    I've got a Kemerton XL and love it. It has the glove box instead of cup holders which I thought I'd mind but I bought a muggi which is great. I just use that on the floor which works absolutely fine and I've got the extra storage that the glove box gives me too 😊

    Hi Mike and Kirsty. Nice van, but not keen on the interior. I think your van has a much better layout. Thanks for sharing.

    That has everything Kirsty wants, sockets, sockets and more sockets 😂, and dont get me started on the pockets, like the moveable sink think thats a good idea, i also think the dinette bed is a good idea, but im not sure I'd sacrifice rear bed space though, as you say transverse only, we like the way we can set up to sleep width ways or lengths ways, might not sound like much but it can save you getting your leveling ramps out, say for instance getting off a ferry late and arriving in the dark, its simply more convenient to have a choice, great worktop space and overall a lovely van, another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍.

      Hi Stephen , kirsty and her sockets 😂 yes we did like the size of the front dinette and the kitchen top space but not too sure about a transverse bed , definitely a great space saver for a larger upfront area but we like to lay longways and not have climb over each other ,but ideal having the option to make both beds up and have 1 each on an argument day 😂
      cheers guys have a great trip

    A really lovely van and well built, but the lack of opening windows is a bit of a shame TBH, love Auto sleepers though, this one and Kingham are both superb vans, nice video, take care, Trev Debz and Tyler

    We have just swapped the cup holders out for a central glove box, we missed having it and didn’t use the cup holders, also the cup holder is so low down it takes away valuable space for stretching your feet out. The swap video is out on Thursday actually. As for the Fairford it’s probably the least favourable of the Auto Sleepers for me, apart from being to tall to sleep across I prefer the Warwick XL or the Kingham, the windows do look good but lack of ventilation would bother me and I bet they suffer from condensation…..

    • @TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel
      @TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel  7 месяцев назад

      Mixed comments from this re glovebox or cup holders, most going for the glovebox option like you , each to their own i suppose , but definitely heard people say about them being too low , i liked the idea of the spacious dinette and kitchen top space on that fairford but same here not so sure about the windows in winter

    We really, really wanted cup holders in our next van. Got our next van, complete with said coveted cup holders….and use them to hold glasses / sunglasses….not cups. 😂 😂 Rach & Dave

    Nice review Mike. I have just replaced the centre glove box with the cup holder unit. Bought it off Amazon only took half an hour after watching a couple of RUclips vids. Cost less than a hundred pounds. Very pleased with it.

    Hi Mike & Kirsty, I maintain that your van is ( for me ) the best layout and as for cup holders: I prefer the extra storage that the centre 'glove' box provides. Autosleepers are great vans, all the same. Cheers, Rob

    • @TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel
      @TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel  7 месяцев назад

      Hi rob , we’ve had mixed opinions regarding the Glove box / Cup holders , somebody mentioned the glovebox’s never stay shut properly and that’s so true on our previous vans & inc this one , they have a very weak catch and some opted for the cup holders based on that experience, others have said they are too low to put your drinks in … 🤷🏽‍♂️

      Hi Mike.
      I've had no issues with ours falling open, and I guess it's down to how useful a cup holder would be. We don't need such a feature as we rarely have drinks in the cab, or whilst travelling.
      Have a good week. Cheers, Rob

    Nice vid! The automotive glass does look very sleek but it isn’t insulated at all. Double glazed Moho windows are much warmer and you can open them.

    • @TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel
      @TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel  7 месяцев назад

      yes they look really nice with those windows , they have what they call “ athermic glass “ i think it’s a stick on film that offers a degree of insulation, be interesting to hear from owners views with regards to winter warmth etc
      thanks for watching and commenting

    We had a Warwick XL. The glass looks cool until someone had a pee right by our van cos they didn't know we were inside 😂
    We found it struggled to maintain temperature in the winter and was very hot in the summer. Gone back to a compact motorhome, love it 😊

      @petejones4698 we went for a 7m motorhome with fixed beds at the back. The advantage is it's no wider than a campervan unlike most motorhomes.

      @@TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel had to tell you this story Mike, we we're wild camping in a layby, quite road middle of nowhere in North Wales, about 7 year ago, there was a car parked behind us (older women gone walking) anyway she came back and started looking around our van peering in through the windows (privacy glass was so good she couldn't see us inside) we had the giggles didn't know what she was doing, she obviously couldn't see us the other side of the glass and she tooted down behind our van for a wee, we we're in fit's of laughter (she never had a clue we were about 2 foot away ha ha then she casually got in her car and disappeared.
      Just thought I'd share that one with you both ha ha xx

  • @MotorhomeTrio

    I wouldn’t bother with the cup holder centre console, we have it in ours & I’m taking it out to put a glove box back in hopefully, firstly the cup holders are too low down and secondly you lose all that handy space to tuck things away. It also sticks out into the cab floor. Get a couple of clip on air vent cup holders instead and save yourself money as well as keeping that handy storage. The centre cup holder is a really rubbish solution just to obtain 2 cup holders.

    • @TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel
      @TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel  7 месяцев назад +1

      Very interesting to know and thanks for your advice , somebody did say to us a while back you have to lean down too far to put your drink in the holder , but others have not used their glovebox and prefer the cup holders , each to their own i suppose , more food for thought , appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching the video
