Drafted this dude in two of my fantasy leagues so I’ve been invested in Washington games. This dude is going to be a star. His demeanor and personality make him very likable. You can tell his teammates love him. I’ve become a fan.

Its a new system, if you pay attention in the NFL teams sometimes take a little while to find their flow in the New defensive schemes. I honestly do wish Dallas would have hired Rex though, I been a fan of Rex for a very long time and love how he calls defenses and would have loved to see him with this Dallas defense, that defense is waiting to push into elite status and is so close. They just need more big guys on that line and the right coach to fire these guys up.

Hurts has 42 fumbles and 38 INTs in 66 career games. He's had one of the top O-lines his whole career and superstars @ skill positions. Fancy talking Jaemis Winston sprinkled with some scrambling. He has the most time to throw but is top 5 in getting sacked! He cant even throw down the middle. Hes a below average QB!

Just give the Commanders a better defense (especially a secondary), along with some additional weapons on offense, and Jayden will be even better next season, because the team won't be reliant on him to carry them all throughout the season. That will allow him to develop better as a young player, and not have to deal with an inordinate amount of pressure, which is what Bryce Young dealt with in Carolina.
Also, I guarantee dozens of players are going to be itching to be Commanders next season, if their contracts are up this offseason, assuming Jayden continues his trajectory towards greatness.
It's amazing how in one video Justin Fields current play makes up for his play in prior seasons, but Darnold gets no credit for his current play and still has past seasons held against him.
I get your point. This Fields 4th season on new team. Darnold is on his 4th team and 7th season. But they probably hard on Darnold for being on the Jets.
Donald like most young QBs needed time to develop. However, he still has weaknesses DC’s will exploit. The real question is can he finish his career as an above avg or even avg starter? And make Cpl deep playoff runs?
I say no to playoff runs. This is his only year to sniff a SB
That's not a good comparison, IMO. Darnold failed rather spectacularly with the Jets after a couple of bad seasons, went to Carolina, and failed again after a good 3-0 start. Many people fear that Darnold still has that same failure in him, so they need to see him put a string of games together before they can start to believe, which is understandable. Meanwhile, Fields wasn't very good in Chicago, but he still had moments... they just had the chance to pick up Caleb with the #1 pick, so he was shipped out. Many people in Chicago still believe it would have been better to keep him and trade the #1 pick for a haul, and build a better team instead, meaning they never fully think of him as a failure (just the situation was terrible).
The reason for this is Fields' progression was more within expectations which makes us think it's sustainable. Darnolds progression right this year is blowing all expectations out of the water, which makes us think it's unsustainable
@kalingbf5362 to add to your point because I am a Bears fan, there was a real debate on keeping Justin Fields or trading the pick. If the Bears didn't have the number 1 or at least top 3 pick, then Fields would still be our QB. The messed up for not firing Eberflus or getting the wrong OC for Caleb.

I’m not Bears fan but it’s only been 4 games! Jayden Daniels is been asked to do so much less than Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams also has a the worse Oline in the NFL and is consistently running for his life. Bears have no run game at all. Outside of yesterday’s game against Rams, Bears are second to last in running. Caleb has been asked to do a lot more and I mean a lot more with Bears. Jayden is certainly good but he’s not gonna be throwing 80% completion for rest of the year.

RGME didn't listen to his coaches(arguable that he wasn't surrounded by enough good coaching), coming out of college wasn't good at reading the opponents defense, had a bit of attitude being cocky and his frame for a QB was fragile. He ran the ball too much and would get knocked around like a rag doll. RGME was a flash in the pan. Once the league got a read on him, he was bound to fizzle. Plus the injuries derailed his short career.

@@xZoogiiee Strongly disagree. CW got all the hype, but he hasn't lived up to it yet. Caleb also is only 6'1" so he doesn't see over the top of his linemen as well as JD at 6'4". JD also had the full college experience while CW didn't. CW is trying to become a Patrick Holmes 2.0 and it aint gonna happen! I will give CW some cred for the fact he has some bad coaching in Chicago.

Washington was never trading that pick. There wasn’t anything any team could offer to move them out of number 2. Can’t blame the Raiders for not being able to compete with Magic Johnson for Kliff.
Kingsbury was almost ready to sign to my Raiders, but the deal fell apart in the last day. Rumors has it that he wanted a 3 year deal and some more pay. Raiders offered a 2 year deal and less money. We would have NEVER gotten Daniels. Commanders were only taking insanity trades to give him up.
