love that you're playing through this classic!! a little friendly tip, something that helped me a lot my first playthrough: when hacking, try to reveal as many tiles as you can! you'll see plenty of options & potential paths, & also any hidden overcharge & alarm tiles 😊

That jumpscare around 30:00 was hilarious! So was the lightbulb moment when you figured out how to get the key to the dental office by using telekinesis.
You might have caught it in editing, but the weird tile you asked about in the first hack was an alarm tile. If you send the fluid through one of those it will send hostile security bots to your location. I think it kicks you out of the hack screen and you might also take damage since it probably counts as a failed hack. There are four non-standard tiles in total. The alarm tile is one. The tile that looks like a broken cross piece is an overload tile and sending the liquid through that one will instantly drop you to 1 health. There are also resistor pipes (which look like squiggly pipes) which slow down the flow of the liquid and accelerator pipes (which look like narrow pipes) that will speed up the flow of the liquid.
I'm not positive, but I think hacked items like turrets will stay hacked even if you die. Essentially, whatever you do before you die (hacking, looting, killing, etc.) will be maintained even if you die and respawn.
I believe you can always use a Plasmid attack as long as you have any amount of Eve, so even if you only have a sliver of Eve left and a normal Plasmid attack would use half a bar you can still use the attack even though you don't technically have enough Eve to do so.
You'll usually need to jump in order to hack a security camera. They're rarely in a location where you can just stand and hack them.
The antipersonnel rounds are, probably obviously, for "squishy" targets. Splicers, in other words. They're best saved for the Splicer bosses like Steinman who have more health than a normal Splicer does.
I think you could have used your wrench on the grate at 24:30 to save some Eve, though hitting it with lightning works just as well and is probably more fun😁
You might want to think about picking up Enrage, even if you don't keep it equipped all the time. It's very useful for some areas that have a lot of enemies since you can make them fight each other which saves you health and ammo. Of course, if you like doing all the work yourself then you can skip Enrage all together.
Yes, you could have killed the Little Sister by harvesting her. The audio implies that they can't be injured or killed normally, which is the in-game explanation for why you can't attack them. Harvesting them removes the slug, mentioned in the tape, and without the slug the Little Sister will die. As a side note, harvesting or saving all of the Little Sisters will get you a trophy if you're interested in that kind of thing. If you both harvest and save them you don't get any trophies.

That EVE tip is pretty cheeky, to pull off an ability with just the sliver, I’ll remember that, I’m definitely over using the EVE atm - maybe I should try upgrade that next time I’m at Gene Garden 🤔
@@PhoenixNat Eve management is tough, but I think it's pretty balanced overall. The game kind of forces you to use a mix of abilities and weapons and you can't over rely on either of them since Eve is so valuable and ammo is somewhat rare. It can get really tense when you're short on both!

You can buy plasmids at a "Gather's Garden". But to swap them out, you'll need to find a "Gene Bank". It'll be shown in the map if you've discovered one.
