Kody, You did amazing! When you dive right in, you learn a lot, real quick. Watching your video makes me wonder how long it would take for me to get into good enough shape to hike even 30 miles. There is something very comfortable about you and the rest of the Born and Raised crew. Thank you for filming this adventure and experience for us to watch.
This is close to where my Soul decided to stay behind and live forever!! I Live Idaho 24/7 365 all the way from Southern California. That area has broken many men from here! Thanks for the Video
No sweat in dropping out! You gotta listen to your body and respond appropriately. You should check out Mountain Tough Fitness Labs next year. They are out of Bozeman and put together a complete Backcountry Hunter program. I got in on the Pilot test group and absolutely love it. Totally prepped me for the season. Cant wait for 2.0 this year! Good luck to you and the boys of BRO!
Second Segment was good but would liked to have seen more of the country. Kody I hope you are well and the knee is now in good sharp for Sept. Oh, I have been meaning to tell you who ever picks out your music does a GREAT job. Waiting for the next clip.
It's not about the completion it's about trying ,because we never know what we can do unless we try . In my opinion you all won because you had the courage to face a new challenge and take it as far as our bodies will take us .
I've done some long distance hiking when I was younger...30, 40 miles or so on the AT, did one 65 miler. I can tell you that people who hike the AT and PCT hike for several weeks before they get up the endurance that it takes to do 30 miles per day. The vast majority of thru hikers never do more than 25 a day and that is in good flat or rolling terrain at lower elevations. You did 30 miles in one day in the mountains for fun!!!...99% of people on earth could not do that if their life depended on it.
30+ miles in one day is not a failure! There is some elite mountain athletes in that group! A lot of preparation involved for something like that for sure. I’m assuming this is by invite only? Would love to do this to gain a lot of tips and pointers from some great guys. Especially when it’s that close to home.
Killed a great 5 by 6 bull in the Sawtooth Mtns morning out of Stanley 3 years ago heavy horned and about 14 miles in ... took my wife back to see them the next summer and spent the night in Sunny Gulch Campgrounds... the Salmon River is beautiful and mtns are grand ... Onward and Upward is the watchword... great video ..
I just watched this with an adult beverage in my hand (disclaimer). you all have such a diverse audience to appeal too. The flat landers who have never spent the amount of time going up and down that is required would never appreciate this event. Those of us lucky enough to work up and down all that God has created are still shaking our heads. I did my work out tonight with my 11 year old daughter and told her it is not the amount of weight that makes us strong, it is the desire to succeed in our endeavors that makes us who we are. Please pass along to all those who were involved (I am sure that there was an email list) that their hard work is inspirational and appreciated. My workouts will be harder tomorrow!Keep up the good work and God Bless
Glad to see you know your limits. It’s not worth hurting yourself and ruining your September. 30+ miles in one day is no joke. 95% of guys wouldn’t be able to due that. I am so looking forward to Land of the Free 2.0.
Please don't cry that is pretty embarrassing especially when ty killed his bull now it sounds like your wanting to bail out of this death hike man up buddy..
Morale Crew is the way to go! Pizza and beer over destroyed feet, ill take a beer any day!

Fantastic video with a great soundtrack. I keep trying to get something like this going with my friends. Someday...
You didn't fail brother!!! People that fail are the ones that don't try at all! Great job and good luck to you guys this year!!!
That was a cool change of scenery. Clear the mind and prep the soul for September. Tough guys. Thanks for sharing Kody.
whoever the guy was that refused the pizza and continued hiking is a beast.

Don't I wish. I just did a 7 miler a Nevada Mule deer hunt. Heavy pack out. They should have had these 35 years ago. Way to go guys!
Looks fun to me would love to be apart of the next one.

You're nuts if 30 miles in a day is a failure! I'm humbled and now super nervous about Colorado in a couple weeks. No chance I could do 30+ in a day.
So you camped at the galleena trail head at the end of day one nice
Insane. But what a cool idea. I have never done anything that intense. 25 a day is as far as I have done.
