My cat one time started carrying on something fierce. I was playing a video game & hubby had to be online for work. I looked the time & then at my cat, patted his head & said hold on, lemme put the radio (it was time for a weekly fave radio program). The minute I turned on the radio, he immediately calmed down. He was letting me know it was time Sinatra 😹
When I was about 10 we had a cat that would walk up our road & then turn the corner & walk in the direction of the school to meet us. The school was only about a quarter of a mile away so it is possible that she heard the school bell & learnt to associate that with our subsequent appearance but somehow she knew it was time for us to come home & always met us at about the same place.
These r wonderful stories. I thank u for sharing. I enjoyed the reprieve while reading them. Life gets so heavy sometimes, if it weren't for cats there wouldn't be much joy in my world. Cats has soothed my soul for 53 years.
One of my favorite things about Sunday mornings is waking up to see a new Todd video. He’s such a special and amazing little boy! I also love seeing Glamour and Paulie, such beautiful kitties! Thank you for sharing them with us!
Glamour cracks me up. My Norwegian-midwestern grandma used to use the word "fussbudget," and that's how I'd describe Glamour with her finicky, grumpy, vocal ways. Glamour is a fussbudget. lol.
I had a grouchy cat, but eventually she had a mysterious illness. Maybe I should’ve had her autopsied 🤷♀️. I kinda feel like the vet should’ve, for his education.
Todd would like you to know the brushing and pets will never be done. When I was growing up one of our cats would practically inhale her food. To slow her down I used to toss it kibble by kibble across the kitchen for her to chase down. She never tired of it. Mousey is a much better long term solution.
When Todd gets into position for the next word, it is so adorable. He's seems to be thinking about what's next to do or say. It is a very sweet way to communicate with his Dad. He is a very attentive kitty. Thank you for the wonderful video.
It is just that. Todd stops to think, what he would like to say, and how to communicate it through. Nothing is automatic only. He really thinks things through.
If only we had these in the 60s and 70s, it would have blown my biologist dad’s mind! He thought children were dumb, much less pets! ( bless him though, he still had an affinity for animals and seeing something like this would have blown his mind in a positive way I think)
I love the way Todd looks up at Dad so adoringly during brush and pets. He has Dad well trained! Seriously, these videos are some of the sweetest things on the internet! How on earth does Dad get any work done?!?!
Oh well, dad has done a lot of work for Todd such as brushing, sleep-cuddling, playing, etcetera as per Todd's demands of which dad oftentimes can't say NO to his adorable baby. Todd is making his dad as his full time assistant or a butler.
Love watching you and Todd. I've noticed in the more recent videos and especially in this one that Todd seems to be limping on his front paws. It could easily be caused by the angle of the camera and not an actual issue with Todd but I wanted to point it out to you. I had a cat who developed arthritis in his shoulders when he was still fairly young. Early intervention is key for quality of life over the years. Thank you for your channel! It's wonderful to have something to watch that is only about love and empathy.
I watch your videos and always think it but don't always put a comment, but I just think you're such a wonderful pet owner! You're very considerate of each of the cats and treat them as individuals with their own personalities and preferences. I have a lot of respect for the care and kindness you show them.
Glamour cracks me ;up! She always sounds a tad snooty, but when she gave you that thank you lick, I'm pretty sure that was supposed to be THE END. Cuz her tone changed immediately when you touched her again. Persnickity little girl!!! And Todd just melts when you touch him, it's adorable.
Glamour reminds me of my little tortoiseshell girl. She’s the smallest of my three cats, but she keeps her two adopted brothers in line through sheer force of personality. Woe betide them if they look in her direction or breathe in her airspace when she’s in a mood! 😂
Todd is amazing about being brushed, a total dream. I don't think he felt he was "All done" though. I love Glamour, with all her chatting and cattitude. I agree about girls demanding more respect re being touched, my little female can have her "Fluff you" moments as well. She's not much of a brush fan either, but it has to be done to avoid mats so I get in a few sweeps where I can. I wish she shared Todd's opinion of brush time.
Todd does understand time things very well. And he remembers what has been promised to be done, and when.... And he reminds you, in a remote incident you somehow might forget. 😄⌚❤
Thank you for demonstrating the Mousey for us! I got a pack of those for my boy a few weeks ago, and it works amazingly at keeping him from eating too fast. Hope y'all have an amazing day!
I had a cat named Suzie she loved to be brushed she would roll over and over to brushed every where including her belly. She was a lot like Todd . She liked it so much that both of my arms would be aching and I had to stop. Wendy loves to be brushed but not her belly unless she is standing on all fours. She’s like Glamour a talker. 😹😂♥️🥰😘😻
right when you said Handsome boy, I was just thinking how handsome Todd is!! Todd said afternoon, so what's your problem, Dad!?! Start brushing!! So funny!
I am really enjoying the beautiful interaction with Todd and Dad.. I am also on the lookout for when Todd pushes his buttons with back feet since it’s on purpose. So smart ❤
Hi Dad! I just ran Glamour’s responses to your questions thru my new cat translator. When you asked Glamour if you could touch her… she said “YES”. And when you asked her if she wanted to be brushed she said “YES I’d love a brush but not as HARD as TODD thanks”.
I noticed today Tood made sure his mousey was not in Glamour’s face. He did not want that scolding. I love to see how carefully Todd watches you to see if you are listening. He also seems to show no jealousy when Dad pays attention to Glamour right in the middle of his brushing. What a lover! Todd sure knows his time and likes to schedule his attentions from Dad. Does Todd know about weekends? Like some days Dad is home all day, and afternoons are available for scheduling?
My cats always knew when it was time for me to go to bed. They would jump off the couch and sit staring at me until I asked them if it was time for bed. Then they would turn and walk towards the bedroom. I had each of them at different times in my life and they both kept me on schedule!
I've had allergies since I was a kid... something my dad came up with was using menthol cough drops to clear his sinuses at night, kept a dish with them next to their bed. I though that was just brilliant, so I now have them next to my reading chair, next to my bed, and some in the hall closet to put in my pockets on the way out the door when I'm running errands (mine are sugar-free menthol).
That moment you said thank you to Glamour for her lick and asked if she's done petting, you see Todd looking at you and thinking: Oh but you may continue on me❤❤❤ no problem Dad! So cute!
My longhair Spike was a little chonky in middle age. He thinned down as he got older. Todd will too. They are like us. Such a beautiful cat. I love Glamour too and her vocalizations. Todd speaks with the board, I never hear him vocalize.
Aww, never get enough of Todd and you. Can't wait till you put out your calendar. Hope you also include little spicy Glamour, and shy little Paulie. What a great family. 🙂
I was surprised how long he stayed still for the brushing. For those who stay still, I get it that it's just not long enough. When I go to massage therapy, I definitely want it to be longer than 3 minutes or so. LOL
Don't know if you saw it, but Todd ran to meet you coming up the stairs. He cherishes his time with you. It speaks well of you as a person, and a cat daddy.
Todd is walking a bit different than his normal, he might be a little sore. Possibly the weather change, makes us all a little achey, or maybe he was fighting with the others, you did say there was a lot of fur up there this morning. If he's sore it could be why he wanted more brush and pets because it is soothing and feels good.
New to the channel. You have 3 cats, why did you pick Todd to learn the language buttons? Cat personality? We only currently have one cat. At one time we had 4 but they slowly died of old age. The current cat is a hurricane rescue from 2017. Something I learn from a previous cat is if you talk to them some cats they talk back, and they make their meows sound different depending on what they want. This last cat was very quiet at first didn't even meow. My mistake for talking to her. She is So Vocal now. 😊
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks Okay, makes sense. Of all the cats we have had since I was little only the tortoise shell and the calico cats have been the most vocal. They understand and take instructions. Glad I found your channel. Todd is a Great Cat!
Can you Imagine How "Things might have Gone Down," if these FluentPet buttons had been Readily Available in ancient Egypt, when the Goddess Bast was 'Highly Respected?' (Todd's Dad would have been "permitted/required" to wear Todd's brush down to short nubbins.)
Thank you, I appreciate you looking out for Todd. Todd has a chronic medical condition which can also affect his balance. You may see him appear to limp, wobble, or even trip. Todd does not land on all four feet like most cats if he falls. Todd cannot stand up on his back legs for more than a second or two before he falls over. That is why you will see me reach down and grab him so fast when he stands to ask to be picked up; if I don’t get to him in time, he falls over. What you are seeing is normal behavior for Todd.
Have you tried sleeping with an air purifier in your room? I was questioning the one my partner brought home because I get very stuffy. You have a rare little cat with Todd. He's an "Old Soul" and I'm sure you know how lucky you are that he chose you to be Dad.
There are no "old souls."
Todd liked sniffing Glamours scent on your hands ..the nearest he can get to her 🤣😂🤣
Thank you for loving each other so well. It sets a good example for the rest of us in the world.
The loving way Todd looks at you when you brush him is so adorable. All the cats are so cute 🥰

I always feel sorry for Todd when Glamour gives him a hard time for just being too close, then she hisses at him - OMG what a sweet boy ❤
I called one of my cats a “Felinious Fussbudgetous” when she would not stop whining that we wouldn’t let her go outside.
My grandma and mom used the word "fussbudget".

I have noticed Todd limping as well and have been wondering...
I recall in previous videos Dad explaining that Todd has balance issues that the vet is aware of and is careful not to overdo Todd’s playing

Todd is so sweet. I can't believe he wants so much brushing. My cats don't care for too much brushing. It quickly devolves into attack mode, so...
