To be clear: I think the mouse is fantastic for the price, especially in the US. The issues are not major and the mouse still performs great, but it's far from a perfect mouse in terms of performance!
Did the new update yesterday fixed the problem?
@@randomlit4397 do you have any more info about this?
@@synqFPS not yet
@@randomlit4397 Which update are you referring to? I have this mouse and have been trying to diagnose the source of my issues. I'm on dongle v1.07 and mouse v1.08. I'm able to replicate the polling instability shown in this video at all polling rates.
Do u know if they reapaired this 1khz unstability and do u know is there still this higher delay to first movement?
This is a good video, and recently Lanzu released a new firmware on July 31 to optimize click latency
great video as always top tier straight to the point
What mousepad is that in the first shot
so if i dont buy the 4k dongle i get same og atlantis as before, or just beter switches?
Hopefully they continually improve firmware so it matches up to other 4k mice on the market
I Downloaded the Lamzu OG V2 4k software 4 times. When I launch it it says Atlantis Mini. The software works, let's me change everything but I don't think the it should be saying Atlantis Mini. Can't figure it out
That was my worry coming into these versions.. it's a lot less $ than most 4K mice but if the performance is around 1K mice... That are around $100 anyway... Hard to be excited *I wanted to add: its just not exciting AT THE MOMENT, Lamzu can of course address this and the value per dollar for 4K is insane again. Great work on digging into this for us Haus
+1 - agree 💯
I think there's other innovations I would rather see companies pushed towards.
I would love to see an extreme forward sensor placement right below buttons. Moving the battery backwards to provide a perfect 50/50 weight balance.
I would love to see extreme comfort grooves on the buttons.
And someday there's going to be magnetic hal effect switches similar to what wooting and DrunkDeer 75 and Steelseries use. Imagine doubling the spammability and speed of clicks. Game changing.
@@8020AliveI agree, I think going for minimal improvement with 2ms differences is really a waste of time and effort, since it varies from system to system and at the end of the day, there are a lot of other things that actually make a difference in latency. the main focus should be things that matter, not so much that there is a 1.5ms difference in click latency. all of these graphs and tests seem silly to look at and make a decision to buy the mouse or not. it’s a good mouse overall, 4k is just something that some people can take advantage of but isn’t that important. I think Lamzu just restocking their units is the best outcome of these 4k releases, since you don’t have to look for ebay resellers to get them anymore 😂
There's no way it loses to hts 4k in click latency!!! The hts feels ways worse.. somethings just not right
does anyone know how to pair with 4k dongle? my mouse wont work with it
thanks for the awesome content man
Glad you enjoy it!
Is this 1khz performance is usable ? What would u recomend for 1khz performance atlantis mini or atlantis mini pro?
4:15 I would not say that as a fact. I'm not a fan of the xm1 shape, but love the atlantis for example. The side profile difference is not what makes the biggest difference in terms of actual shape feel. if you look at the mouse from behind and slightly from above the hump and width are more filling on the atlantis plus the extra curves on the sides give also a fuller feel in hand than the xm1. completely different.
It’s mainly the mouse 1&2 shape that I really hate on the xm1
I'm really hoping you drop another video soon with updated results once lamzu pays someone to write decent firmware for the mouse.
does anyone know how to charge it i really dont know
Thank You HausGaming ... I unfortunately cancelled my pre-order for this mouse. I was extremely hyped (FOMO). But I can rest assured that I can hold off on it until it gets resolved.
It still sucks. Don’t get it twisted
@@ASquishyDucky damn, i was LITERALLY about to order one too LMAO
Works after weeks of tinkering
I got the lamzu mini and the v2 pro but I just can't tell the difference when it come to 1k vs 4k i perform the same on all my fps games with both mouse so imma probably stick with the og lamzu mini
People say you can notice at least at 240hz,mine is comingo so hope they are right
@@RobiLemos10what happend to the battery life in 4k I have the Atlantis mini but in 40
Min my battery less to 80 to 70% it’s normal ?
Very comprehensive analysis, would you consider also reviewing the 4k implementation/latency of the Darmoshark M3-4K that was released recently?
I'll definitely be checking it out!
very curious to see the click latency tests of the finalmouse ULX 8k
Shocking! Still waiting for your in depth review of the stormbreaker😊
What software did you use to test the SPI timing? I wanna compare my model with yours.
I would like to see the results of your testing 😁
the tests are done on w10/11?? polling rate is known to have issues on windows since forever. Last w11 update supposedly fixed them
The polling results are measured and judged comparatively, meaning I judge stable polling by what I measure with RAZER 4K.
Could that little delay and inconsistency at 1k be due to at default 1k coming with LP mode activated? And it's kinda hidden in the software but you can change to hp (which I think means low power and high power?) I contacted them and they sent me a graphic saying everything in their end shows ok
Nope, I ended up testing with HP!
banger vid as always, glad midsommar
So worth buying then or not if you already got a mini v1? I was going to get the 4k mini v2 and not even bothered about using it on 4k and was going to stick with 1k but if it isn’t even good at that then why bother? Was going to switch between the mice at charging sessions so it was more wanting to use the v2 improvement model more than anything. Shame for lamzu they usually put out good stuff.
Anyone got a release date please?
Great video
Could you make a video if the mouse problems are solved with firmware updates? I was wondering if I should buy the mouse or not. A little late Happy Midsummer.
50g wireless xm1 with 4k polling count me in
Hey Haus, what mice would you recommend over the Lamzu V2 Pro? My system and monitor can’t make use of 4K, so I guess the best 1k in your opinion
He shows an incredible option in the video. Endgame gear. Optical switches that will last longer and prevent double clicking, better build quality, and improved polling stability.
Amazon had it on sale with free shipping for 79 bucks so it even works out to be cheaper than Lamzu. Black or White colors
@@8020Alive thank you for the response! I’ll check it out
Hyvää juhannusta!🎉
should motion sync always be used?
Optimum PC has videos on its usage
how does it compare To VGN F1 pro for exmaple with 4khz dongle?
They actually tweeted about the dongle situation and which version includes the 4K dongle so for the ultra informed people it is actually not unclear which version has the 4K dongle (I realize this is the absolute minority, but it is still nice to know they explained it on Twitter).
Hey. Could you maybe compare mouse shapes next time to the GPX superlight?
Rtings has both of them up, same shape as the original
Is that or Razer Viper V2 Pro ? Which one is better? Nearly same prices and i cant decide.
happy midsummer brother!
Hey Haus, been looking at the Atlantis mini since I've been finding the front half of the XE W slightly too wide/bulky. Do you think it would be a good choice to try. Or is it not similar in shape at all.
It's not similar at all to the XE imo! Very far from it, there aren't really many mice which have a similar shape to the XE, but in a smaller form.
@@hausgaming Ahhh damn, such a shame. Thank you for replying. I'm trying hard to find something noticeably similar but thinner feeling. Rough times.
Hyvää juhannusta!
I really want Lamzu to fix the latency issue.
should i cop or not? the elegant blue colorway is so sick
@@synqFPS I can only tell you that I have ordered the elegant blue one myself a few days ago. :D
@@Mojo_DK i did too man fuck couldnt resist its so pretty and has the improved coating
what do you prefer ec1 shape or deathadder v3 shape?
Is it better to go for this or cheaper XM2we? I was also considering Pulsar X2.
Endgame 🎉
would love to see you on warmupserver some day :D
RUHE
I play on BrutalCS :D
I don’t understand what peak performance does and what time I should have it set to
Hyvää juhannusta
GOAT reviewer saving us money once more!
I have one question, which mouse has better overall sensor performance Pulsar X2 mini or Lamzu Atlantis mini. Im talking about 1khz performance
Both are mid - according to RTINGS
Hyvää Juhannusta
How can you tell if your system can handle 4k polling? Is it just cpu performance? I have a 5800x, will i be good?
should be fine.
I run an undervolted 5800x with the htx 4k in overwatch capped at 300 fps with no issues
Cool thanks
Is the motion delay tested with motion sync enabled?
Yes! Can't get reliable resutls without MS because of the SPI timing jitter
@@hausgaming I see, thanks for the reply!
I bought a OG v2 pro that is compatible with 4k so it doesn't come with the dongle and they sell it separately now, Imma buy it once it works lol. Review came in clutch, thanks!
To be fair, it could be related to the 4K dongle just as well, hard to tell as I don't have a standard dongle!
Go get drunk king you deserve it
i might need to upgrade, fuck
Thx. I dound bay this maus
the 4k mini worked fine for me but i just don't feel like it's an upgrade from the regular mini. anyways did i see a pwnage stormbreaker during the video? i'd love to see you review it
You got yours already its been a week since i ordered mine
@@jonathanmoreira8930 that sucks hope you’ll get yours soon
Would be nice to revisit this when it’s not using the compx firmware. Seems some what redundant to measure performance when the firmware isn’t tailored for the new processor so can’t take advantage of it. Perhaps this video should serve as a criticism for releasing a mouse before firmware was ready but to Atlantis credit they have been speedy with software in the past etc. Good review regardless
Fair point. Is there word that they will release new firmware for these v2 4k versions?
It will always be using CompX firmware, it's the solution provider here and the firmware is tailored for the new MCU.
Tough. I was looking forward to get one due to the Nordic MCU even though I'd still run it at 1khz. RIP the dream.
Is there problem setting to 0ms?
slamclick
@@piaKnow Slam clicks can happen even at higher settings, though there are more likely to happen the lower the debounce setting is! But there are solid ways to fight that, for example lift off detection!
Can you try on ps5
i wanted to buy it :( now i am not so sure
I know your rig is probably nuts and moot for the issue, but what kind of frame drops are you experiencing with Lamzu's 4k dongle? I can't run CS:GO or Quake Live without insane amounts of stuttering/frame drops. CS:GO dips to less than 100 while Quake Live dips around 100 which is nuts considering the age of the game. RJN has footage of him playing at 8000hz so it's not a game engine issue to my knowledge.
Aorus Elite x570 / 5900x / 6800xt / 32GB DDR4 / Win10. Swinging the mouse around on my desktop with task manager open only pushes CPU usage up ~5% or so. No clue what could be causing this besides faulty dongle hardware.
If it’s any consolation I upgraded from a 3070 to 6800xt a year and a half ago and it was right dogshit, stutter central in every game I played.
Hate to say it man but AMD drivers and software are crap and I’ll never give them another shot, I’d been Intel/Nvidia for years before I took a punt on the 6800xt and that turned me right off.
I’ve since owned 3080’s, 3090’s, 4080’s and 4090’s and never had issues.
@@Funktapuss76 6800xt is fine my brotha. Only issue I've had so far is that I have to re-import my performance profile (overclock settings, fan profile, etc.) whenever I update the drivers. Runs stable and cool for every game I throw at it and is a perfectly reasonable choice since I don't care for ray tracing technology. Can't go wrong considering the price to performance ratio.
The issue stems from the 5900x CPU (or possibly Gen 5 chipsets) as noted by a Reddit thread that recently came up. Lamzu has confirmed the issue and is consulting with their engineering team to push a fix out hopefully soon.
Are you using something like Outplayed, Insights Capture, Medal, OBS or DIscord Overlay?
I was having similar issues with similar specs and I narrowed it down - and the overwolf support confirmed this to me - that these Overlay-type-of-apps have insane issues with 4k Hz and they are aware of it and working on a fix but they can't give an ETA on when it will release.
Turning any kind of these programs off also immediately killed my stutters.
Great review, but not a fan of the graph noises when entering and exiting view.
I agree. No need for them, might save him a few minutes here and there not adding them
Almost bought one. Hard pass now.
Exceptional review Haus.
Thank you bro! To be clear I still think the mouse is fantastic for the price, but it's definitely far from perfect!
@@hausgaming - we know. A "hard pass" is just me personally - but they will likely get firmware sorted and the shape is loved by many. Have a great week HAUS!
at least the lamzu is alot faster than the v1 version, yet still disappointing compared to razer, I wonder if the og v2 pro and v2 mini pro both have the same latency issues going on with the clicks or if the switch the optical and zippy vs the blueshell dot implementation has something to do with this.
The only reason why I pick lamzu over any other mices is because of the amazing shape for us claw players. It it just perfect 🤩
You should definitely try XM2we too
Could not get used to the mouse i sold it
"I don't believe a mouse can make you a better player"
and while that is true, I have had significant and enormous kovaaks improvements from within minutes of trying a new mouse. its rare, and of course the mouse didn't 'make me better' but what I do believe is that it put me in a much more favorable position to take advantage of my tools versus a lesser mouse. of course 1ms of click latency isn't gonig to magically make me win every gunfight, but I believe its a bit more nuanced than "the mouse doens't matter, its all you"
Smibble
The click latencys were higher than razer but the tracking stability were better in 4k. That affect your spray control in fps game. So hard to able to spray control with razer. But easier to do that with lamzu
I literally just bought the mini x.x I'm kms
If you bought the mini pro you can just buy the $15 dongle and it’s pretty much the same mouse
its not like those issues are gonna affect u in game xd
the graphs in the video are somewhat misleading, making it look like a big difference when it’s a 1.5ms difference in click latency. there are several other factors that affect latency on a greater level, and the lamzu mini is still a really good mouse for its cost
@@Aviator842 yeah I don't even know how to check. It just says lamzu mini on the order page so
@@mail6560 What do you mean by misleading? It's hard data vs hard data :).
4K LOL honestly get a grip - no pun. I, quite literally, use 500hz. Thanks for a rock solid review. OK saying all that fair play to Lamzu for at least somewhat better pricing than the other comedians
20K subs honestly what a total fkn joke - your content is worthy of 10 fold that
500 🤢
Thanks for bro!
I got the Atlantis Mini 1K , won't spend 100$ for get 4K its non-sense imo
wow, im kinda dissapointed ngl, espected this to be one of the better releases of the year
Just a little bit drunk? Shame on you! 😄
I have a question. What is the point of buying a 4k mouse if you are using a 144hz monitor ? Would you even notice any difference ? I dont feel like 4k is useful at all unless u have everything else. 360hz monitor / crazy good cpu and gpu / good internet low ping / wooting kyeboard ect ect. And also why would any1 want something that drains the battery like nothing else ?
Idk i was using the deathadder v3 wired in 4k on my 144hz monitor and the difference from 1k to 4k was quite noticable for me so me personally i would call bs on needinf 4k hz to notice the difference
The difference in tracking/feel is still there despite the visual difference not being present. Some people just prefer the enhanced precision and tailor their rigs towards peripherals that provide that level of precision. And battery life is negligible, it's not that hard to plug in your mouse while not gaming. Unless you're pulling off hardcore caffeine/adderall-laced marathon sessions without breaks (pro-tip, don't do that), "excess battery drain" is seldom the actual case unless you're irresponsible. Aim for 2k if you're really that lazy and enjoy a middle-ground.
First
auto like. didnt even watch yet but you already know.
I aint buying chinese. Ever.
WIRED BETTER PLEASE THIS MOUSE WIRED FOREVER. Wireless mice emit too much ELECTROMAGNETIC, DANGEROUS AND CARCINOGENIC RADIATION
just got my dragonfly f1 with 4k hz and its freaking amazing for its price
