There is nothing like ruining a perfectly good working truck before you build it back up. Teardown and stretch is done. Almost ready for the pretty parts.
Looking good. That dry road slippery road switch was an early form of ABS brake system. It unfortunately didn’t work as well in real life as they thought it would. So it was eliminated. The technology wasn’t there back then but it came later on and that’s how we’ve got today’s systems that I think work much better. Tell me will switch the front hubs to hub pilot wheels? I imagine that truck has stud pilot wheels on it. Gonna be a sweet ride.
Gonna be a good looking " nickel 9" when it done . If you find s little brown bottle - about 2 1/2" tall x 3/4" wide with a yellow lable saying " Dr. Bell's" . Then you can be SURE "Leslie" did some time dragging a " bull wagon " ( so s friend told me ) ...
I've never seen or heard of a slippery road switch either, great idea though. Ha, ha I doubt those were Dr Bell toothpicks since it only has 425k original miles but you never know 👍
Is it about time you guys come back?I've been waiting for you. I was wondering if you're ever gonna come back onawesome videos need to keep coming back more

That thing is going to look mint! Great work, love the channel !!
I think the dry/slippery road switch shuts off the front brakes rather than limit them.

That thing is going to look great. Nice work. Were the frames the same height and thickness on the low air cutoff?
There was a little difference. The new cutoff was a little bigger. Not terrible though.
Did you guys plate the frame where you weld the two frames together
Yes we did. We put a 10” sleeve in it. From crossmember to crossmember with the weld in the middle of the sleeve.
Out of curiosity, why did you guys not cut the frame in a Z pattern?
They did. Watch the video again.
