In case someone is wondering, the iPad Pro 11” with the Magic Keyboard attached does fit in the sleeve. I was also able to put inside a Nintendo Switch OLED + a Nintendo Switch Lite and a powerbank plus cords. It is small but does fit enough. I’ve also use it to fit my Full Frame camera (Lumix S5 + kit lens + 50mm 1.8) it does offer some kind of protection but overall, is a great bag.
Wow, im sold! Well, almost! Ive been searching for hours for small backpacks because I have a cheapo with one arm sling that drives me insane. I cant believe how hard it is to find decent reviews or top 10's for something of this size, well done amazing review and keep it up!
In case Dutch people are wondering: Yes! a Dopper fits on the outside left (stretchy) water bottle pocket. It does stick out a bit, but it's fine (zo lang je niet de hele tijd ondersteboven hangt ;-) ).
i bought the bag before watching this review, but this is fantastic! genuine in pointing out the good and the bad, you actually used the bag so speak from experience, and the video itself is a good length! finally i understand what the two bottle pockets are and what can be put in the teeny tiny one. thank you! subscribed!
I love this backpack, it’s perfect for work because it fits my iPad or Kindle just fine as well as my water bottle in the interior. I use side pockets for hand sanitizers, and the front zipper pocket for my phone. I wouldn’t mind getting another one in a different color 😊
Thank you so much for doing this review! It was exactly what I needed to feel good about having just purchased one online sight unseen hahaha Very informative, great quality video!
I use this as my fishing bag for when i bank fish. Its absolutely perfect for run n gun fishing. Throw some plastic bait packages, small tackle boxes in there along with my yeti, works great. Then turn around and use it for a hike at a state park. Its not necessarily for just females.
This review by Kristine ultimately helped me make the decision to purchase the Borealis Mini. I can fit my iPad 11 Pro with the Magic Keyboard into the compartment sleeve inside with the pencil. I can also fit my Owala 24 oz bottle inside next to two Fjallraven Kanken Gear pockets to separate smaller items like medications, small emergency kit with some bandaids, alcohol wipes, anti bac ointment in one bag and a small sunscreen, oil blotter, toothpicks, chapstick, eye glass cleaner wipes in the other. Then the mesh pocket inside I have my keys leashed to it then keep my passport/wallet in there. The outside front pocket I like to keep my multi-tool, edc mini flashlight, hydration packets, and snack bars. The two mini pockets on the sides I keep a 6 oz bottle of bug spray and the other a small pack of tissues.
its so cuteee, and this channel is so bad for my bank account lol i'd just find the water bottle pocket annoying , recently i picket up a Kombucha drink that came in a glass bottle that was skinny and has saved the bottle for use in smaller bags
I think I might buy this to replace my mini jansport bag 😭 the jansport bag is literally bulging wherever I carry anything and it doesn’t have space for my iPad
Cute. Too small for me. But I like the idea. I think the exterior pocket on the Recon would work very well in this mini style. I think that would be much more useful than the bungee cord system.
The bungee is really convenient for holding a packable down jacket, hoodie, rain jacket, etc if the weather changes when you’re out. I didn’t think I’d use it much but there’s been several times where I get overheated walking around and stuff my coat in there. Normally if you want to be able to fit your coat in a mini bag you have to basically leave it empty but the bungee allows you to pack it like you normally would and still hold a jacket if needed.
@@AT-sx2jp makes sense. I didn’t think I was going to be a huge fan of the kangaroo pouch on the Recon. But my wife uses that for everything under the sun. She just walks up behind me and either puts stuff in or takes stuff out of it. It’s a bit like being Mr. Potato Head. It has become like snack central whenever we hike or like one of those baskets that people keep by their front door where they just drop off a bunch of assorted things they have accumulated while they were out 😂
I wish this bag was just a lil bigger to fit a macbook pro 13. It would be my perfect daily driver for when I don't want to use a purse. I love TNF and my borealis classic has been with me for years since college.
does the main compartment in the “tablet sleeve” area have a hole for a water bladder hose? or hooks to hold up the bladder? I know this is a feature of the larger borealis but not sure on the mini
Is this pack unisex or womens? -because about 3 months ago when i bought this pack for myself It was advertised and modeled on women. My body is a small frame and all the mens packs ive tried on are all way to long in the torso. I just recently seen this same pack advertised Borealis Mini (mens), so that would mean the straps are more stright than curved. Any further info to confirm this would be great.
I would just use a tiny carabiner and hook it to the many available loops on the pack and connect the helmet strap to that, simple. I find other packs that have "that" function to be more of a gimmick.
City girl trying to advice on a nature hiking bag? You don't seems to realize how annoying a hat or other item hanging like that is or how dangerous it is when things can snag so easily. In a city you don't really have many snagging issues, but trees and nature locations just doesn't conform to straight lines and designer walkways. While the wire holder is close to body, it's still a hell of a location to get snagged as you have no way to "see" or easily free yourself.
“Call search and rescue, a tree branch snagged my hat, which is loosely attached to my backpack via elastic cord. I cannot free myself and fear this might be the end. I am in NATURE, you city folk wouldn’t understand, there’s no designer walkways to reach me.”
Finally, someone showing examples of people wearing them. To top it off, with a male and female. Awesome.

I was looking for this helpful information, thx so much❤
Awesome to see this bag reviewed - I've used it intermittently since it was released, it's just so good for a tiny bag!
Thanks for watching! 😃

My wife and I love it. I wish the straps were just a little longer. I can't get hers on and off easily. Cheers.

what are some other back packs that are the same size?
I use this bag as my gym bag and it easily holds my 32oz Nalgene bottle inside the main compartment.
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙

Great channel, comprehensive reviews - thank you!
Thank you, for having a guy that's 6'1'' model the backpack. I'm 6'1'', and It's difficult to guess how the bag looks on a tall person.
Hi! great review, but does a 12.9 i pad pro fit?
Thats what im wondering
Just got mine thanks I used your review for info
I think I might buy this to replace my mini jansport bag 😭 the jansport bag is literally bulging wherever I carry anything and it doesn’t have space for my iPad
I love the carry handle, I wish all bags had that... 👍
any information on PFAS / PFOS on these items ?
My partner loves this backpack!
Can it be worn as a sling? I want it to be perceived as personal item in the airport.
Hi, I was wondering if a 13 inch macbook pro would fit into the bag? Please let me know:)
Such a cute little backpack. Very nice review :)
Thanks for watching! 😃

Could you guys do a video on fading / durability difference between polyester and nylon backpacks?
Can i fit ipad pro 12.9 in ?

basically they have to do a Recon Mini, too :D

Ahhhhhhh thank you! Can you review the Baboon to the Moon backpack mini as well? :)
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.

Wondering if it can sit up on its own when it’s full? (Not laying on its side)
Think this would hold a 14" Mac Book pro. No case just the LT
Would a 13inch MacBook Pro fit?
I'm wondering that as well
No
Great review, thanks

What color is it?
this works pretty good as a kid's backpack as well just saying... that is what I got it for.
where did you found the Navy blu one? I can't find it, neither on the official site.
does the main compartment in the “tablet sleeve” area have a hole for a water bladder hose? or hooks to hold up the bladder? I know this is a feature of the larger borealis but not sure on the mini
Hello, can put laptop in the bag? such as macbook pro 2021

Does it fit a 24oz hydro flask?
@@alison.222 I can’t- i can’t find the play button I’m looking everywhere
@@carolynchen317 no, it doesn’t fit the hydroflask. it can barely fit a 12oz water bottle👍
Is this bag hydration bladder compatible?
Just got one. Didn’t want a big back. As I only wanted one for gym and my walk to gym.
Can we put a bike helmet in the strings? Are they made for this at all? Never saw anyone show it but I thought it was mean't for it.
I would just use a tiny carabiner and hook it to the many available loops on the pack and connect the helmet strap to that, simple. I find other packs that have "that" function to be more of a gimmick.
Im looking for something just a bit bigger than this backpack. Any recommendations?
Kanken mini
Is it for men aswell ?
yes
I can see kids starting grade school wearing one
Perfect Backpack
perfext size

Nice Brand - The North Face
obsessed with this girl she seems so sweet! I want to use this bag for school but i'm not sure it'll be big enough, can anyone confirm?
It depends on what you'll need to bring, Ashlyn!
@@PackHacker2 do you think i could fit an 11 inch notebook?
@@ashlynsoswagyes, it will. I have one of these bags and my iPad Pro 11 inch does fit. Though I usually carry my iPad mini 6 because it’s lighter.
Certainly too good for carry-on dimensions :-)
Okay, you’re pretty slim. Have any plus sized women tried this? I’m wondering if the straps are long enough
Is this a kid bag?
It can be 😃
It's like a kid backpack used by adults
It’s a smaller backpack. Anyone can use it. Not everyone wants a giant backpack for everyday carry

Common sense would tell you this is not the bag for running through a forest of your choice
