- First time at track April 30th. Street Legal drags. Issues staging with car as still not have handle of why Line Lock is not working. It will be removed and another set of brake pads put in. Yes!!! it was the oldest car at the track
Am probably a little older , love the 62 - 64 Mopars!!! What a great era, real cars!
BTW nice Cali plates! L.A. native!!
Thank you for the comment. Yeah I love my 64 😁
Same here l have had a couple you either love them or hate. Lol😄
Just a FYI don't do your burnouts in the water box. Pull into the box, give them a spin if the box isn't real wet, pull out of the box and light them up. Doing your burnout in the box will sling water all up inside the wheel well and then drip all over the tires when you're staging.
Nice 500! It was my first Mopar when I was 18. Black with black interior just like yours. Drove it to work every day, raced it on the weekends.
Thank you for the advise. Will definitely give that a try next spring. Appreciate the advise
Thanks for showing ET like you did .
Any human would be very proud of a machine like that.
Now sounds like you got a two step in it .
Thank you very much for your comment. Appreciate you
Awesome. I knew she would break into the 12's. Congrats. I weighed our 64 on a certified truck scale. It weighed 3,700 lbs complete with a full tank...spare tire/jack and tools.
Did you see that Jay Leno just bought a 1964 Dodge Polara 500? Yup.....and now the prices will go up! YES!!!! Good for us. :)
Cheers, Brian and Gayle
What a great looking (and running!) Mopar! My dad befriended a young mechanic at our local Sunoco station back in the late ‘60s. When he wasn’t wrenching on customer cars he worked on his ‘64 Dodge. On Sundays he drove it to the track. Black and black like yours. Basically stock appearing. 383 with torqueflite.
Wow that’s an amazing story. Thanks you for sharing that. I appreciate you
There's a good looking Mopar
Thats a sweety. I love the cars you dont see that much of any more. Im an old school chevy man but a rare mopar takes me back. It dosent have to be the fastest, there's always someone with deep pockets to buy something faster. I even enjoy an old ford, sometimes, lol...
Thanks you for the lovely comment. Have a couple Chevy favourites too if I had extra cash I would grab
My first car back in 1970 was a 1964 Dodge 330.
Thank you for sharing. Hope it brought back great memories. It’s an amazing car
My first car was 68 Dodge Polara with a 383. I added dual exhaust and a few minor things. It was pretty fast. I didn't lose too many street races. (Added benefit was a very big back seat).
What a great car for sure
I had a '65 Dodge Polara with the 383 Mag. It was an old police interceptor with a primered body. 4 door. What a wonderful sleeper...
Your 64 , is Customized , accordingly , to the 62-64 era !!!
Beautiful. Love the build. You pulled off the nostalgic look with those rims as well. Well done.
What a beautiful vehicle old school
Thank you. I appreciate it 😁
absolutelywonderful mermories i am 77 and still loving it
The 64 Polara was my dad's family car back in the 60s. It was blue with a 318 with 2bl and automatic.
It seemed pretty fast to me as a kid....can remember the sound of it dropping into passing gear when dad wanted to get around someone.
I also have fond memories of those days in the car travelling. Your dads car must have been a beauty in that colour
Are you running the original 383? Did your car come with its original numbers matching engine? It looked like it did from watching your other videos.
Thank you for the comment. It is an original 383 console car. The block had a crack so it was replace with a 400. Keep on making great videos on your channel
@@ninjapumkin Did you see that Jay Leno just bought a 64 Dodge Polara 500. Oh...I hope the prices go up.....cause all the wealthy guys are gonna want one now. You might end up turning yours back to stock again if that happens....lol
Very nice!
Appreciate it 👍
Love that car.
grew up in Edmonton, riding in dads 63 Dodge 440. cheers from Calgary.
Back in the day, Michigan State Police had them bad ass MOPARS
I had one exactly the same when I lived in Gimli.
Right on 👍
Nice car!!
Thank you very much. Appreciate it ☺️
Very cool nostalgic build. Sounds like your converter is a bit too tight for your combo. Unless of course you street drive the car than I get that a compromise is needed.
Thanks for watching. It’s a TCS 3600 stall with an anti-ballooning plate. Yeah she’s a little tight and I absolutely do some street driving 😁
Mine was a charger 383 mag outta a 68 super bee
Nice!!
Very cool 'but I'd rather see chrome bumpers.
Thank you for the comment appreciate the insight. I know it’s not for everyone
See the green too slow eh but great car
So true 😂 Thanks for watching
What a beauty 🙂
Appreciate it. Thank you
You need to practice on the tree .it's making you loose off the line
Thank you for watching. Yeah, need some more practice for sure
What track is that?
Rad Torque Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta
@@ninjapumkin Thanks!!
That's painfull to see an old war horse get dogged, square it away
It’s not your car. Give the guy a break. He is owns it so he has a right to use the car as HE prefers.
Your supposed to have the bugs out before you head to the track!! But what do I know??? I have a division 1 title. a 13 second car is like taking a worn out 396 Chevelle to the track. LOL Amature hour at its best. My 1969 Chevelle with 200k on it can out run your pretend play car. LOL
I appreciate you watching. Have many Chevy friends who support me as I support them. We are all car guys 😁
NEED YOUR BLANKY WHEN YOU NAP AT THE LIGHTS LOL.
