That mata free-kick save was out of this world. I don't think anyone could hit a better free-kick than that. It was in the top bin and yet De gea saved it. I have never seen a better save in my life. Never watched a save this many times.

Plus he has saved us many of times and its not like hes complete dog shit its just the fact that his handling has been poor and hes lost confidence which can always be gained back but i would say he needs to be forced to fight for his place as number 1 GK but we would never completely drop him he saved us too many times for us to drop him .

Arguably the best shot stopper in the history of football. Regardless of the qualities he lacks, in terms of meat and potatos goalkeeping, he is incredible.

If he was in united in any other time with any other defenders, we would already be talking about where his statue should be outside old Trafford.. that good he had been.. without him in the past decade we would have surely slipped 2 3 position almost 6 7 seasons..
Ive said it before and I’ll say it again, de gea’s 17/18 season was the best season by a united player in the premier league era. It was quite literally a Messi-like goalkeeping season. He should be remembered as a club legend.

@@_EmperorPenguin Let's fact check this 2017/2018 they won 0 cups, after winning 3 cups on the previous season. They lost the league to City, lost FA Cup to Chelsea, lost EFL cup to Bristol City, lost UEFA Champions League to Sevilla, lost UEFA super cup to RM. They were pretty good at losing

The best thing I like about De Gea is that he doesn't just save it, he places the ball into safe places away from the goal or strikers. He is thinking one step ahead. Saved Utd so many times. Need him back to this level.

I’m man city fans since 2009, but what can i say, de gea is the best goalkeeper of all time for me, he inspired me to become the best goalie in my state
There was a point in his career that I was so confident in 1v1 situations and shots from 18 yards out that there was no way they were going in. In 2020, I'm on the fence about letting him go but there was a point in his career where he was so jaw droppingly stunning. Its a shame we couldn't put a better team around him. He won't go down as our greatest keeper but he may be our best ever keeper.
