- AirPod's have a problem, they're unrepairable to a degree that can severely harm the environment, they also have a lightning port when they could have a more universal USB - C. In this video we solve both of those.

If there was a company that sold earbuds with repairability in mind, having easy access to the internals and parts available for consumers like batteries and drivers, they would have my money all the way
I wonder if it is possible without them

Actually to a point samsung buds are fairly easy to repair
@@filthyklownzssb4589 as you saw, everything except the housing was fairly easy to disassemble. Instead of using glue Apple could have used screws and seals to get to a simliar result with more repairability... But yeah it's Apple
Prob very few people buy it. And it will be expensive like framework laptop and fairphone. i think samsung buds are repairable.

If you are making it a kit i think it will be better to make a mould and the new case should be plastic injected for more durability and color matching from the start

Hey! Don't know if you will see this but it isn't fully safe to use tools like that with gloves. It's a common misconception but with tools like that it can make things worse because if it does hit your hand and catches the fabric and it will be hard to remove and your injury will be worse. Atleast without the glove you will get injuried but it wont get caught on your skin and you will not be pulled in more as a result and might be able to get away with just some bandages. Just looking out for your safety.

This is a very interesting repair/mod. But I would probably 3D print the new housing on a resin printer for smoother quality, as the FDM print just doesn’t fit in with the aesthetics of the AirPods in my opinion. But since I got my first pair of AirPods like a week ago, there is no need for tinkering, at least for now…
The ones sent over were SLA (resin) printed, however there was an issue with the dimensions causing them to crack. They have since been updated.

Hey man, if you’re ever working with 3d printed parts use a soldering iron. The tip doesnt get ruined and you can relevel surfaces and soften it up
How do you like that syle glove? I use Kevlar ones till the grip eventually falls off or they get too greasy. Even saved my hands from many sketchy grinder incidents.

Hey PRG! I was wondering, what would happen if you out an iPhone 13 Pro screen onto an iPhone 14 Pro and vice Versa? I assume it simply wouldn’t display anything but if it did, I wonder how each phone would react.

I saw that one of your screws weren’t magnetic anymore. Here’s a trick, take a normal magnet (refrigerator magnet or something) and just turn the poles inside the iron of the screwdriver (run the magnet down the side of the screwdriver a few times)
Boom, then your screwdriver is magnetic once again :) I do that all the time when I’m fixing iPhones etc

With the rear camera on the pro iPhones getting bigger and bigger, they will eventually cut into the magsafe area on the back of the phone causing magsafe to stop working. What do you think Apple will do about it?

I would definitely buy that mod cable. I have 3 sets of airpods that are dead. (1 I killed in the wash and 2 were from someone else) and all they need is batteries.
