i also had mine for about 5 years and it has been flowering every year in spring but hasn't fruited yet,.. it is a beautiful tree, about 6 feet tall and lots of foliage, i am hoping next year is the year that i finally can taste the fruit

The surinam cherry and Rio grande cherry are from the same region, both of them are subtropical species .

My Rio grande never produce fruit - blossoms fall off and I have it for five years

Did you ever get fruit set? Its been 4 years, Ive heard they do need another one to pollinate, but looking it up now.
Are they growing in Asian tropical countries?. How can I find seeds?
