  • Hi, today I will engrave an AI image on to a 10x10cm white ceramic tile, I will be using TiO2 (Titanium Dioxide) applied using an airbrush, all will be done using the Ortur laser master 3LE 10W machine, I use TiO2 to get great looking grayscale shades and a really long-lasting finish on my tiles & plates, this is the best way to get that extra sharp, clean & crisp finish to your work, and to amaze your family, friends or customers with the final results. #laser master 3

      @lightworkz61  Год назад

      Hi & thanks ;) I mix Tio2 with standard thinners, 1 teaspoon Tio2 with 3 teaspoons of thinners (3to1), you need to mix it well it for about 30 seconds, you will need the consistency of milk to use it with an airbrush and this stuff dried super-fast, I bought a cheap airbrush from eBay with built-in compressor, and it works great. link below ;)
      I hope this has helped, thanks ;)

    Hi and thanks, it's cool. I didn't really understand it a bit. this is a ceramic tile. and you just sprayed it with white tio2?

    • @lightworkz61
      @lightworkz61  5 месяцев назад +2

      Hi & thanks, yes it's a white ceramic tile and sprayed with a mixture of Tio2 & thinners, just a light coating, to take away the shine from the tile, the Tio2 will let the laser beam burn into the ceramic coating and make a permanent mark on the tile ;) many thanks for the comment.

    Do you have any idea if this tile is fired in a ceramic kiln to 800 C then the black will stay and not burn away? Many thanks in advance

      Hi & thanks, Hmmm now that a good question my friend, to be honest I have no idea, I do know that I can't scratch it off, I have one I engraved almost 2 years ago, it's been in the dishwasher hundreds of times and still looks just as black, but as for 800c in a kiln I just don't know, sorry.

      Hi, I have ceramic tiles that I engraved over 1yr ago and they still look the same, I have washed them in the dishwasher hundreds of times and they are still looking good, also the design does not scratch off, I tried with my knife blade, didn't touch it ;) Thanks for the comment.

      Hi & thanks ;) the bird design was made using Leonardo AI, then in lightburn play with gamma & contrast till your happy with the way it looks, then follow my process to engrave it:
      Spray tile with Tio2, engrave then clean up just like in my video ;) speed and power will depend on your machine ;) Thanks.

    Amazing ! What type of laser do you recommend ? LU2-2 1.6W, LU2-4-SF 5.5W, LU2-4-LF 5.5W, LU2-10A 10W, LU3-20A 20W. What differences would this make, so that I understand correctly.

    • @lightworkz61
      @lightworkz61  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi & thanks ;) Ok as for the laser, well I have the LM3 10w and the LM3 LE 20w the LM3 LE is a bit cheaper and to be totally honest it's better than the standard LM3, if you go for the LM2 LE and the 20w module then you don't need the extra control board, as the LE has a newer main board than the LM 3, so I would recommend the LM3 LE + 20w + air assist, please note that the 20w requires an air assist which has to be running every time you use the laser or you will burn out the window lens in less than a month, believe me I know. As for the difference then it all comes down to power, with the 20w you can run jobs faster using lower power settings, as a bonus the dot size on the 20w is finally square and is .08x.08 so you will get more detail in your engravings ;) I hope this has helped you, if you have any questions just drop me a msg here or on FB.
      Thanks.

      @@lightworkz61 Hi! Thank you for the proposal ;) So, taking into account the budget that I want to devote to it to start and the availability on the Ortur website, I am thinking of moving towards the LM2 Pro S2 with the LU-2-10A module, the air pump and the metal enclosure for laser master 2 pro (expensive but I have a cat and for safety it seems interesting to me. Your opinion on this protection?) Do you think it is a good choice to start with? From a price point of view, with the 15% discount from the newsletter and the new year's promotions, I arrive at a total of $778, delivery costs included. Do you think you can get me a better price? And, for this overall price, do you think I should make my choice differently?

    • @lightworkz61
      @lightworkz61  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@Skillken Hi mate, ok I would recommend the LM3 LE (much better build quality than the LM2 S2 Pro) with the LU-2-10w module €338.46 get the air pump €118.91 and build a simple but effective wooden enclosed box with lift up top, a 120mm 12v PC fan for smoke extraction and a 30x30cm sheet of orange laser protection acrylic from amazon to fit in the lid, cost for this should be under €60 also simple enough to build ;) total cost would be around €517.37 depending on the price of wood, hinge, acrylic & PC fan where you live.
