I'm not part of Delta Squadron, officially. However, I do live in their home station (Asprin Orbital in Bugayaman) and I can confirm that they are incredibly nice but are extremely space hungry.
On the various Elite Facebook groups I follow I always give a recommendation to new players to make a bucket list of things to do in Elite and then as you finish items on your list and learn more about the game add new items to the list. This is the best way to play open ended games with no 'I win the game' conditions. Going to Beagle Point is a bit big though. One of the engineers requires you to travel 5000 light years from your starting system. You can get elite exploration on that trip if you FSS every system.
I will say as a new player it is hard to find stuff to do and I’ve had to do research to play the game, because the game doesn’t push you in any direction and if you want to know what’s going on you really have to dig. That’s both good and bad, it makes for an extremely open ended and player defined game, however it’s harder to have a story that feels interactive like this, not impossible, as I’m sure I’ll find when I do more quests beyond just some federation stuff and bounty hunting that I’ve started with, I already got a vulture, I have to turn my docking computer off to save on power when I fight lol. I play with a friend and between the two of us we can actually make a lot of credits. Pretty soon I’m actually planning on getting an exploration vehicle and switching gears on my game play and figuring out what this engineering stuff people talk about is and looking for points of interest.
Supercruise tip: head directly at your target at full throttle, when the ETA counter reaches 0:06 seconds throttle down to the midpoint of the blue. The ship will slow down perfectly every time, if done correctly. If you want until 5 seconds you will overshoot, 7 seconds takes too long. 6 seconds is perfect. I do this every time and never have issues.
Adding your goals (and reasons for them) to the video description would be awesome. Kind of helps new(ish) players with the "what's next?" question. Thanks!
How I played. Get 1 bil with mining unlock jameson. Then I did engineering. I unlocked half of them and then decided to get guardian fsd. then I did some experimenting and bounty hunting. then decided I want a corvette and now running courier missions. I'm about 2 weeks into the game. Next is to get the rest of the engineers, get more guardian tech like gauss and fighters. Get a chieftain and try out the frag cannons and special weapons and figure out a good build by myself.

Spatula geese. Another great video man. In regards to NPCs knowing that you have cargo before they pull you out of supercruise and scan you. I think that's a npc cheat. We should have a module that detects if someone has Cargo in super cruise. That way we don't end up pulling a commander or a NPC that is loaded down with limpets water or poop.
Managed to get the permit by dropping data in your recommended system but had to go to Barann to get the permit offer as whole system was appropriately controlled there. Wonder if Delta Squadron is a Babylon 5 reference?

You can get the Isinor permit even though Delta seem to have control everywhere. Just do missions for Isinor Chapter and you'll get the rep. It does take a lot longer though

If you''re going to overrun, angle-off until the clock stops ticking down and then turn back to target. When I'm bringing my A-game I come in at 0:05, phoning it in starts at 0:07 and gets slowly better with practice.
My desktop PC died a few months back after an innocent windows update managed to completed destroy it beyond even a factor reboot could fix. So as of late I've just been using a gaming laptop called the "Predator." And I upgraded the hard drives as high as I could. That's pretty much it.
Betancourt Base - Musca Dark Region PJ-P b6-1 has 3x payouts on exploration data until i think the 24th so you only need to scan around 80 water/earth like worlds to reach elite
@@FaethorFerenzcy someone went there 5 hours ago and got the normal amount, I heard last night they patched it out, as it was a “mistake” and I have seen on YT that the payout was in line with your rank. I heard quite a few people say no 3x payout ☹️
I haven't really noticed the supposed temporary boost to exploration data compensation. I'm in the next to last exploration rank and 18 million of data didn't even move it a %.
Hey, great vids. Just wanna say you can see the gravity of a planet on your hud too when in orbital flight, in case you forget to check it from the map. If you decide to try to find Raxxla on Playstation I'd love to join you on an adventure.
@@SepulcherGeist it actually is more accurate than the map. The map only shows the highest on the planet. On the HUD it shows what you're currently feeling. You can always tell when it's gonna be a high G world because you start to feel about 80-90% of the gravity typically just inside orbital cruise (hence why those bombs falling down in Star Wars actually was phsyics accurate). If you see it over 1G when you enter orbital cruise you're gonna need to prep for a High G landing. If it's much lower then you're good. Trust your HUD over the map every time.

I'm curious. What's the jump range on your Asp? I went to Colonia in mine (35.8 before any engineering at all) and it wasn't really that bad. I have a new account and am getting ready to run to either Colonia or possibly Beagle Point in my shiny new DB Explorer (49.9). More range - less fuel scoop. Otherwise pretty much the same experience.

Its a Conda, not a python! Its painted with VANTA black. Looks cool, but has serious heat management issues, because of the paint. The reason why its only available at Hutton.

No, that got fixed in the Wednesday patch. You do get the money, but not the 3x "experience."
