If you have issues with sims walking off, turn off autonomy before you begin your photo shoot

Go to your settings, click game options, find and click on Gameplay, and lastly find Autonomy and click off.
If it says full, that means the sims still have a mind of their own and will do whatever they want to do 😒 but when you turn it off, you have full control over them.

What fabulous timing - I'm literally sitting here choosing wedding outfits for my founder's wedding (the one I'm playing in your save file) thinking about whether or not to try poses for wedding pictures - I saw you using some on twitch, but I've never used them and thought they looked complicated. And just as I'm doing that, Discord beeps me about this video. Thank you for your focused, to-the-point tutorials - so helpful when so many videos take three times as long to say half as much.

Same!! I’m just obsessed with it and I keep using them 🤭 And yeah I painted my background myself (with help of my sister). It was an early COVID project because when I started working from home the white wall got depressing really quickly hahaha

@@milio4256 aaah thank you 🥰 If you don’t have the energy in 1 sitting you could always consider doing it bit by bit! We drew out the whole design with pencil first so you could color it in like a color book over time whenever energy finds you!

Thank you so much for this video, I think I will take your advice in relation to the accessories that the sims use in the poses to leave them out at the moment until I am confident in what I am doing. It's good to watch how you take different poses and where you can obtain them, I do have a lot of Katverse Poses they are i think easy since there are only either one person or two.

you could also just skip the tripod download by tapping 'tab' to hide the UI when you want to take a screenshot; just pose your sims then pause the game before tabbing to shoot lol [ i already take pictures like this without pose packs ]
That is great for taking screenshots outside of the game but the tripod is for when you want to take pictures in game that you can then hang up on your sims walls! They serve two different purposes ☺️
I love this tutorial, thank you for sharing! If you dont mind me asking a silly question: is there a major difference between just taking a screen shot in the game as opposed to using an actual camera in the game? Is the quality of photo different? I am mostly hoping to use the images online outside of the game, like on Instagram.
Hiii! Oh that’s a good question! So the main difference is that the in game photos you can actually put up on the walls of your house and decorate with them while screenshots are better for sharing outside of your game. So if depends what you want to use it for! ☺️
I haven't tried using any poses yet, mostly it seemed finicky and I didn't want to download more mods. But, I'd like to have some cute toddler poses. I've seen some used by CC collections..

The only thing I have as a person who never did this...and is learning poses.... where do the pictures go after you take them especially with the tripod if you are not selecting a sim to take the photo?

I tried following your instructions but everytime I openned my game it kept saying the Pose Player mod file was corrupted & wouldn't allow me to open my game. I tried 2 different ways to download & unzip the Pose Player mod & each time it said the same thing. Finally I just removed all the folders/files & pretty much gave up
That’s because you’re installing an older version of the files. I absolutely agree that the version naming/download pages are not super clear but I know the most recent one is working and when you have an older version this happens. I hope it works out for you and I’m sorry it’s such a hassle!!

Hey! I can do my best do help you, it’s always a challenge to do it in writing without me seeing your game but let’s give it a go!
1) You can or can’t see the teleporter?
2) Are mods and CC turned on in your game settings?
3) are all the files unzipped before placing them in your mods folder?
4) Are all mods max 1 folder deep and all cc (the teleporter) max 3 folders deep?
5) Can you try explain as much as possible what doesn’t work? The more details I have the better I can help!! ☺️

When I downloaded the mod and put it in my mods folder it said it was corrupted
Then you most likely downloaded an older version, they’ve had that issue unfortunately. Make sure you download the latest version of the mod and unzip it and then it should work
I thought this was a Blender tutorial xD Well if you do custom animations, I would like a tutorial for that.
haha yeah that will probably never happen because I have absolutely NO clue how to work blender 🤭😂 I rely heavily on other very talented people for that hahaha

Hi! Great video but I do have a question. If I want to do this but am on a lot without the ability to build on it, i.e - the jungle in Salvadora, how would I place these?
unfortunately you can’t without adding more mods. You could use the TOOL mod to place items outside of the lot border but I would like to mention that is a very tedious process unless you’re already very familiar with TOOL. It’s not impossible though (:

The tripod is actually not from the mod - it's in the game and its from the Moschino pack!
hey, i got a question when i download the poseplay mod the game keep crashing even tho i re-install the mods multiple time do you know how to fixed it?

the teleporter isnt appearing in build mode for me, not really sure why?
Have you installed the mods correctly? (downloaded all the files, made sure to unzip them? etc?) (:
The poses I got were Rar files n not package any way to fix those pose packs to change em to packages or mod friendly to work
You need to unzip them! .rar is basically the same as a .zip file. On windows 11 you can do it without installing any tools and on windows 10 you can install a tool called 7-zip. This will allow you to unzip/unpack those files and then you should have a folder with .package files!!

I know I'm late with this comment but the pose player is not working for me, I've tried to download it again but when I click on my sim I don't get the option op choosing a pose
I’ve heard other people mentioning something similar in the comments. I’m not sure what would be causing it. I know it still works for me but that doesn’t mean it automatically also works for everyone 😅 Just to check, have you installed the mod correctly? (unzipped file, not more than 1 folder deep). I’m assuming you have but it’s the only thing I can think of now!
my sim isn't able to teleport in the statue :((( and i think i don't see the pose player mods T.T but i follow all your passages
Hmm that sounds frustrating! As i'm not the creator of the statue/teleport mod I'm not sure if there are bugs and how to fix them. If the mod is not working as it normally should then the best thing would be to see if the creator has posted anything about it being broken or known bugs. Some modders even offer a way to report bugs. I hope you get it sorted out!
hey, how do i know which pose to choose within the pose pack?
Most poses have little pictures and within a pose set (if there are multiple sims in one pose) they are labeled and numbered (like: adult 1, adult 2, toddler 1, infant 1 etc)

Hi! Thanks for liking the video, I'm so glad about that! I would not know why the teleport mod doesn't work unfortunately. The only thing I can imagine is that the recent update broke the mod and that you need to wait for an update. I have not used it myself but I know a lot of mods that use pop up menus broke so that might be the case here... I hope you figure it out!! 🩷
It’s not working when I unzip and put it in the folder mod, my sims game say error and won’t start until that folder is removed?
I heard people had the same error, make sure you download the 2023 version of the mod because the outdated versions give the error. I updated all download links but for some reason some people still end up on the old pages. Gotta love the mod the sims website 😅 But the newest version should no longer have this error!

Sounds like you might have downloaded the right files but not install them correctly. Have you installed mods before in your game?

Hey! I don't have original Sims and for some reason the teleport and the poses don't want to work either. Can this be improved somehow? The package file is in the mods folder.
Can you explain what you mean by “i don’t have original sims?”, I’m a little confused to what you mean by that. Also this video is simply a tutorial, I did not make the mod so I’m not in a place to improve anything 😅 I would like to help you but I’m not really sure what you’d need right now

I downloaded the teleport mod it is the latest update, unzip it and put it in my folder. For some reason it won’t process. Once my mods process it shows a checkmark. I’m not sure what to do.

Have you made sure to install the mod correctly? (not more than one folder deep, unzipped, all the files together, latest version of the mod?)

First of all I would delete that specific pose pack right away, it’s definitely not supposed to do that. Secondly you can repair your sims game through the EA app. I would also back up your save files!
I did everything you said, however the sims four said the file is corrupt, and my game wouldn’t start unless I removed it

I think someone who commented in this video before had the same issue. The fix was to go back to their page (another link than I have here, I’ll update it later) and find the 2023 version. apparently their poses broke and they updated it. I hope that helps!!! 🩵

I actually figured out the problem!
Don’t put the __MACOSX file or anything in it in your game. thats the corrupt file thats not working
My pose options aren’t coming up 😭😭😭
Then it’s most likely because you installed the mod wrong (unzipped, within too many folders etc). If that is really not the case make sure you have the latest version of the mod!
My sims won’t stay together when teleporting! How do I fix this??

After I pose them the Love camera/photo's won't work, anyone know why?
That’s probably because you’re trying to use the in game camera that needs to be controlled by a sim but since they are posing they cannot use it. You either have to add a random sim to your household to be a photographer or use the camera mod I mention in this video. Hope that makes sense! 🧡

i was wonder if anyone knew how to fix this or is having the same issue but everytime i download the andrew's pose pack it tells me the file is curropted and i need to get rid of it now im not sure if they just haven't updated the file or im just not downloading it right i do extract the files when i download it.
What is the file type? Is it a .zip or .rar? And also, how many folders deep do you place it? Like organization wise in your mods folder is it more than 3 folders deep? :)
@@Rosannatxt i use winrar and i extract the files for it i have my mods folder and then i extract in in my pose folder and it saids its curropted

@@Gboneswag hmmm the only time I've had that was when the CC I tried to put into my game was more than 3 folders deep. Maybe placing them in a different folder could help? If you unzip the folder maybe taking the poses out of the unzipped folder and placing them in another one less levels deep could help? Otherwise I have no idea what it could be :(
i cannot find any guides for where to place the tripod?? when i use the 360 it is so hard to get the sims in shot
You just place the tripod like you would in irl situations - in front of your sims a couple of steps away from them. I’m not sure what you mean with the 360? (:

I’m not sure if you can but you would have to download specific poses with cats in it! Maybe they exist! :)

Hii, this may not be the best place for this but my base game worlds just vanished from my game and I have no idea what the h*** happened 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

I have better exceptions and it doesn’t say anything, I updated all my mods after the last game patch, I took all of them out of the game and still nothing. I don’t know if maybe it’s a tray item but I can’t download tray importer and I don’t know how else to check
Hey! I’m sorry to hear that sounds terrible! I would highly suggest taking our mods > deleting the localthumbnailcache.package (can be found in your sims 4 folder) > repair the game. This should fix things. If they are not fixed, you should definitely reach out to EA! Hope this helps though 🧡

That’s because from the same website you need to download both the pose player and the statue, you have to scroll. They used to be separate pages but I believe they got merged!

Yea the stupid website tried to pretend it was my virus and threat protection services saying that I had 5 dangerous viruses and to give me credit card info to get rid of it so I’m glad I left the website and blocked it

Are you using better build buy? Because in that case CC might be turned off and you might not find it because of that. Otherwise do you maybe have cc off in game? Can you see that the file is in your mods folder? :) Just checking some things to see if I can help you

@@jenguqio when you're teleporting them - do you have the game on pause or play? Because sims will not teleport there until the game is running. Next to that - did you check and make sure to download the 2023 version of the mod. I know older versions are broken. I hope any of these things help! Otherwise I'm afraid I cannot help you and the best bet would be to see if you can contact the creator of the mod!

Hey! I heard this from multiple people. Apparently there is a newer version available which I didn’t know of before making this video. Some people in the comments have mentioned they fixed it by downloading the 2023 version! 😊

So, the updated Anderw pose player works now it was my poses that are outdated I believe since I took them out and now the player works. So just wanted to let others know it's probably your poses that need to be re downloaded or updated ect. At least that was my experience. :)
Thanks for the video, but i wonder why they not just same program, script, or whatever it is like Wickedwhims animation. Its a lot simple. No need to use that statue thing whatsoever.
I have no idea, I''m sure there must be a reason that they do it like this but I'm not code savy enough to understand how it works exactly. Since no one has ever made a better version I'm guessing it's a good reason. But I agree with you, that would be pretty great! Would save a lot of time!
