That penalty save against Van Persie was kinda the turning point of his career. In the early games De Gea actually made alot of mistakes and did not look confident especially when dealing with crosses into the box. But after that game against Arsenal he really picked up and went on to become one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

He's not as good as he use to be now, made quite a lot of mistakes this season and a few last season, he's a shadow of his former self unfortunately

For me he is the best man united goal kepper of all time. He may not have won a smuch as schmiecal or van der sar but he's been playing in a much worse united side and still consistently been there best player and saved them from embarrassment many times.

@@rickykurnia8940 exactly. Yes this season he's made a lot of mistakes. Noone can deny it and his form has dropped this season. But he's still played games where he saved man united. For example one of the times we played Liverpool. He made 4 or 5 outstanding saves.

Who are here after David de gea's solid performance yesterday against PSG proving he is still one of the best in the world hopefully he will come back in his prime form this season.
De Gea looked meek and wasnt imposing dealing with balls in the box. Especially after Van Der Sar, United fans were frustrated and worried he wouldn't come good. Then he stated showing reflexes and making unorthodox saves with his feet and became one of the best we have seen
