I got mine from Amazon today and if you’re a mint in box collector good luck, it was shipped in its original box not a shipping box so there’s tape all over the box and the shipping label was placed directly on the box. It’s a good thing I don’t keep them in the box because that would be a bummer.
The windowless packaging seems to only be on releases not going for traditional retail. This- Amazon exclusive, Bat family 5 pack- Amazon exclusive, Batwoman 3 pack- MTS exclusive. I’m not counting the BAF reissues in the box but those were a little different anyway.
I think they need to re-issue this version of Superman with all the modern articulation updates, put the yellow shield on the back but keep this head cause it’s the head. Folks can use the darker blue version with their pre-52 Justice league, and this brighter blue version with the rest of the Superman family, who have a similar shade of blue.
Think the box because it’s an online exclusive that’s why there’s no window. Other companies sometimes do this when it’s just an online exclusive my only thinking for it

Nice review and I think your channel is the earliest to make a review on latest figures. Keep it up. I missed out on the supes 1000 back then and I also think this one's the best looking supes to date. Thankfully I found a store that sells these two separately. Got my supes 1000 for a decent price.
Agree. The dynamic posing is completely superfluous given you can’t see them in-box. Some of Todd’s decisions are head scratchers for certain. Thanks for the early review. One question, how is the tone of the red “S” in the symbol. I can’t tell in the video if it’s metallic like the old one or not. Thanks
Just as Hasbro is going back to window packaging after losing $$ McFarlane starts phasing it out in multipacks.. Todd will do something amazing then do something stupid.
So I agree on the posed figures in a closed box set but why if you take it all out you don't show everyone the complete fight pose together with the flame effect?

I can tell you there are two main reasons for the all paper packaging minus the plastic clamshell inside. 1. Cost savings 2. Environmental (less plastic) There’s this thing called the European Green Deal that’s coming down the line and they are basically eliminating plastic in packaging, as well as oversized packaging. The EU has promised/pledged to reach climate neutrality by 2050. A lot of the new laws will start to go into action by 2025 I do believe. My company is being hit tremendously hard by this for the products we sell in Europe. Sorry for the lengthy reply but just wanted to provide you some perspective.
I would love to, but I don’t have so many Superman figures. I tend to only collect one or two each character. I am sure one of the other RUclipsrs with awesome complete collections will do this.
Really like both of these figures and I personally think this two pack is worth getting. Atomic Skull looks absolutely sick! Fantastic headsculpt and great reuse of the Lex Luthor body, with just enough new parts. I think his colors look awesome as well! I think the repaint of Action Comics 1000 looks really good! Love the colors! Would've preferred a new base in the pack, instead of that purple repaint of the flames from the White Knight pack, but not a deal breaker. Definitely prefer the window box by far, but as far as I can tell, only the Amazon exclusives are having the plain black windowless boxes.
My Superman's right leg is literally broken at the hip joint. Hanging on by a thread. Not even a fan of the single joint elbows. But, I already think the Hush Superman is the GOAT for McFarlane Supermans so it's not a total loss. And thank GOD my Atomic Skull came out fine. But, this is the second time I've gotten a broken McFarlane figure; the other being my Abyss (yeah, a broke ass $30 figure) where his elbow was just coming off the pin. I don't know if this is a new concern that others are experiencing with McFarlane, but if it is occurring more and more then they really need to swallow pride and spend more on QC, because this is unacceptable.
I'm so excited to finally get a chance of owning Action 1000 Superman! Btws, when you import from Hong Kong, do you pay around MSRP or more? And is shipping crazy expensive?
Look, the price of the figures is similar to Australian RRP, but the shipping is fairly expensive. I only import figures that won’t be released in Australia. If I buy two imported figures, incl shipping it comes to about $60AUD per figure, which is about $40USD. Sometimes more, sometimes less. But collectors gotta collect 😂
He is trying to maintain the prices. I’m grateful for that. Those are 20 bucks figures they are fine. He is selling for cheaper price while others are selling 30, 40 bucks for smaller figures. Sometimes I wish he left the dc brand and Hasbro or Mattel take the line and staring to charge people the double for less. I will love to see that narrative.

I appreciate the channel but you want everything for the same prize when Oil prices are going up and you want him to not reuse molds when everybody else in the market does that. Crazy, you know how much it will cost him to put more paint in a figure? It will cost you the double or the triple. Plastic is super expensive at this time and he is reducing everything that he can because he wants people to have access to his figures. Not all of his fans have the same money that you and I have. The other companies don’t do that at all.
I've been wanting an Atomic Skull in the 6 or 7 inch scale forever. But I'm just not a fan of that design. Looks more like Techno Ghost Rider. Should've just done the JLU cartoon version.

It is essentialy price gouging as I have to pay more for shit I dont want, not to mention his "collector editions" whis is a clear price gouge. (but I do buy those). Not gonna play histwin pack game anymore.
Note: For some reason, I say that Atomic Skull only has single jointed elbows. He definitely has double-joints! Sorry!

Well a lot of people missed out on Supes 1000 and he's like 70 on EBay. So from that standpoint this is win for everyone.
It’s a good pack for those who missed out, for sure. For collectors since year one, this all feels a tiny bit old hat.

I don’t like dynamic posing in general because of the deformation of the mould. But yeah, with no window, it’s completely pointless!
Not sure if you have the Jay Garrick flash. But he’d make a great body for Superman going forward. Hopefully that’s where McFarlane goes next
