My knees can be horrible at times. My son is an athlete, and during covid, he took a 50 lb sand bag wrapped and duck taped it in a tarp. He then gathered it on on end, wrapped a rope around it , left a long end, and hooked a clip hook thingy. The rope would go around my waist, and he had me walk backward with my knees bent slightly, and I had to pull the sand back. I did that for two minutes. Then I had to turn walking forwards, pulling/dragging the sand bag for 2 minutes. Within a month, I was running up and down the stairs and bending with my knees with NO PAIN. He said I had to build the muscles up around my knees.
Pilates is amazing! I started in February, and the changes happened fast. I lift weights/take classes, and increase protein, but I am pretty sure Pilates has made a big difference.

I'll definitely do a future video on the topic and elaborate much more to help you ladies, now that you've mentioned it! But a lot of my "womanly confidence" honestly came from working as an exotic dancer over these last few years. Being in that environment makes you notice a lot about yourself and in order to do well in the club and with that lifestyle, you have to see yourself as sexy and powerful. Defintely had to learn that because it's not something society encourages in us lol. So my club experience, in combination with my education and upbringing, I'd say resulted in me now.

Hey Evette, I loved this video. And your explanation of how you plan your work outs weekly also the details on how many sets and reps you will do depending on the weight you choose. I have been off and on with the weight training, I love doing ZUMBA and Hip Hop Abs, which I have not done in a minute. My health often dictates what I can do. And I found doing weight training is steadier and I have seen results in a shorter period of time. This week I have not exercised as I have been so tired and my body just wants to sleep and take it easy, but I am trying to eat accordingly so as not to lose on what I am trying to do. I love those workout outfits, I would not have wanted to go to the gym either in the clothing that was "too cute" for that, I would have gone on a walk too. Thank you for this so much. I am hoping to get back soon to my weight training. I work out at home. I love it. The first and last time I joined a gym that I was so excited about as I could walk to it from my house as my warmup. I sighed up in March of 2020 and then the pandemic came!! 😝

You have a pool at your gym?? Do you ever use the pool? I taught awua fit during my 15 year career as an aerobics instructor. I highly recommend adding 1-2 days in the pool to cross train. It will also give you a solid option to workout if you injure your knees or ankles.
I am so glad that while you are trying to stay healthy, you are looking for alternatives to have great joints. Trust me, you don't want to be older with terrible joints. Two doctors have told me to be careful with what types of exercising I do as I get older. Also look into things like acupuncture to help with certain ailments.
I’ve stuck to you’re meal plan most of the week last week Friday and Saturday I didn’t stick to it but girl I love the meals I don’t eat shrimp so I substitute it for chicken and it was still amazing that Buddha bowl was chefs kiss week two is next so thanks so much for the amazing meal plan I’ve lost some weight and some inches…..

Have you tried collagen prior to working out? It's good for muscle, joint and tendon elasticity. Especially before you work out because it helps with the repair of the muscle. Also, Love your videos!

Walking backwards on the treadmill, at an incline is great for knee mobility/strengthening. You could try that for your warmup
