My bf had sex with his friend after he got mad at me and ghosted me and they had sex and she always hated me and really just wanted to get back at me. He then broke away from her and now they are no longer friends. He came back crying that he had made a huge mistake and wants to work on things. I cant forgive him and will move on after 20 years together. I can see how upset and remorseful he is but I no longer respect him.
Give him another chance. You probably respect him, but feel like you can't. You might be fighting you

I usually can't sit through and give undivided attention to readings, podcasts, and videos on this topic due the excessive gender-bias generalization. All of which is based on something a person that doesn't have the proper education on the topic and emotional intelligence said based on their personal experiences, influences, and/or unreliable resources.
The way you delivered yourself in this topic and keeping it as bias-free as possible allowed me to focus on your input in such way I finally have a clearer view on it and whether it is for me or not.

Kirsty, way to go!! Be up front, honest, mature and basically you. I just wish I could turn the clock back because if you set everything out right, you cut out the crap, trust the guys completely, and literally nothing gets in the way so you can get the best sex of your life. Cultivate a few great friends and that way you can learn and become the best lover. How's the sex life? :)
My fwb doesn’t like me seeing other people because before we sleep together we had an agreement that we wouldn’t sleep with other people.
Great topic! 43 yr old guy here. I agree that FWBs can work. The common reason they fail is because someone had feelings from the begging and tried to route into love that way. Some of us are reluctant to have an FWB situation again after someone done us that.
I think much more should have been said about hooking up less frequently, or not sleeping over, or not having romantic dinners, in an effort to keep it FWB. People foolishly sleep over a lot and go on weekends away. That builds deeper connection! A little bit was said at ~65:00
Both sexes feel oxytocin, yes. It happens with cuddling and with orgasms. It's not just due to spending multiple hours together. Multiple hours in the same house might even help kill romantic thoughts. Keep cuddling in bed to a minimum, and that usually helps. Couch cuddling for a movie is less risky.
This sounded like an open relationship guide at times too, my preferred type of serious relationship. I believe people can keep the FWB freedom after forming something more serious with a spouse. I'm not advocating polyamory, but instead side lovers being FWBs.
30% of men are willing to try an open relationship while 16% of women are, according to one study. Can we generalize that more men want non-monogamy than women?
Otherwise, I agree that women are just as sexual, and the Pagan Goddess era of sexual worship and freedom was probably the best sexual to live in. :) No shaving back then either, yay!
No, that era was there because morality was way different from now. I strongly disagree.
I am the worst to take relationship advise from. Three failed marriages justifies it. But I also have had many fwb situations that I’ve had to step away from because the other one involved broke the ground rules, or developed feelings. Became stockers in some instances, and even broke into my house, or out right psycho… I now have been exclusively single without any involvement with anyone sexually for the past five or six years. This has been a very good thing for me because before that I was never not with a woman in my life from my high school years and beyond… I really needed to rediscover myself as what I wanted in myself and who I truly am. It takes time to heal from unhealthy relationships of the past. I also quit drinking about ten years ago. So that also kept me out of the nightclub loop and really took the opportunities to hookup out of the equation all together. But saying that I am a musician that plays at bars and other places that offer those same opportunities. I’ve turned down so many offers that I have to wonder myself if I’m ever going to allow myself to go for it again. I’ve been to councilors and for the most part feel ok with my self induced bachelor lifestyle and I’m not in need of anyone else in my life. I would again love to have a fwb situation but don’t have a lot of choices and the inter web thing is never going to happen without a bunch of money involved or trolling imposters that pray on idiots like me… wtf do I do now??? I really don’t want to pay for sex but somehow money always creeps into it…

What if the guy l like in in a relationship but tells me it's exclusive but causal. We seen each other prior to me working for him. Probably is he finds me very attractive, we work well together and he lives the way l work for him but he tells me he wants FWB but he's still with her. I really care for him and want it to grow but he also says he's not good in relationships. What do l do? We are both 52 yrs old. I know he will grow on me and l'll grow on him. A 2 year long FwBs arrangement just ended for Me. She's a very dear friend and She expressed feeling like She wasn't getting anything out of it. She needs that Romantic component and I'm Aromantic which She knew about me going in. I had to assure Her I wasn't upset and that if it preserved the friendship that I'm perfectly fine with ending the physical component of our friendship.

According to experts friends with benefits can led to a real relationship and even marriage, emotions can also get involved, theirs nothing wrong with it, I'm currently in a friend with benefits with a guy that was my boyfriend and he is married, we decided to be friends with benefits while him still being married to his wife, I'm currently his side chick as well and he lives in another state plus I'm in another friend with benefits with a man that has a girlfriend, I care about both very much ❤️❤️🙂 I'm in a one sided but I don't force them to be in a real relationship
