Disgraceful, why can't these hospitals just do the best thing for the people under their care, if a caesarean section is needed then it is needed, it's a medical procedure not something to be ashamed of an something to be discouraged.
I experienced a grievous medical incident 12 years ago which ruined my life. Everyone lied to cover for the doctor and nurse who did it and i didnt get an ounce of justice. We have a massive problem with medical omerta in the NHS. Whether it be due to in-group loyalty or fear of being bullied by other staff, people in the NHS wont admit when another staff member has done something which caused harm.
The real crime is that this was not carried out by some amorphous ethereal being. It was people, someone, a committee, the Head of the Department, the Head of the Trust that did this. They/he/she will walk away scot-free receive their salary then pension while the poor people who were harmed will carry their burden forever. NAME & SHAME
God almighty, I am so sick and tired of her slacking off the American health-care system. I can tell you as an American RN. That we have one of the finest Healthcare Systems in the world. Now, it's not perfect, but it's right up in the top five. And I can tell you that no one who comes off the street will ever be denied service. We don't leave people bleeding in the street because they can't afford to pay. The people who can't afford long term care, they go immediately on Medicare or Medicaid. Or sometimes even both. Nobody gets denied Health Care Service. And there are very few people now who are actually having to lose/sell their house to pay their healthcare bills. That's very rare nowadays. Those stories happened about 30+ years ago or longer. 👎
Every human being has the same human rights. Human rights law means that public organisations like hospitals must treat you with dignity and respect. They must consult you about decisions and follow your choices. Every health professional who cares for you must respect your human rights in all the care they give.
My wife is due in a few months and we are forced to go to Telford. It doesn’t look like we have any alternatives. Anyone know of a way we can get delivery done elsewhere if we live in Shropshire?
@@danielschauffer8216 have you considered home birth? If she’s having baby at home, she would need to have a very experienced midwife, and in case anything even might go wrong, she would be transferred to hospital for cesarean section, because with home birth, they can’t gamble. There are many advantages of home birth, like less stress for a mother, which would speed up the labor, also, it’s healthier for the baby, as she will be introduced to home bacterias, which are superior to hospital ones. Also, midwife would bring a pool in case mother wants water birth, gas and air, and diamorphine is also available. After birth, midwife stays with family for extra 4 hours ( or more if needed), she cleans house and helps with breastfeeding. I had my first one in midwife led unit, and planned my second one at home, but couldn’t as I was high risk. But I do have many friends that had home birth and they all had far better experience having baby at home, then women who had theirs in hospital. This might be a good alternative if you are interested
Wow. I had a cesarean birth. Turns out my son was a big baby, 9 1/2 lb, with a large head (99%) at birth. I'm a petite woman. Without a cesarean both of us could have died.

They cover for each other. It's a closed shop.
The NHS is a disgrace. Why in earth do the Brits put up with that crap.
They harvest the babies organs too.
20 years of knowing what they were doing. Nothing is lower than NHS management
Not clapping now are we...
Its murder
Murder? Yes, agreed 100% - plain, simple and utterly horrifying.
If this was a private hospital, they would be prosecuting.
Total incompetence I'm just happy no Trans "women" were affected.
I’m currently suing the NHS. Wish me luck

Keep banging those pots and pans everyone.
The nhs has many wonderful elements but they don't take criticism well
I feel physically sick hearing this for the first time.

I think a Tik Tok video by this NHS Trust should make everything fine.

Is it your first child? Is it low risk pregnancy? How far is another close hospital from you?
@@saraandstuartshannon2160 First child, low risk, Telford is like 50 mins from us and there is no hospital closer to us as we live near Minsterley.

Wow, the NHS is being criticised for a change as opposed to the usual worshipping. Maybe they're losing their Teflon touch. Gawd bless the NHS...
