So they are going to announce in mid January what the resolution is going to be. Which means they do not know what it’s going to be as of now and are hoping to have it figured out by mid January to be able to do something in February. Sounds more like a pipe dream than a plan though.
I have a cf8 and the compensation amount i have been promised is 299euros. Maybe the compensation is somehow tied with how long have you owned the bike. If they develop a smaller battery for the bike then i'm going to try to return it because the huge 900wh battery was mainly the reason i bought it.
I’m watching your videos from Spain, thanks for the information. I have the same bike CF7 you have, same color 😅. I’ll try to claim the refund and wait what happens. I came from surgury and need the bike for my recovery, so I hope we have an early solution! Thanks for update!!!
Just as a data point - I have asked for a refund or trade and was told Canyon could not accommodate such a request at this time. Additionally, I have identified a crack in one of 2 batteries that were clear up until a week ago. Good times for sure.
Man this is a tough situation. I ended up buying a new e bike. I got the Scor 180/190 freeride e bike from the path bike shop in So Cal,Bosch motor top shelf rock Shox. $6500 delivered. I am just going to wait for the new battery I just do not have the heart to hurt canyon. My bike is just too good
I have the cf9 and my battery housing is cracked in 3 places. There are also slight signs of swelling. After photos they are happy for me to dispose of it. I have requested a refund however in the Uk we have a cycle scheme where we can buy the bike through our employer and save paying tax on the bike. Due to this I can have a cash refund but I am waiting confirmation back from canyons Germany counterparts that I can have a replacement bike (obviously a different model) or a voucher to use for a future bike from them.
They rejected my request, despite pointing out that I have a medical condition and that I need to use an E bike, I find being without bike I can ride with my group of friends socially isolating. I spent two weeks explaining and being told by Canyon that they were escalating my request through the customer care system and then just stated no.
Really hoping they give us new batteries, I love my Torque On!

Makes one wonder for sure!

I think you are right, and I agree with your logic on return. Thanks for the comment.

@@Lmc_Luarca Hello in Spain. You’re welcome, and thanks for watching.
So they want to pay LESS than a Dollar a day for you to be deprived of your Bike you spent $7500 on?!! Not good.
Class action lawsuit is how you get through to some companies sometimes.

Sorry to hear. They’re making it tough.
Do you think it cracked while just resting in the bike or was it being used or charge (if you don't mind sharing).

That looks like a sweet ride ...and your back rolling again! As I said before - the Bosch system is rock solid so great choice. Enjoy.
@ Thanks dude👊👊

@@Birdman393That is the first I have heard of someone noticing swelling. Thanks for sharing.

I’m sorry to hear that.
