FLOAT fishing For BASS With LIVE PRAWN Over Some INCREDIBLE Ground - Sea Fishing UK

Float fishing for bass is so under rated and its a technique I just love to use, especially with a live bait below it.
In our latest adventure we fish a live prawn under a 23gram float, fishing around and over some Lush ground out on my Kayak on Jerseys South East Coast.
The Ground is Mixed, Sand bays, Kelp beds and Moon like Rock Formation above and below the surface.
A great few hours spent, learning and living!

This spots look like the spots I found in preparation for my summer holiday.
I thought for reducing the amout of tackle to bring such big floats and weights instead of the surfcasting rods and fish with my spinning rod ( 15-47g)

I never thought about trying that pontoon for bait. Is the general public allowed down there or did you have to ask permission? I might give it a try for an outing this week

All the pontoons are fine to get bait on. Never had an issue. Just not the pontoon where the commercial boats are inside the elizebeth Mariana

What casting weight it your rod bud. Is it for spinning for chucking a bait out. Be nice to know these things before I point you in the direction of a reel
