Excellent video, thank you ! We bought loquat 3 years ago, it was a very smaill tree, it stayed in pot for one year, growing slowly. But as soon as it was planted in the ground , it started to grow very quickly, despite poor compressed soil. It is about 2 m now, but still no fruits.
I’m sure it won’t be long before it starts to produce fruit. It’s good tasting and very much worth the wait. I’d like to plant mine in the ground but am a bit undecided. I still have a couple of other trees I wish to buy (abiu and achacha). I’m not sure if I’ll have enough room for planting all of them!
I bought 2 loquats in 5 gallon pots last year. The one that I put in a self-watering container already has fruit (which should be ripening soon) and the other has put on a ton of new growth. I kept the one that I didn't up-pot in my greenhouse over the winter and I just transferred it to a self-watering container as well. I have one Big Jim in the ground. It's pretty huge, but after a couple years it still hasn't produced fruit and I bought it when it was around 2 years old. Loquats just seen really finicky but I can't wait to taste the fruit! 😋
Wow, 2 yrs in the ground and still no fruit. I would have thought they would do much better in the ground. Based off your comments and a few others, it would seem when it comes to fruiting, they are finicky whether they are planted in the ground or a container. Best of luck and I hope your trees fruit soon!

I have a couple loquat I grow from seeds. I plan to graft good varieties when my trees are a little bigger.
Best of luck with your trees and thank you for visiting!
