What is a tip you would give a beginner player for increasing their damage?
Don't worry about your DPS until you hit CP160
Practice your rotation and weaving until then.
Get perfect weave addon lol

Don't DPS. Spend your time carebearing like myself. Pickpocketing and NPC throat sliting.
One of the reasons I subscribed and keep coming back to re watch Adam's videos is because he takes the time to cover the How in addition to the What. A lot of people tell you What but can't be bothered to take the time to explain How to do the What they are recommending. Yeah yeah, I know, that sentence is not proper grammar but you all got the point.

Practice parses, dot timers, buff timers, and unlock passives is my advice. Also USE FOOD/DRINKS. Let your healer buff you also :)
💯% true about letting healers buff you. Always try to stand between the boss and the healer to recieve all heals and buffs

i feel this. honestly though on controller it's so annoying bc it's like press y and b for syn but like if it's not exactly on time you just used a skill again, then i end up just la-execute and reapplying dots so i know where im at lol then it's another three syns going XD
just leave the healing orbs for the tank who will need the stamina
I put my spammables on c and execute/aoe spam to move freely while doing damage. I also put swap on right click, bash on q roll on mb4, block on caps, synergy on f and quickslot on ctrl. It really helps a ton to have your most used actions where your fingers rest naturally.

As a new player I found, Mad Tinker set , helps when my block is not great and helps protects my soft Mag Sorcerer, by knocking enemies down, and gives 10k dps
Good tips. Especially on the Divines traits. Hadn't thought about that. I'm hitting about 20k DPS as a new dps. (Main is a tank) so this super helpful when I'm just doing solo play

Some mouses have a clickable mouse wheel you can use to bind swap. Or if you don't have that for the longest time I bound swap to the T key as I rarely if ever used it to toggle through my journal quests.

I've found using a MMO mouse helps as well. I use the numbers on the mouse instead of keyboard. I also run into issues with my ultimate key. R is easy to hit accidently if the keyboard shifts during a fight. I've unintentionally hit R in town (bad for my Necro), before I need to in a Dungeon etc. I moved my swap bar key to tab since I don't use the 'next target' function it's bound to.
Good idea about the mouse. I may do that.
Tab was the standard bound for swap I thought?
I changed the ultimate to my side mouse button, I found myself spam looting and would always make my ultimate go off. "Loot all is R just like ultimate is"
I personally love wearing Crimson and Leeching with Valkyn Skoria for my monster set on my DK Tank I almost never have to buff/heal myself while the mobs around me take dmg constantly in addition to my own dps.
The monster set gives me that much more dps and that’s on my tank mind you. My potions are solely for dmg boosting.
It’s a VERY forgiving setup. Shout out to Hack The Minator for this particular build.
Sorry what does Proc mean?
I use the Z key on pc for bar swapping, and my spammables are always on 1. Basically everything but light attack is on my keyboard lol, even block and bash are one key each on my keyboard.

MMO mouse will help a lot. 12 buttons easily programmable and makes bar swapping easily. Had issues with hitting the numbers and also hit multiple keys at times.
Also Azeron keypad will make your gaming life sooo much easier and not only in ESO, but in every game. Keyboards are old school.
Hey adam, nice tips as always. I`ve been on and off recentely , so I`m trying to catch up with the upcoming patch.
How is this going to impact us? I understand it as a pvp perpective, but it seems pve is suffering colateral damage. How are we going to achieve reaching the damage cap requiered to mantain original values of proc sets? And if we do not reach it, are they strong enough to still use?
As a magicka dps user, I fail to see how are we going to gear up to reach that damage cap requiered and in the meantime have gear slots available to equipping proc sets not losing damage on the process.
I would love to hear your thoughts about it. I`ll leave you one of the patch notes below. And it is not only damage, but also absurd stamina/magikca requirements (38000 and above)
"Sets that use Weapon and Spell Damage now require 6574 of either in order to reach their original values, up from 5478, resulting in approximately a 17% reduction."

im currently trying to decide on a magplar with juli and mother sorrow and currently Ner'nth Helm if there would be any benefit to using fire rune in mage line for the multiple enemy dmg then wall of fire bc most likely they will be burning already so ticks harder. currently running degeneration but trying to look at things and not just follow exact builds everyone might use. but also not skill savy XD Also its a solo magplar build trying to find something to get through and learn arenas to get crushing around cp340 but just started exploring building it for dps was just healing prior.
I've dabbled a few times over the years usually getting to about lvl30 or so. I think the content intended for single player is pretty easy and fun the problem I have starting new again us the immense amount of quest markers with vague descriptions what they're for. So many I have to be careful not to go over the 25? quest limit. Plus, now you start in Morrawind? Good thing I knew about the (vanilla) guilds and faction tutorial areas or I surely would've missed them. Immense amount of instantly available content is great for long time veterans but more confusing than fun for me.
Actually, you start with the latest expansion you bought, so now you start in Greymoor if you own it, or you may also start in Elsweyr, Sommerset, etc.
No matter where you start, you can still play the story chronologically. You just have to go back to the starter city of your alliance, talk to the "hooded figure" and then you get the "Main story".
This should be "fixed" with the Blackwood chapter, you should be asked from the beginning where you want to start the game when you create a new character.
I agree 100% with the quest markers, I was really confused and I wanted to some how turn all of them off until I was ready to start them.
But I quickly got used to what the queat marker symbols meant. And now I don't even notice them and focus on the one I'm actually doing.
If you stick with the game, you will definitely love it.
I have a tendency to spam my Light Attack, and I have to make a conscious effort to remember to slow it down.
Practice your AoE drops: Volley, Spear Shards, Lightning Splash, Caltrops... Those AoEs, you have to place them right, and you have to place them fast. Just from playing with other players, this is the #1 thing that lowers their DPS in dungeons. Not on the Atronach Training Dummy. Parsing is relatively easy because it's 1 target that doesn't move. When you have a Summoner Boss, with Adds, you have to take out as many adds as you can, as quickly as you can. So, you can focus the Boss again, before he Summons again... Rotation is just Muscle Memory, run through it enough times, and you'll get it. Position, and Shot Placement (Especially the clunky AoEs, including a lot of Ultimates) is what separates the Skilled from the Build.
Spriggan's Thorns is the equivalent set to A Mother's Sorry in Medium/Spamina/Weapon Critical.
Pro tip (lol) rebind your keys instead of 12345 make it qe123 this way 1 and 2 are next to a and 345 are all equal above the direction keys.

I use the corsair scimitar mouse 12 buttons on the side 17 buttons total' Great mmo mouse also the Razer Naga is another that i used to use...
naga trinity is what im getting soon, hard to find rn aka waiting for summer sales :) but i swear the circle buttons were made for eso.
@@deklassified Yeah the Naga was my favourite mouse for years' Switched to Corsair Scimitar couple years ago' only reason is the rest of my rig AIO/Keyboard/Mouse mat all RGB corsair or i would went with aRazer again...

well i putt stuff on 2 and 3 because i dont dodge in the direction of a boss or forward when a mechanic hits kinda so i dont have to take miy fingers of a and d so i can dodge to the side

Yes, you have to weave at the perfect timing, light attack will always be a priority almost no matter what you play and how you play it
Yes. Even though the animation is like 1.5 sec, it only needs 1 sec to do the dmg. Look up Skinny cheeks video for Biting jabs weaving. He explains when to use that light attack
Also depends how good your frames/internet is. Because I copied my friends 80k 2 pet magsorc and could barely hit 55k because my Xbox just literally will not allow me to weave consistently nor clean. So it sucks. I have to go for a “easy” 100k build just to get anywhere
Question: Do you have a video suggesting sets for lower level toons like from 15 -30 lvl's when I see your posts about new and awesome builds for the new DLC's I just create a new toon and wing it until I can get to 50. I absolutely love your vids and builds and use them exclusively as you really explain things that is understandable. I am now working on three toons, Magika Warden, Magika Templar, and stam Nightblade. Skills are fine that I currently am using as per their lvls but gear is something that I just try and get the sets that work well such as Winter for my Magika's. It may be that at my lvl's 15-39 are not too important and is just a by-way until 50.

I have a purple leveling set that is level 10 that consist of Mechanical Acuity and Daedric Trickery. The procs for those never decrease in power leaving you to only worry about finding weapons every 10 levels or so.

If you are using Overwhelming surge and Mother's Sorrow and a monster set (iilambris in this case), which item would you give up to add the ring of the pale order?
Depends what you're going for really, I'd say Iilambris and replace with a 1 piece monster set with a crit chance buff
I was kind of leaning that way, but thought I would bounce the idea off of people. Despite being CP710 (or so, can't remember exactly atm), I'm still very much figuring out how to use two bars and playing with ideas from builds or Brah and others.
Usually you drop the monster set, use the shoulders instead of the "missing ring" and choose the monster helm which is the most useful 1 piece bonus for your build.

Is there any way I can get rid of input lag? It is so frustrating trying to do my rotation. I am like 1-1.5 seconds behind each button press. I have tried everything I can think of from different conttollers, wired, even a pro controller to no avail. Btw I play on PS4 for now but plan on building a rig soon
Try turning your tv to game mode if you haven't. If you're running a tv with added effects to help with visual quality you should turn them off. It fixed that issue for me.
yeah tv game mode and honestly just dont rush the rotation. going from pc to xbox i have this issue and i have to just hesitate slightly before the next La so like La+skill the same but slow down your next La and see if it helps at all. 1.5 seconds is kind of a lot so not sure why it would be that that might be a connection problem, try to get wired in or make sure your on your networks 5g if you have two frequencies which most isp now days should have both, but not all. check you network on system before loading game then check it again once game is loaded and do it in like a heavily duel area like vuhlkul guard or just anywhere else so you have a high population and animations happening.
You will be surprised how much dps is lost due to lack of enchants. Just put a bunch of greens on your gear. Then see. It may seem small but makes a huge difference

Question?, Is holding down heavy attack button permanently while going through your ability rotation reasonable. It would seem to always include your heavy attack while canceling it with your abilities. I'm a noob to dps. Also, how long are you supposed to attack the dummy to get your dps numbers.
In very basic terms; Light attacks refill your ultimate while heavy attacks refill your resource bars. Heavy attacks are also "channeled" so take longer to cast and therefore cannot be easily "weaved" with other skills. Heavy attacks also do far less damage over time compared to most skills, so it's generally a waste of effort to use unless you're completely out of resources for another skill.
@@DonovanCYoung In starting my first dps character, I've noticed my biggest problem in vet dungeons is running out of stamina. (stamina nightblade), . This question was brought about because of the advice to always weave light/heavy attacks between skills. So instead of light attacks, im asking about heavy attacks which channeled time would be cancelled anyways through a skill. So I was thinking that it would be a good idea.
Another important aspect would be, should your light/heavy attacks cancel your skills, or vice versa. ?
@@wickedowitch1652 your skills should cancel your light attacks. Light attack, skill. Light attack, skill. To the beat of a heartbeat, basically. Download the addon Global Cool Down for a nice colored bar to help you weave. It counts your skill cast time (one second) , and once the bar is empty, you Light attack again and immediately follow with a skill to cancel the Light attack.

i think the mask you can get it from crown store, dont know what motif for the robe but the shoulder and hand are apostle motif if im not mistaken forgive me if im wrong.

That's the sort of thing we cannot answer in good faith. You need to go with what appeals to you and what you want to try because theyre all viable. Like dude at the top thinks sorc but i hate sorc, whereas i resonate with the magplar but it's all personal flavour. Other peoples opinions are not that helpful for you
I never weave. I just spam abilities like wrecking blow endlessly.

So weaving and animation canceling is pretty much an exploit isn't it? Devs just didn't see it coming, now it's something they aren't going to fix cos They will probably say it's a mechanic they meant to do.

ive played with naga molten mouse or one like it since 2013. people actually use a keyboard for their most used binds? how novel.
there is nothing wrong with getting around 15K dps. That is 15000 damage per second and is plenty good enough for almost all pve content in eso. You dont have to become a sweaty tryhard to have a great time in this game!
It depends of what you're doing. If you're just doing story quests and overland content, you don't need high dps or top gear.
And as you said, the most important thing is to have fun with the game. ;)

I cant find a solution to increase my dps. Im hard stuck at 82k dps. I have the best gear and have a .9 la/s. My goal is 85k and I know some people who can hit 100k
I'm stuck at 50k dps with Oakensoul, Mothers Sorrow and Pillars of Nirn with Slimecraw helm. Most Divines, but I need more. What sets are you using please?
for skill binds GET AN MMO MOUSE with 12 buttons on the side... You should never be manually hitting numbers... hit them with your thumb on the mouse.

I really wish abilities were more strategy based and alot less 1 light attack 2 light attack 3light attack 5 light attack 4 light attack 1 heavy attack repeat. Combat is probably the only thing I hate more then constant nerfs it's extremely boring.
tips for increasing dps : dont make 25 min videos with alot of blabla go straight to the point 1-5 without all the adjective stories
