Always loved that there was lots of great miniramp skating in this. Julio's two lines on the indoor ramp were so smooth, using both shoulders, and I feel like that went under the radar at the time. Love the handflip on the vertwall, kept his line going so well, I love when people can smoothly tie in non-grind tricks in miniramp lines. And of course Latimer on that bare-ply AZ ramp is just iconic.
the ultra long pause after you read PRN and then bringing up what it stood for was HILARIOUS hahahaha i feel like not enough people remember that moment in skating 🤣🤣
Thanks again guys, these are great so please keep them going. We didn't really have acces to a lot of videos growing up. The closest skateshop that might have some videos in stock was in Amsterdam about a 2,5 hour drive or train ride away and ordering online wasn't really a thing yet back then, so a lot of these videos are new to me. The local bookstore stoped stocking dailybread around this time too so we were pretty in the dark on what was going on with skating. Having you guys share your thoughts and giving a bit of context make the viewing a lot better as we were so far removed from the industry/culture at this point in time
I love these commentaries so much. I've watched all of them, the one thing i have to say is id love if you did some current videos or sections, edits, etc. I'd love to hear your observations and thoughts on stuff currently happening in skating.
You know it’s funny because y’all thought you were following a trend but tht trend was saying your open for business to all the dudes for some bum boppin
It's wild when your small town not known for anything blading related and to your knowledge wasn't good for street skating... was a paradise apparently to Sizemore. 2 decades ago. (I've met plenty of bladers in that town through eras though. I meet bladers everywhere)
Still have the vhs in clamshell case sitting in my wood-grained vhs caddy. There was so much hype around this video, even for us on the east coast. I'd say equal amounts hype, beige cargo khakis, and sneaker tongue 5th element puff.
At 27.7 min you see louie zamora grinding in a midi ramp i was there amazing that that is in a video i met my first girlfriend their amazing ❤you guys this is the best

MY FAVORITE SERIES IS BACK BBY
Thanks for the kind words fellaz 🙏🏻
Dave Temple is more of a concept and a way of life, than a person.
Solid commentary. Definitely a classic in its own right. Some of the best.
Dave Temple was from Kansas City. Co-founded Vibralux. Got Joe Navran on the come up. Pretty important dude for being a mystery.
😂
Dave Temple isn't quite mysterious. Hahaha
Wtf. Home improvement hair. Lolx100. That will forever be referenced from this day forward. Thank you.
Thanks for bringing these back! On a sick day from work but can still have some enjoyment, what feels like chillin with the homies.
“Just an athletic boy-man, with great hair”
some really good quotes in this one.
"Shima WOULD be good at stealing briefcases..."
the ultra long pause after you read PRN and then bringing up what it stood for was HILARIOUS hahahaha i feel like not enough people remember that moment in skating 🤣🤣
Also beanie in the back pocket hahahahaha almost forgot that along with that random moment people were doing comb tricks
Yeah! Thanks guys, I enjoyed this one, really appreciated the comments on how influential this video (and era) was to BRAINGOD
Love so much that the commentaries are back
Thank you for bringing this content to us 💜

I'd wear a mushroom blading lanyard absolutely. 🍄🍄🍄🍄
I really enjoy these sk8 vids and dose of nostalgia, thank you :0)

@@NOIS_inks Ahh shit! You really got me with that one!!
"It is a bonus." Todd and Joey Zen knowledge bombs.
14:50 anyone else ever have their old schools pop up in videos?

YES! THE FELLAS BACK EXCITED ABOUT PANTS!
Legendary DL, Julio and petty sections💜
Love you guys 🫶🏻
"I'm not a fan of backwards hat Shima" ... "I'm not a fan of safety grabs" lol ... I was rolling laughing

I wanted the white/black fifth's so bad.
@@stuco Same here, but after seeing the ridiculous blisters my friends were getting with them, I kept my K2's until the CI-5's dropped : )
Latimer’s section though. Damn!
Josh Petty made frontsides cool again in the late 90s. Honorable mentions to Feinberg and Matt Andrews.
The next one would be cool if it was live streamed and we could all join in.
Watch night of the string.
The end where yall turned into dopamine fried style snobs talking about "nothing gets me juiced anymore" XD
@@Habeev07 there’s really good stuff out there just have to dig harder and not fry the dopamine.
For the record, this came out in ‘98, not ‘99.
Also, I’d love for you guys to do Saltless Water. Underrated gem from ‘98.
You DID do this already. Or at least the first bit of the intro with the suits. Maybe it was an ad in another video.
@@toasty862 there wasn’t anything in the archives so maybe that was another channel?
I skated Oxygens. They were heavy as shiiiiit. But if you liked big gaps and rough ledges they were awesome. Super stable skate.
My current aesthetic is based on this video lol
Mad slacks yo
27:40 Sweaty as fuck! 💎☠️🤌🏽
Hell yes. Let’s go
Oh hell yeah!
There will be videos like this off of recent videos?
What did they say?
