    I like seeing how to make my own pattern. It allows me to be so much more creative.

      It's a good skill for people to learn and as I'm not going to create a pattern download for this I figured I'd show everyone how I made it. Also like you said it allows for more creativity 🙂

    Very informative, nicely done, nice speed and good explanations. I am going to give it a try. Thanks, I also have aquick question, after you apply the dye on your strap, you use something to buff it, finish it, it looks like a bone folder, can you tell me, I also bought a fileteuse, kind of scare to use it to do the edges.

    Hello,
    Do you burn back the thread ends?

    • @JHLeather
      @JHLeather  5 лет назад +1

      Hey Doug, not with linen threads as they will burn. If you are using a man-made thread like corespun polyester you can, just be careful not to burn the leather.

    The thread is it Lin Cable Fil Au Chinois? What size was it?

    • @JHLeather
      @JHLeather  4 года назад

      Hello, yes it is lin cable thread. The size depends on what sized stitching you are doing but I generally use the 432 size for mine and I stitch in a fine 7 stitches per inch. Hope that helps. Jo

    Working in inches and using paper and pen for patterns, I am sure the images of Jo are actually her granddaughter :P Nice looking item, thanks for the video.
