In The Final! It took a while, but it's finally here! I began working on this in August but despite my refinements, I felt like it needed to be a little more special. After all, my subscriber count has doubled from doing this series and this song is indeed The Grand Finale. I kept a few of the original instruments (but I added effects), too, since I feel like if you remove those instruments, you remove all charm from the song. It's just part of what makes it a classic.
Richard Braithwaite (who also happens to be my Music Tech teacher, heh) was willing to record the string section live and the difference definitely shows. Thanks so much for helping me (:
This is not the end of the Bowser's Inside Story DX series. I still need to remaster the credits and ending theme. However, those projects will not be as large scale as this one and I will probably take a break from this channel after that. "Final" thank you to everyone that supported me while I worked on this series. Will I do Partners in Time? Absolutely, but definitely not as actively as I worked on this project. Well, unless a remake is announced (:

This is like the best In The Final remix I’ve heard. Every other one tries too hard to be epic. This one stays close to the original without going over the top. Beautiful.

You know what i just noticed?! You made almost the entire soundtrack of inside story in under a YEAR and all of them were insanely good. Like...honestly you earn my biggest respect. @@rez7437 I don't see why not. Meta Ridley and standard Ridley are both skins under the same character, and it they're more different visually than Bowser vs Dark Bowser.
This sound sooo much like the Kingdom Hearts instrument style, well... both the M&L RPG series and KH series share the same composer, I wouldn't be surprise if the official remake sound exactly like it.

The way you synced up the final blow to the music at the end was BEAUTIFUL! That felt so good. Possibly the best remix of this song I've ever heard.

This does truly capture how serious a threat the Dark Star was. A battle that determined the fate of the Mushroom Kingdom and the entire world.
Sorry if this is...creepy, but I'm so proud of you. You've always been great, but you're getting even better, and you're getting more well-deserved recognition. Congratulations. This theme makes me strangely emotional. You certainly did it justice. :)

Here we are. You stand at the top, with all of your items, gear, SP, and HP ready for the final. You've tried to reveal the truth, but to no avail. The Bros. and Bowser are both ready. It's finally time to defeat Dark Bowser and stop Fawful once and for all. But, Dark Bowser is invincible, and the only way to beat him is to remove the Dark Star Core from his body. The Bros. must defeat the Dark Star Core in a challenging (or not so challenging) battle, or all hope is lost. Once the Bros. are done, and Bowser delivers the final blow, it's over... Their journey has come to an end, but... Nobody forgot about the AMAZING remix playing during that battle. The Bros. even danced to it. Now, it's over, and that's sad... But who said Fawful wasn't lying and actually survived? (somehow)
Anyways, great remix as always! I can tell that a lot of effort went into this one. If I'm remember correctly, you didn't do this alone. Great job to everyone who helped too! It's a great way to top off your playlist of remixed Bowser's Inside Story. Well, there's still a couple more tracks that are after this one, but still. I'm hoping the actual remix will live up to the original, like yours. Great job, and keep on making great content.
Also, yes. I did make a nod to the "Fawful isn't dead" theories. Chances are, Nintendo won't bring him back, but they've changed. After all, this game wouldn't have been created without them, and neither would your remixes of this game.
A GAAAAAAME THEEEEORY
The problem with the theory is: During Superstar Saga, Fawful realized Cackletta was using him. It is implied in one version of Bowser's Inside Story that Fawful no longer likes Cackletta, as he calls her a hag. Also, there is a character in Drean Team that say "I have excitement!"
I believe only Fawful is alive, well out of the two. More villains could be alive. If you remember, the dark star split into smaller pieces before the fight with it inside Bowser. Now, how did Fawful die. By "exploding" into a bunch of smaller pieces! What if he was trying to conceal his death to plan a new attack. Other villains could come back too. There are more shroobs frozen in Bowser's castle, other then the 3 fought. Also if shroobs could be frozen and preserved, so could Midbus. Popple also is around, as shown in Dream Team. Fawful and some minor baddies could create an army to invade the world. Not just the mushroom kingdom, but the beanbean kingdom and all other places in the games. If Nintendo did this, this could be a really expansive game and, for sure, I'd buy it.

i now want to play BiS again.... i had it when i was really young but never beat it. i would usually play it on a wii u virtual console mod but BiS is one of the few games that don't work with the DS injector... and i don't think my raspberry pi will play it since it'll crash when it needs the microphone.... ugh, how can i play this game!

This popped up in my suggestions, and I have to say......MY WORD, how I’ve missed Bowser’s Inside Story.
The original piece was epic, dramatic, invigorating, but this puts a new twist on things......the violin adds more weight to it, making it feel sorrowful, almost a tad depressing, as if the song is accounting for all the struggles you had to reach this point, but you don’t even know if it’ll be enough. And still......you fight on, hoping for a moment after the fight, when the day is won, and victory is reached at the end of the long road. And still......you fight.
As I’ve heard that a remake of the new remake is coming out, I’ve become giddy to listen to the remastered version of this grand finale. However, with this......I may not want to, or this is good enough.

Wow, this is actually better than the remaster we got for this in the 3ds version. Someday I'd like to mash up the lyrics by Man on the Internet to this glorious cover. That would be a masterpiece.

Probably one of my favorite remixes of this song I have ever heard. This is an amazing blend of electricity and strings. I love the transition at 0:32. Most remixes seem to miss the feeling of that part.

So I'm here because of how incredibely dissapointed I am with the official remix of this song in the remake. Never thought I'd actually dislike a track from Yoko Shimomura.
However, your remix is just perfect. It capture the seriousness and the epic feeling of the original track and brings it to a whole new level without having it lose the punch it packed.

Holy crap dude! This is the best thing ever. You really did this song justice and the last bit is so perfect. It’s a feeling of that everything is on the line. A do or die moment against all odds and I love it. I remember getting to the final boss in the og game but little me couldn’t pull off the win. When it got remade it was a chance at redemption to complete the only game I ever left unfinished. That embodies how I felt getting back to this fight almost 10 years later. This song will always hold a special place in my childhood and you’ve perfected it.
The final stop at last. You've finally begun your battle, and have been trading blow after blow with the dark power. You can't lose, you WON'T lose. This is your kingdom after all, and you won't be the one vanishing today.
I can't even put how amazing the remastering of In The Final into words! You've just blown my mind! I know that there's technically 2 songs left, but this truly feels like this is the end. You've done an astounding job remastering this game's soundtrack, and I can't wait for what's next.

I can hear the Background Battle's sound effects because I've done the fight about 16 times. I hear the laughs of Fawful's remains, the noises of the Special attacks, the damage counters, the attacks, ALL OF IT. It's terrifying.

You’ll be surprised how good my senses are. I listened to this at 10 out of 16 dots in volume, while wearing headphones, and the violin part made my ears ring. How low the limit for me to listen to without my ears ringing is surprisingly low.
Me 3 years later: that was not meant to be a needless criticism (I LOVE THIS), but that was just pride. Plain and simple. Pride.

*Once upon a time,there were two kingdoms,the Beanbean Kingdom and the mushroom Kingdom,a place where no man has set foot,except for the two heroes of the mushroom Kingdom,it was their duty to protect these lands and the Princess,named princess peach from a king,this king was named bowser,he was strong and very durable,he led an army and would attack the castle,but would never succeed as the two heroes would defeat him in various ways,he always tried to take over the other Kingdom and kidnap the Princess,but was always stopped by the pair of heroes,named Mario and luigi,they had went on many adventures with each other, cared dearly for each other,but one day,a villain named fawful hid in a cloke and had a plan to get rid of the three kingdoms and use them all for himself and command them,he sold a strange mushroom to the king and said it gave the eater great powers,but the king was foolish to accept the offer,as soon as he ate it he starting vacuuming everything up that was around him,he went to the castle to kidnap the Princess once more,but out of now where he swallowed everyone including the Mario brothers,they adventured inside of him and helped him defeat fawful,who had took over the koopa Kingdom,where the king would dwell,he was furious so they took off to destroy this "fawful",but he had,cloned all of bowsers minions and made them evil,a great dark hurricane started at the top of the mushroom kingdoms castle,fawful had changed himself into this disgusting monster,dwelling inside of "dark bowser",a clone of bowser,they had a great battle,bowser ended up defeating the dark bowser while Mario and luigi destroyed fawful,the only thing that bowser had over the dark star was pride,he won the fight and had defeated fawful,too be continued?*

Sometimes, only simple changes are needed to make the best possible remix. This is far better than those that try going all out. THis is more closer to the original, but with much more emotion. I can feel the tension rising when the pitch of the song change. I love it

I’ve always looked for a remix that perfectly captures the sort of sadness that accompanies In the Final, and this one takes the cake. Devastatingly beautiful.
Yo know, lots of remixes of this song go over the top and try to make it something it shouldn't be. This,however, is by far the best remix of this battle i've ever heard. It stays perfectly in boundaries for the first 2/3 of the song, and oh man,once that last cycle plays, it blows me away every time. Keep this up,and keep making beautiful tracks like these.
