If you go to Lizzie’s latest Empires video, you’ll see that there is a PORTAL that looks a LOT like the RIFT. Lizzie also sent one of her fox villagers (Gary) into it and they disappeared immediately.
What if when Grumbot said he will find a way to make Mumbo king, he somehow found the Empires world?
My theory is: Grumbot created that button to open a portal to Empires to make Mumbo king. Grumbot wanted Grian to press the button so badly that he changed the auto generated content to “Press The Button”
There’s still a lot going on that I can’t explain but if we see a fox villager in Grian’s next episode I’ll actually explode

I was rolling on the floor the entire episode: the bad anvil pun, the quick cut from copper mining to Tango's farm, Scar, the LOLcat discovery, everything! Such a blast.

I know I'm unbelievably late, but I love these videos. School this past year has been really time consuming so these are exactly the vides I need to brighten my day.
It's not only a face, but it makes the stone around the Rift look like a hand reaching out for it. Personally, I like it. It really shows the strange effects the Rift has of the world around it.

I have a loophole in your not creating the resistance. Just repurpose an old resistance like the mycelium resistance. Just change the goal and you didn't create a new one, but you can still resist the king.

So, thinking back on it, the purple void rift thing being several layers of glass is pretty clever
in one of the back layers you could slowly replace purple glass with other glass and make a shadowy figure slowly emerging from the fissure, over time, and just not mention anything about it until another player notices it

The random other-hermit interactions are what really step up Hermitcraft above other Minecraft content... I LOVE the dynamic of the hermits and the random chaos it creates throughout the seasons.

THEORY TIME:
The button when pressed summons a Mumbo from an alternate timeline where he became the mayor of S7. The button was Grumbot's idea, to fight King Ren's rule over the entire Hermitcraft using that Mumbo's leadership skills.
Just like doc being summoned using the goat signal back then huh?
That would definitely explain why Grumbot’s “Grumbot will find a way” last episode after Grian told him he cant make Mumbo mayor if he’s not here in the first place

That was *exquisite* editing for the ending.
Fun idea, make a coaster that goes throughout your base, and changes with the style and theme of that part of the base, and allow admission for a small price
