Looks hot… quick question though what adaptors did u use ..got a link ? and did u use them on front and back. I see that on the front u can swap the hub s didn’t know which way y’all went and are u happy with the adaptors
Thank you! @carloz11290 We went with 245/45 front, 255/45 on the back for a subtle big/little. The ride is also amazing, we’ve lowered a bunch of these trucks, this one is by far the best yet. Favorite look, stance, and ride. If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to ask and thank you for watching!
that looks great. I'm hoping to pick an 84 d150 up soon as well. so by the looks you guys only cut about an 1/8th of the coil off to get the 12 5/8"height?
@user-hs4vf8mx4x for these wheels we just needed spacers on the rear only, did 1” to kick them out, the wheels would fit no problem since we milled them out to fit, but we wanted to push the wheels out for this look. We bought them off EBay. I’d just look for the bolt pattern you are wanting (we used 5.5 by 5.5.)
What size tire did you end up running on the wheel? And where did you find the bushing for the control arm?? lol my local hardware store sucks I guess. Anyways, looks great!
And here are the spacers for the rear but mind u I have a 84 and below with the 5 3/4 lug pattern so I had to buy the adaptor that was a 1 inch spacer …. Wheel Adapters 5 Lug 4.5" To 5 Lug 5.5" Spacers 5x4.5/5x5.5 1"
Did you have problems getting an alignment after the swap? Lookin at a sweet grandpa d150 swb and wanna lower it but ive heard they dont wanna line up right afterwards and wear tires
@bluef2501989 depends on who you have align it, but the shop we had do it had no problems. Probably 5000+ miles on the truck now, no weird tire wear. They were able to align as though it is a stock truck.
@moparhotrodshop nice!!! I was a little worried I was gonna have to spend a lot of $$$ on special upper arms to get the alignment right. Thank you and keep Killin it!!!!
@@moparhotrodshop awesome, I will be doing the same to the rear on mine, the front is done the same as yours already, rear currently has hangers and shackles, not low enough though
@enjoythesho1992 they will come out, but the bolt generally seizes inside the bushing and it doesn’t want to come out There’s no benefit to taking the springs down, you can take the drums off and swap the axle from below the leaf springs to above to lower the truck.

An 8 3/4 rear out of a 68-70 B-body will give you the clearance you need on the wheel lip, but it will make it tight on the inner wheel tub. Not hard to modify there though.
@scottwilliams5196 with the offset of these wheels we are running the spacers we’re the most affordable and best option. Plus it’s hard to find those 8 3/4 housings are getting so expensive and hard to find.

I did the same flip/control arms on my 92. I wish I had cut the coils. I was worried that it may be too much, but in the end, the front sits a lot higher than I'd care for.
