The 49ers are not going let Brandon AIyuk dictate terms they will trade him first.
He could always sit out though and make things worse so the 49ers have a couple of options pay the man what he is deserved of or let him go trade him etc

He can either play on the 5th year option or tank his career. Choice is his.
I see him being a commander or just staying with the niners. Anywhere else I’d be surprised
Paying Aiyuk on his terms means the niners can't bring back their left guard, and their 2 corners.
I'd rather keep banks, Lenoir and ward than one Aiyuk, especially with the low utilization he has.
SF dont see him as an elite wr or he would have been paid. Commanders report posted a trade for Dotson and a 2nd rd pick. I think thats fair Dotson is getting ready to breakout and would in SF offense with Deebo,Kittle,Pearsall,CMC,JJ
It's not that they don't view him as elite, it's just that he isn't the focal part of the offense and the ball gets distributed amongst a lot of other players. Based on that, they want to pay him accordingly.

it's that they don't need to pay him (yet) and it gives them a better chance of winning without paying him. The only reason to pay him is to keep him happy.
Dotson is NOT on Aiyuk's level. That is NOT a good trade.
They could pay Aiyuk now, and trade Deebo in 2025. I've been thinking this has been the plan since Deebo signed that 3 years deal. He is entering year 2 of that deal.
I could see the Niners trading him for a decent package that would be more salary cap friendly.
I prefer him over Deebo
Willing to bet they gave Deebo that money and underestimated the growth of Aiyuk

The media is so biased with the Niners. If this was another team going through this, they will be ripping that team apart and calling them a clown show. Heck, they still think they're going back to the Superbowl even though the hangover is real.

@@brendanprice4912 I just hate the biased. Somehow the Salary cap does apply to the Niners, but not to any other team. The Niners basically get an excuse for not wanting to sign certain players to the contracts they want because like I said, the salary cap apparently only applies to them.
Probably because the 49ers always end up paying their guys.

They already got rid of Armstead this off-season and will be more next year once they give Purdy that contract. Aiyuk may be asking a lot for a WR2. With the WR depth after this draft, the media pressure and Aiyuk’s insta/twitter antics are just blank shells to the Niners front office. Need a blocking WR? they’ve got Deebo and extended JJ. Need an explosive route runner and ankle breaker? got Pearsall and Cowing. It’ll be good to keep Aiyuk as a wideout threat, but I don’t see the execs being that desperate.
Aiyuk is obviously not a big picture thinker. He is currently on a team that is on the verge of winning a Super Bowl. WIN one first, then run off and make demands as a Super Bowl winning receiver…
A player with a title who is acknowledged as one of the main contributors, could command a better deal than one that has not… Honestly, besides the Chiefs, where is he likely to go, that could afford him, with a better chance at being a Champion than with the 49ers… Aikyuk is only a fourth years veteran. This could be his last and only chance, only to end up like Moss or Fitzgerald, NEVER having won ONE…

Football has an average shelf life of 2-4 years.. I gotta get my money 1st because I still got a life to live after football.. If the 49ers are all in this year then they will sign him. If there are thinking about long term then they will trade him. That’s my thinking but Aiyuk only option is to sit out this season which will either push the 49ers to make a deal or trade now.
It would be cheap to let him sit and keep him from going to another team 😂
