Thank you! It was time for the "Mad" button. He is a smart kitty and was finding was of expressing it before he had the button. My favorite was when he asked to be brushed when I was in the middle of an important email and I told him "Brush Later". He wasn't happy and pushed "No' "Love You" Lol. I'm not sure if that was an I don't love you because I won't brush you now or a you don't love me because I won't brush you now. I realized then he was ready to learn mad.
Obviously, from the way Todd was looking at the bookshelf, he wanted to read that big book about the UNIVERSE, Dad! So much more for Todd to be asking for in there!
True, Lol. One of the cameras is there and he knows where they are as I will talk to him through them when I'm away on my business trips. After he pushes a button he will often look at me or one of the cameras.
Ah yeah, the cat drama content I've been waiting for! Seriously though, I often wonder if cats have a broad emotional spectrum that goes way beyond what the talk buttons can get into, but it's still pretty incredible that a cat can be taught to understand and communicate anything as abstract as emotion. Great job, Todd and Todd's dad!
I have always thought that they are capable of far more than we give them credit for and Todd is the most expressive cat I have ever had/seen. I had to give him a chance to be able to tell me what he wants, thinks, and feels. He is already using combinations of words to express thoughts and feeling for words he does not have/know yet. I can't wait to see what he will be doing in a a few years from now.

He gets his medicine in the dish and he loves it. He always checks to see if there is any more in there evening though he knows when he gets is and that he has eaten it already. Lol

That is an excellent question. of course I don't do anything intentionally to make him mad but when something happens that I think makes him unhappy or mad I go to his buttons and press "Todd" "Mad" "Now". Example when I pulled out my suitcase to go on a trip, he asked me not to go by pressing "love You" "No" "No" "No" "No" "No". I told hime I was sorry and have to go then pressed "Todd" "Mad" "Now". Then I pick him up and comfort him and tell him it's okay to be mad and then press "Dad" "Love You" "Todd". I do this whenever I think that he is not happy about something and after awhile he understands and associates Mad with the emotion. I hope this helps and again, a great question.
