Russ was sabotaged, first by a coach who never should’ve been hired in the first place, widespread injuries, lazy receivers, RBs who couldn’t hang onto the ball, and an inconsistent O-Line. Then he was sabotaged by a coach who tried to tank the season at his expense and purposely called plays that wouldn’t allow Russ to fully attack defenses. Russ was never incompetent! He couldn’t be incompetent if he tried, and it seems like he breaks some record or garners some new distinction with every game. For example, he is one of only four QBs since 1970 to have 13+ Game-winning TD passes within the last 3 minutes of games (tied with Marino at 13). Brady is the leader with 15 and Stafford has 14, which means Russ will likely pass him then both no later than next year, if not this year. Russ threw his first INT in 179 pass attempts, which takes him back to last season. He has the longest active TD streak with 23 games with at least 1 TD pass, which means the streak started when he was playing for Nathaniel Hackett back in 2022! But Russ was incompetent in Denver. I’m tired of hearing this bs about Russ’s declined mobility too. He rushed for 342 yards in 2019 in 16 games. He rushed for 341 yards in 2023 in Denver while playing only 15 games (for a coach who didn’t even resign many runs for him), finishing 8th in QB rush yards right behind Mahomes at 7th. Russ had a 47% QB rushing first down rate in 2023. JF had a 37% first down rate. JF was at 29% entering the Raiders game. Here are Russ’s 2023 rankings with a coach sabotaging him by keeping the playbook closed, no run game, ONE reliable receiver, an inconsistent at best O-Line, and a horrible defense: #1 in 4th Qtr comebacks (4) #1 in Game-Winning Drives (4) #2 in Adj. Completion Rate (78.8%) #2 in TD% (5.9) #4 in Completion Differentials #5 in TD-INT Ratio (26:8) #7 in Passer Rating (98.0) *#8 in QB Rush Yards (341, 15 games)* #9 in TDs (26) #9 in INT Rate (1.8) #10 in INTs (8) #11 in Completion% (66.4%) He had 4 of the top-5 LEAST probable completions league-wide last season, and three were thrown to Courtland Sutton. Russ was a borderline top-10 QB last year with a HC sabotaging him and trying to tank. He beat the toughest teams on the Broncos’ schedule midseason with a horrible offense and barely one WR, including GB, Buffalo, KC, Minnesota, and Cleveland). Here’s proof of Russ’s deep-ball prowess: Big plays open the run game in Pittsburgh just like they did in Seattle. No QB even comes close to Russell Wilson’s big-throw success: Against the Jets, he had 5 explosive plays 4 by air and one on the ground. According to Sports Info Solutions (SIS), Russ in 2023 completed 6 passes of 40+ air yards past the original LoS (for 301 yards), good for #1 in the NFL. 4 of those 6 went for TDs. The 2 that didn’t were drops by his WRs. He attempted 16 such passes, 10 of which were deemed on target and none of which resulted in an INT…0 INTs! Again, going back to late 2022, after Nathaniel Hackett’s firing, Russ has ripped off 23 straight games of 1+ TDs. Games 14-17 for 4 games (2022) Games 1-15 for 15 games (2023) Games 7-9 (2024, Pittsburgh) No other QB has even come close to that! He’s on pace to throw for at least 2,700 yards, 22 TDs, and 3 INTs in 11 games and has a 105 Passer Rating.😏 Show me how he’s incompetent! The Broncos organization is incompetent. They went after a star QB before they had the pieces in place to support him. Colin and Nick Wright had Caleb Williams and the Bears going to the Superbowl before the season started . Bears currently in 4th place in there own division
It’s not really the point but I’d be curious to hear more about QBs not throwing Hail Marys out of concern for rating, because that has always appeared to come from the league’s ultra-conservative risk aversion
A_Aron doesn’t fire the HC,OC after 5 games….play soft defense or kick field goals …or trade Mike Williams when Lazard is on IR. Jets entire team is awful.

Its simple. Walmart got outsmarted by Russell Wilson in the board room & it made them 🤬🤬🤬🤬. Sean Payton has to make this work, or Walmart will have "doubled down" & struck out 3x on a QB.
Hass says Russ lacked "humility". That is the kind of BS that means nothing. Tell us exactly what he did wrong. For some reason they cant or wont be specific. He had a parking space and an office. BFD. Some people have always disliked Wilson and were happy to stomp on him when things didnt work in Denver.
How are the Bears going to convince any quality free agent to sign with them in the off-season? They are going to have to pay through the nose to get any big name agent to sign with them. I would rather take less money to play with the Panthers or the Raiders before I would go and sign with the Bears.
This team had Matt naggy and got mad that they tried to when a SB lmao. “Omgg we went to the NFC championship game and now we can’t be good for TWO WHOLE SEASONS, FIRE HIM!” Clown front office
The problem the Jets have with Rodgers is they keep pushing money down the road, which is now a dead end. Lotta deadcap money in that contract. Let's say Rodgers retires they have Adams, is going to want to stay?
Hasselbeck singing Goff's praises as not throwing it away or running out of bounds, but chucking it up for 5 INTs, 3 of which were not completable, showed his strength and team first attitude. can you imagine if Lamar hucked 5 picks Thurs vs Cincy? What a joke. Look, the playmakers and talent built around Goff make Detroit a dangerous offense, not Goff. Detroit had their ticket to the Super Bowl printed last year, Goff did Goff and S.F. came back and won. Baltimore loses to the great and powerful Mahomes by 7 and Lamar's rep as a playoff bum grows. No mention of Flowers getting robbed at goalline by a one in 1000 play or his dumb penalty, or the coaches abandoning the run game because they had no answer for Spagnola's run defense. Nick Wright, Mangini, and Hasselbeck are Lamar haters that hang on any flaw of his and now blame him for their horrible pass defense by scoring too fast and tiring out his defense! Seriously! If I'm wrong tell me why Hasselbeck said no one fears Rodgers like they do a great young dual threat like K. Murray. What? If we play KC in playoffs which is a high probability, that's the super bowl because no NFC team has the skills to top either Lamar or the Chiefs stout defense.
Russ smush. Throws an un catchable ball to Pickens that was a circus catch and a moon ball to Williams that was poorly defended and the talking heads say he’s back.
Sack are on the Quarterback. The line is not that bad. He has all the weapons in the world and was billed as a “generational talent” 💅🏾 going to the “best situation ever.” When are you going to admit wou were completely wrong in your evaluation of Gayleb??
Russell going back to the humility that led him to success in his early years in Seattle has everything to do with it. No private office, no entourage, no “let Russell cook” bs. I mean, putting the head down, just being a player and allow himself to be coached. That’s it. A shift in attitude. At the end of the day, he is a $1 million player as far as PIT is concerned. Aaron, on the other hand, ran out of time to repent.
These leading questions at 10:00 are straight up pathetic and obnoxious. Next time, just ask him for a sound bite trashing arod. We get it cowherd, you dont like aaron rodgers. Fs1's arod hate is simply amateur. Politics got these grown men shook
He did need a big serving of humble pie (remember his private office while with the Broncos?). But at least he's in a better situation now. He still has a shot at making it into the Hall of Fame.
Colin Coward is full of sh!t. He never knows what he’s talking about! Mahomes has a great defense and iconic head coach! And Russ can still move. Matt Hasslebeck is so jealous of Russ!
So if I was the Bears brass at this point I would do the Bears organization a favor and break from tradition by firing Poles and Eberflat yesterday. Let's not let them put their names in the Bear's record book for the worst winning percentage in modern times. The Patriots looked like a team that played together for the first time at soldier field last Sunday vs the Bears. We all know the Bears not just lost the game it looked like they fielded a JV highschool team. How do you regress that bad from one season to the next after you have had three seasons to implement your "plan". I am em-bear-assed for them on Sundays. The whole show is cringe worthy. If I owned the Bear's... I would ask President Trump to come by and give his famous tag line to Ryan Poles "You're Fired!"
The only thing wrong with Russ in Denver was his elitist personality that players didn’t like. The dude demanded his own office in Denver. Think Tomlin lets Russ have his own office right now?? Tomlin is the best coach for Russ and has been keeping him an equal part of his team
@ sure, because the team was desperate. He still demanded the office be in his contract. Name one other QB EVER to have his own office at the team facility.
He barely Made half of his throws… he is NOT back. He is being saved by a good defense and just throws long balls when he can. Russ is similar to Seattle but is washed up
Listen, I'm glad russ is doing well but I'm also glad he's gone. He is doing great this year, but he's also playing for $1 million dollars. Denver mortgaged our future to get russ knowing that his contract and the trades we had to make meant that he would have to play like an elite qb to make up for our limitations. He didn't even come close. Even though he did ok in 2023 he couldn't run the offense in a way that a veteran should. And people say that sean Payton should have dumbed down the offense to play to Wilson's strengths. First, he did. Second, you don't hire sean Payton to run a limited offense. That's like buying a Ferrari to run daily errands. Bottom line, Russ was an expensive, aging qb, who couldn't run an adult offense or throw over the middle. I'm glad he's having success, but I trust sean Payton
Sean Payton made it to one Super Bowl and and he quit before he got fired in New Orleans I am a bronco fanatic but Sean Payton is not a great coach or this genius offensive mind Russell was making these same throw in Denver last year and the receivers were not catching them or trying to make a play and they rarely got open no nix has to run for his life give them extra time just to get open and attempt to have some kind of offense
@antionesmith Bud, you hit the heart of the issue. We don't have elite receivers and we have abysmal tight ends. We could have solved that in the draft or free agency. But again, we gave up everything for russ. And with very limited weapons, Payton has bo, the 6th qb taken and a guy who would have gone in the 2nd or 3rd round in years past, playing to a high level

Great at shaving his dome.
Yep, great at holding a clipboard and "always being ready in case I"m needed' LOL
Colin and Nick Wright had Caleb Williams and the Bears going to the Superbowl before the season started . Bears currently in 4th place in there own division
Accent came out at 11:45 with Matt 😂
Colin walking back on Caleb HARD.
It’s not really the point but I’d be curious to hear more about QBs not throwing Hail Marys out of concern for rating, because that has always appeared to come from the league’s ultra-conservative risk aversion
Lack of mobility? Bro he escapes the pocket just fine
Always enjoy Hasslebeck
Man Hassle still looks the same. He had a nice lookin deep ball too, it just went to the other team too many times during a game
A_Aron doesn’t fire the HC,OC after 5 games….play soft defense or kick field goals …or trade Mike Williams when Lazard is on IR. Jets entire team is awful.
Nah Collin, I need the same energy you was on at the beginning of the season talking about how we would be trash. Now you’re just neutral on it and trying to make sense of it.
Tomlin is proving that he is a great coach and Sean Peyton is overrated
Probably, but Russ eating humble pie, putting his head down and playing for his career are helping too.
Love how the conversation is still surrounding the team Arizona has belted again. Not Arizona being good
Yeah dude I’m not even from Arizona but they’re definitely good? It doesn’t make sense
Someone needs to tell easports also
I remember when he said the Steelers should give up TJ Watt, George Pickens and three 1st round picks for Caleb Williams and then trashed the signing of Russ. Lol
Remember colin shouting for tomlin out of the job ; saying wilson wasnt good ; classic backoedaling colin
How are the Bears going to convince any quality free agent to sign with them in the off-season? They are going to have to pay through the nose to get any big name agent to sign with them. I would rather take less money to play with the Panthers or the Raiders before I would go and sign with the Bears.
Who bets the McCaskey family fires Eberflus and then goes out and hire themselves yet another defensive head coach! 😂😂😂
A defensive head coach ain't even the problem, they only hire lame duck coaches
or Aaron Rogers, just look at his record as the Jets HC.
This team had Matt naggy and got mad that they tried to when a SB lmao.
“Omgg we went to the NFC championship game and now we can’t be good for TWO WHOLE SEASONS, FIRE HIM!”
Clown front office
@@ci6516 I Know
Colin the Coward.
The bears should trade for Justin Fields 😅
Yeah, really, he's only on a one year, like russ
CALEB is sadly turning into a Bust! AND SO DOES COLIN'S CREDIBILITY! 🤣🤣😂😂
I like Siriani too
Wilson in his prime was better then brady!
Even Belichick admitted that.
@@DanArchie-r9q And also you don't start a sentence with a lower case letter
I have been a Russ fan since his rookie season, but not even I would make that claim.
Absolutely untrue
Well, Jan Brady maybe
this jets season will go down as one of the most embarrassing moments in sports.
Don't make Caleb Williams the next Justin Fields/Bryce Young.
Bears need to be careful - Caleb’s seeing ghosts
Serious audio issues with this one
The problem the Jets have with Rodgers is they keep pushing money down the road, which is now a dead end. Lotta deadcap money in that contract. Let's say Rodgers retires they have Adams, is going to want to stay?
This will be the last time you see Matt on this show. Saying Mahomes misses open receivers is worse than saying the N word
Rus is on a revenge tour
Kellen was great in Prosser
Colin needs to fix his mic
Remember before the season started Colin said Tomlin was going to have a loosing season and the Steelers are the worst team in the division
F The Herd should be called THE NERD and this guy is a total COWARD
The Bears will never get things right until the McCaskey's sell the team. It starts at the top.
Wassup colin 🐱...I thought the colts were gonna beat the BILLS .....speak 🗣️ up mark 😅😅 !!! down boy
The eagles have gone through 3 OCs and 4 DCs in three years and the team literally collapsed last year, he's not a great head coach
Fear Kyler. Dang bro. Fear Lamar😨
Sacks are not on the QB when a guy walks untouched or practically untouched and sacks the QB before he can even drop back.
Y'all fake talkers Russ was good in Denver 26 TD 6 Ints stop hating
Colin please pay a winning QB To Come On The Show.. Hasselbeck, Is Not That And A Hypocrite..
Arizon is in first place yet we are talking about an irrelevant team to the post season that got routed
tired of the Jets. but its New York. if the Yankees suck , then its news of the year.
Politics got these grown men shook
anddddddd he’s wrong about the steelers again, what’s new.
Colin Coward strikes again
Russell never needed to be humbled, and you sound racist.
He did need a big serving of humble pie (remember his private office while with the Broncos?). But at least he's in a better situation now. He still has a shot at making it into the Hall of Fame.
He did not, and you don't know what your talking about. Russell Wilson wasn't the only franchise quarterback to ever have a office.
Colin is jinx us
Please stay negative
Should have never moved off fields way bigger way stronger.
Caleb is playing with 4th string oline. Let any QB succeed in that setup and scheme and Bears use tempo all the time, do these guys watch the games? 😂
Hasslegoat
HassleWHAT? 😂
The only thing wrong with Russ in Denver was his elitist personality that players didn’t like. The dude demanded his own office in Denver. Think Tomlin lets Russ have his own office right now?? Tomlin is the best coach for Russ and has been keeping him an equal part of his team
He didn't demand anything, his agent negotiated his contract, and the office was one of the things the team agreed to
@ sure, because the team was desperate. He still demanded the office be in his contract. Name one other QB EVER to have his own office at the team facility.
He barely Made half of his throws… he is NOT back. He is being saved by a good defense and just throws long balls when he can. Russ is similar to Seattle but is washed up
Russ is a house of cards. Just wait. Glad he is getting some of his swagger back though
That's a lot of words to say some nonsense.
Here are Russ’s 2023 rankings with a coach sabotaging him by keeping the playbook closed, no run game, ONE reliable receiver, an inconsistent at best O-Line, and a horrible defense:
#1 in 4th Qtr comebacks (4)
#1 in Game-Winning Drives (4)
#2 in Adj. Completion Rate (78.8%)
#2 in TD% (5.9)
#4 in Completion Differentials
#5 in TD-INT Ratio (26:8)
#7 in Passer Rating (98.0)
*#8 in QB Rush Yards (341, 15 games)*
#9 in TDs (26)
#9 in INT Rate (1.8)
#10 in INTs (8)
#11 in Completion% (66.4%)
He had 4 of the top-5 LEAST probable completions league-wide last season, and three were thrown to Courtland Sutton.
Russ was a borderline top-10 QB last year with a HC sabotaging him and trying to tank. He beat the toughest teams on the Broncos’ schedule midseason with a horrible offense and barely one WR, including GB, Buffalo, KC, Minnesota, and Cleveland).
Here’s proof of Russ’s deep-ball prowess:
Big plays open the run game in Pittsburgh just like they did in Seattle. No QB even comes close to Russell Wilson’s big-throw success:
Against the Jets, he had 5 explosive plays 4 by air and one on the ground.
Games 14-17 for 4 games (2022)
Games 1-15 for 15 games (2023)
Games 7-9 (2024, Pittsburgh)
No other QB has even come close to that!
He’s on pace to throw for at least 2,700 yards, 22 TDs, and 3 INTs in 11 games and has a 105 Passer Rating.😏
Show me how he’s incompetent! The Broncos organization is incompetent.
They went after a star QB before they had the pieces in place to support him.
That’s like buying a brand new Mercedes you cannot afford, giving it to your alcoholic daughter who barely passed her drivers test and keeps wrecking, and parking the car in a dirty alley located in a seedy part of town. That brand new Mercedes will look like sh!t quickly!
Hold that organization accountable for hiring an unqualified coach on the hope that he could lure Aaron Rodgers, a QB who wouldn’t have been worth the headaches anyway.
: Broncos fans need to quit blaming Russ for their organization’s incompetence.
