activities that would be cool and challenging
I dont like the idea of being ableto save the money into another room. Takes it away from the challenge Cause decorating a room to max your budget is a challenge. Really enjoyed the The 80K Kitchen before and was dissapointed u didnt even push it with th 7K dining room
I think this one was meant to be more of a "realistic" version than the previous one. If you had a set budget irl and had some left over, some people would allot that to other projects around the house. But I get what you mean, for the game's purposes!
I love the mint green bathroom! Especially the bathtub reminds me of one of the houses I lived in as a kid. My parents had a thing for coloured bathrooms. One house had a red spa bath, another mint green bathtub and a salmon coloured bath…
I love that you said where everything came from, it's really helpful to know what pack (or cc) an item is from so if you really like it you know where to get it :)
Instead of a random number generator it might be better to do a spin -the-wheel thing. Because then you could get varied results i.e. one option could be 500 , while another 15k. If you use a random number generator you will most likely get results around the middle (around 10,250). This could explain why the "challenge" wasn't so challenging for you! With spin-the-wheel you don't get a middle number like that so it eliminates the problem i think. Also, maybe try not adding the leftover simoleons to other rooms!
You should try a build where you have to randomly roll for the 'hero item' of each room so like randomly roll what bed goes in the room, what counter goes in the kitchen, what sofa in the living room. It could make you use some items you don't normally and should produce a fun overall house 😜
First of all, I love this house. Super cute! Secondly, that bathroom reminded me of two apartments we had lived in when I was a kid. One had a pink bathtub, sink, and toilet then when we moved we ended up with a baby blue sink, tub, and toilet. 😂😂
You should randomise the style (mid century modern, contemporary, industrial, eclectic, rustic etc), the family size (eg single, couple, small family, large family), and the budget for the interior. House could be as big as is necessary for the family size though. That would all be a real challenge I think.
Deli, you should do a series where you create different households and houses all based on a different colour every time. For example, if you create a red family, you have to create an all red home to put them in!
This build is so close to my personal taste its amazing... I hope to have a real house like this some day... I just love a cozy, friendly environment to live in
These challenges really remind of the TV show The Block tbh. Always thought it could be a cool idea to colab with other Sims creators in a challenge/series like that.
I think all leftover money should go to decorating the yard. Also it would be cool to have like a skill room where based on the budget you can see what type of hobbies the sim has. Do the skill room first to tell you what type of sim you have and create a style for how to decorate the rest of the house around that. A cool idea you could do for a future video is use the random number generator to do a budget and every room has to use the same budget including outside space. Outdoor budget would include wallpaper for outside of house, any outdoor greenery, creating of front porch or deck, outdoor activities, etc. For this challenge I would say all money has to be used for each room as there are $1 items.
"Let's make this a nice, bright, family-friendly home." Instantly puts in dark grey walls that make the space look darker and A WHITE RUG UNDER THE DINING TABLE. Never change, Deli. never change.😂
That’s just the Sims, tho - I love being able to dress my toddlers in white, and know that even if they throw food everywhere their clothes will remain spotless. It’s really funny even though it’s unrealistic. It’s kind of great.
I think it would be cool to have a total budget for the whole house, say $50,000, and then randomize between say $500 - $10,000 for each room, but then subtract whatever you end up with from your total amount for the house. That way there's another element of challenge in trying to work around the decreasing remaining budget. So if you got 7000 for the first spin, you'd only have 43,000 for the rest of the house and by the end you might only have a few hundred for the final room or something. Idk exactly how it would work but that could maybe be a cool variation on this idea since people seem to really like seeing you continue to do it!
Maybe do a surprise build for James to see how well you know James taste, and James does the same for you. 😍 or maybe do a budget build with only 1 or 2 packs. 😁
That was a lovely challenge to look at! But I couldn't help but shiver whenever things like toilet paper, paintings, or towels were hugh *so low* on the wall 'x'
This house feels like it’s owned by someone who either lives in a random part of Canada that’s not Ontario, Winnipeg, or Toronto or they live in the northern west coast but not in Portland or Seattle and they are huge fans of F.r.i.e.n.d.s the TV show. One of them had a dream of being a visual or digital artist but now teaches at the local school. The other parent is a stay at home parent that is really devoted to causes but as long as they’re not inconvenient. They are nosy but well-meaning neighbors. I like them.
Lovely home 🏡 so cozy.. love it and amazing video... Maybe at the hallway you can build a other floor... For the toddler had a proper room, maybe a proper office and a room full of activities ❤️

Do it again but at the start you have to pick a room that will only be furnished by all the leftover money from the other rooms! I would also change the max room budget to 10/15k to make it harder 😜
I feel like the random number generator has too much of a chance to go really high; and the problem before was that there was like a 50% chance to be under $2k. I think a combination of the two challenges you've done around this might work -- maybe keeping the low end at $500, and select a chunk of numbers for "lower $" rooms (like $500, $800, $1200?), a chunk of numbers for "medium $" rooms ($2000, $4000, $5000ish) and a chunk for "many $" rooms ($10000, $15000, $30000?) -- these are obviously just pulled from nowhere and I think adding a few extra values might be useful, but that's the general idea!
You should try the same challenge again but you have to build walls/paint the outside with it too. I think it will be much harder. I think since you're building walls the minimum should be $1,000-$20,000.
I think you had a better idea the first time, with the set amounts you could draw from, I like the variety that forces. 🙂 even though you set some of the budgets... too low... 😅 This house is all cute.
You should do a 30 minute build challenge but you and James switch out building every few minutes! 🥰🙂
I agree, I miss when they collaborated more! I used to love when they would both do a build and switch and do the interior.
